2022 Hyundai Tucson Review - FUTURISTIC!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
2022 Hyundai Tucson review by The Straight Pipes. The Hyundai Tucson is pumping out 227hp combined and 258 lb ft tq from a hybrid 1.6L Turbo 4 cylinder. Sitting at $41,499 CAD, would this be your pick over the Honda CRV, Toyota Rav4, Nissan Rogue, Mazda CX-5, Subaru Forester?

Hyundai and Kia has been doing this regularly for years now, I remember even back to like 2011 Sportage. I don't get it. I get the design struggles etc, but it's just so disconnected and you don't notice them immediately when driving behind, takes a split second to realize the lowest part of the bumper is blinking...
@ashtonrichard594

@@richardnavratil9661 Totally agree! There shouldn't have to be any confusion as to where a vehicle's turn signals are located. Personally, I have had some instances where a Kia/Hyundai vehicle is turning in front of me but I don't notice right away and it really is a safety issue. I'm honestly surprised there isn't some regulation that prevents the placement of turn signals/reverse lights so low on the vehicle since I know headlights cannot be lower than a certain point according to regulations

I actually just bought the 2022 Hyundai Tucson. I was confused about why I didn’t have a tachometer in the dashboard, so I i dove into the settings, and I found that if you change the settings in the cluster part of your dashboard settings ( you can do that through the steering wheel in the instrument cluster) , you can actually switch your power consumption gauge to a traditional tachometer. What I think is most valuable about this car, and something you actually didn’t cover, is the app that goes along with it. Hyundai’s app for controlling the vehicle and having preset remote start functions for various different types of weather settings, really makes them stand out among the other competition. And they’re leasing options are fantastic.

I only found out about it today. Lol
I recently purchased a 2023 Tucson Hybrid on 12/3/22. I loved the car when I test drove it and watched hours of reviews from KZread. One thing that every single review failed to mention, is the issue Hyundai has with their panoramic sunroofs, as well as the small piece of glass inbetween the sunroof and the front windshield. There have been class action lawsuits filed against Hyundai because apparently these pieces of glass like to spontaneously burst. This happened to my 2023 Tucson after just ONE WEEK of driving. Walked out to my car ready to head to work, and noticed this giant crack in the glass, expanding from one end all the way to the other end. Car is back at the dealership right now, allegedly getting fixed at no cost to me. But some of the personal stories I've read online make me hesitant to believe that Hyundai is actually going to cover it. I'll come back with more details once I get an update. But just wanted other buyers to be aware of this common issue. I am not very pleased.

Wow this is one of the best 2022 suvs i seen. I cannot believe how sick hyundai made the tucson. It looks soo sick inside and outside front and rear. Wow, might be getting one. 👍
The Tucson has come a long way in a short amount of time. I remember selling these in 2020. I would of never bought one. I love this car. I don’t need it but wow it cool to know it exists and where the future is going
We just picked ours up five days ago, and have decided there is not a single feature that we can imagine wanting in a car that we didn't get in this one. Not a single complaint at this point.
Thank you for bringing up that whole thing about GMs reverse lights and turn signals down low on a lot of cars. Form over function
Could you guys also please talk about remote start features in all your reviews? If a car comes with it or not? Like a 'remote start test'
I've been driving mine for 2 months, a '22 model and it's been AMAZING. Not the hybrid model but unless I'm stuck in town, I'm getting upper 20's MPG. Highway runs, 37 MPG is doable. And that I could put a tow hitch on so easily was great. A little heavy high ride coming from an Elantra GT but still stable. Been great.
I LITERALLY can't wait for you guys to review the Hyundai Kona 2022 (revamped!)
Love 'em or hate 'em, you can't deny that Hyundai has some of the best car designs (both interior and exterior) in the general economy car market. Being at the forefront of futuristic design will give them a lot more experience on potential future design trends over other automakers.
Love everything other than the gloss black.
Great review as always guys. No baby seat test this time?
I don't know why, but your guys' economy SUV videos are so much more interesting to watch than Doug's quirks and features. Turn signal thing makes sense, most people pull up too closely at stop signs/lights. Way back when I was doing my student driver training, the teacher told me to always make sure i could see the tires on the vehicle in front of me so if I got rear ended I would be less likely to hit the car in front of me because of the gap I left. That advice has stuck with me for 20+ years so low mounted turn signals dont bother me.
