2022 Land Rover Discovery Sport SUV Review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Not everybody wants large and expensive SUVs, such as Range Rover or Discovery that is why Land Rover came out with the Discovery Sport. It actually shares its platform with Jaguar E-Pace and Range Rover Evoque, but discovery sport looks much larger than its siblings. Out tester is P250, so it came with a 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine producing respectable numbers and moving the car nicely. But I guess because it is quite heavy (4,530lb), it isn’t so efficient. So, today, let's drive the 2022 Land Rover Discovery Sport and see how it feels on the road.

Advised my doctor against buying the Land Rover Discovery. He went ahead and purchased one. Heard about it later after he sheepishly admitted to being without his new vehicle , it being back at the dealers , plagued by a host of reliability issues. Should have taken by advise and bought the Toyota Prado .

I am especially glad you mentioned your height. I'm 6'3" and car reviews when I don't know the size of the reviewer are nearly useless to a tall person.

Don't buy another Range Rover until Jaguar/Land Rover fix or recall a well-known and common exhaust manifold issue they don't want to take responsible for. This issue affects at least 4 models; LR2, EVOQUE, DISCOVERY, FREELANDER. They're having owners pay $7300 repair cost for a poor/defective system they are aware of. If "they" don't know, the entire QC team at JLR should be fired for hiding this fact. The exhaust manifold is a three-piece system; the flange(bolted to the engine head), exhaust pipes welded to the flange and the turbo. The problem is with the design of the exhaust pipes bent too close to the flange where there is no possible way to complete a full-circle weld around the exhaust pipes. This leaves an open space where vibration can start a crack separating the flange and exhaust pipes. At 48K, it can start to develop a small crack and when the crack is big enough where the flange and pipes are separated, you can smell exhaust fumes/gas in the engine bay. There is a greater risk here where some owners faced dangerous situation when the engine lost power because the turbo finally seized up. I'm afraid to drive my car long distance until the entire exhaust manifold system is replaced. ATM, I can't afford $7300 repair cost so I'm only traveling short distance. JLR love to market shiny, curvy, and technology-advanced vehicles but won't talk much about reliability - they'll leave that up to be discovered by the owners. Would love to see JLR prove me wrong. Better yet, would love to see JLR own and fix their mistake.

I love the interior of the Range Rovers.... Shame they are only pushing the Hybrids and the full EV's are being left for another 2 or 3 years. They don't understand that there is actually big demand for luxury EV's.

4:57. I can read the label on your Levis 511. 32" leg; I guessed you to be much taller :-) The British car is wonderful when new, but I heard you need to get rid of it when the warranty ends? Maybe the situation has improved?
