Paul, you are correct with feeling condiderable more power in the Mazda. The 4JJ3 motor has around 380 Nm at the wheels compared to the Ranger 3.2 with around 315 Nm at the wheels. A lot of power loss throgh the drive train with the Ranger. OME, one of the best after market suspensions. Especially the shocks. Glad you finally got to experience that Paul.

I’ve had the bp51s in my hilux since 2017. Not overly noticeable driving around town, but get off road such as the inland tracks at Fraser Island and they are fantastic. The adjustment in the shocks is handy as my car is empty most the time, but can firm them up if I’m loaded up to go camping.

@@CarExpertAusI don't think I'd be keen to do it regularly... using to tool is a bit of a pain as the front adjustment is on the shock inside the coil so a little fiddly, the rear is worse as you have to get under the car to reach the rear shock adjustment (that's how I do it anyway). Still bloody handy when you happen to find your self with a heap of weight in the back and a long drive ahead of you (but wont bother for short trips). Stiffen up the shocks will stop it behaving like a boat also reduces the suspension from bottoming out (it doesn't take much weight to make comfort rear leaf springs unhappy)

Especially where it runs over the roof and the tonneau cover is identical. A Holden Mazda Ute with Isuzu heart

Interesting the market for this, they put suspension on it that would be great for corrugations and gravel surfaces (not much point spending $6k to beef it up around town as it would make limited difference) but then they put tan interior inserts and a spec'ed up interior (and all those blacked out surfaces) which will show the dirt and dust and get marked really easily. Like the concept of the suspension but would not waste it on an upmarket interior.
