Sir Caco alone will effectively sell this vehicle to anyone who can afford it :) I also admire many other car reviewers, but no one comes close to Sir Caco (no offense to the others, but he is really that good).

Me too bro, I also have a CX-8. But man, this has a CX-9 engine in a CX-5 body geez, this would easily beat our 2.5 NA CX-8.

Hi Caco, Thanks for the update without a time lag with the news release. In a way, this news is disappointing... With this, the diesel variant has disappeared from Mazda's lineup in the Philippines... To mention Mazda's 2.2L diesel and 2.5L gasoline turbo, diesel is like gasoline and gasoline is like diesel. This gasoline turbo variant is a great engine with high-exhaust diesel-like feel. Although fuel efficiency is secured in return for its performance, the figure may disappoint many consumers.It's already super expensive. Also, as many Filipino consumers already know, the CX-5 product update at the end of last year was quite large. Considering its size, I'm still dissatisfied with the fact that there are only three variants in the Philippines, but I strongly hope that you will send us a detailed video review, especially for the ride-like update.🙏

i think there is no test drive car for mazda 3 m-hybrid. it took them more than 4 months to deliver mine, got the first batch last feb2022.. limited supply from mazda japan.

@@kixnimrod6407 Yes, looks like it. Dropped by a Mazda shop kanina, the queue for M3 is very long specially for Red color. Paisa isa or dalawa lang daw ang dating per month so if you plan to get one, you’ll have to wait a minimum of 2-3 months I guess.

Caco, a bit disappointed that they retained that awful hood prop rod. Gas struts would be the icing on the cake. What a magic color, Zircon Sand. Makapag ingglis na nga rin nag iinglis kasi si Caco eh. Really and seriously get the Mazda. Here in the US especially California we are pampered by the dealership aesthetic. Clean and simple lots with separate brand new and used ones. Showroom are very neat with cubicles for buying customers. Customer lounge provided free wifi. And the most I liked and needs is the merienda pastries, potato chips, power bars. You won't get bored while you're waiting for your car on service. Unlike any other imports...whew and behold only coffee and hot water. You must bring your own donuts.

Bagay sa personality mo as Science Elements of 'Air & Space' 2013 nmn ang CX-5 ko Sport, manual 6-speed, 35 mpg highway, pushstart button. 167,000 mileage na.

Just wondering if Mazda can make the length of the hood (engine & bay) shorter but keep the same engine power???

They won’t because proportions speak volumes. A long hood looks elegant and gives the impression of a rear-wheel driven car (longitudinal engine). pag short yung harap it does not give the impression of a powerful engine. It works wonders when you see it in person. Yan din style ng Bentley Bentayga and Genesis G80.

Mazda's SkyActive engine and transmission are way better than any other Asian make. As they makes it lighter and compact, stronger on hills plus gas economy of 35 mpg freeway. I had 2013 CX-5 Sport, manual, 6-speed, 35 mpg highway, pushstart button. As it's so strong on hill climbing @ 70 to 80 miles per hour on hills no American and European car comes close on CX-5.

No regrets at all with the CX-8 purchase about a month ago but this isn't bad. For the price though, it's the 8 all day.

There is no CX-8 here in US. Baka ineexperiment pa sa Asia.

Ill go with Azkarra. The only problem is, where can I get money to buy one.

2023 cx-5 is right around the corner.

Its really tempting to buy everytime this Caco guy showcase a review. This is just for me. With the price, i still prefer the non- Turbo AWD or the Forester, tested and reliable AWD and the Eyesight functions and less maintenance due to added Turbo.

CX-5 TURBO has 0-60 around 6.2 sec, Car and Driver magazine rated it 6.1 sec, but not sure where are you getting 7.7 sec. Unless we're talkin of different CX-5 Turbo than we what we have in US

Hoping the infotainment is the same as the new Mazda 3!

I wish we could get the Mazda 3 AWD 2.5 Turbo in the Philippines. Lighter body than the CX5 so better performance. Big engine on a small body.

I looooove Mazda. But it's pretty disappointing to see a late-cycle refresh that still retains that 10-year-old MZD Connect system. Hopefully we get an all-new gen next year. :)

Personally, I don't need that speed. I will be satisfied with the naturally aspirated CX5 with its 175hp (as far as I can remember). And it's very disappointing that Mazda did not put the headunit found in the CX30 on this turbo CX5 variant.

At last availabale na din sa pinas ung turbo sa cx 5, matagal na kasi sa ibang bansa yan eh

Nope, magkaiba sila ng tambol, ang CX-50 ay parang rav4, dahil na rin sa alliance ito ng Toyota. Mas mura ang CX-50 budget friendly at naturally aspirated engine.
