I'm with you Kelly! I love the look of the Palisade. After extensive comparison shopping it came down to this or the Telluride and I think I made the right choice for my family with the Palisade. Hoping to have it before the end of this year. Thanks for the car seat reviews and your enthusiasm!

I was literally signing paperwork to purchase 2022 Telluride. When I looked over, saw the Palisade Calligraphy. Climbed into it and screamed to my husband. THIS IS WHAT IM BUYING ‼️ In the perfect world, I would want the Telluride exterior and the Palisade Calligraphy interior! Never in a bazillion years did I think I would purchase anything Hyundai branded. NO REGRETS ‼️

MERCEDES BENZ OWNER HERE - AFTER DRIVING HYUNDAI - I WANT ONE because it quieter than merc benz, and the steering effort its really easy to turn the steering wheel AND like merc, the turning radius is small

I got this exact car (2021) except in the blue and with captains chairs (2 forward car seats so it gives easy access to the third row). Same package, AWD, and I gotta say, I love it! Your previous review of the palisade it was sold me on the car. Thanks for doing what you do, as a mom, I really don’t need to know the torque as opposed to the trunk space 😁

Love my Palisade!! From way up here in Northern Alberta Canada, I will say that the Palisade delivered on the winter roads. I've driven Jeeps for years and obviously the two cannot compare in off road capability, however dealing with so much snow, ice and drifts. We had a few week with alot of snowfall ( 1 to 2 feet in a few days) on my country roads, I was able to get around with confidence.

We just bought a 22 limited and LOVE it. 4 kids over here! Got it for MSRP too. Switched from the mini van life. No regrets. The features are fantastic, it has everything!!

I got myself a 2022 Hyundai Palisade (SEL) with premium package black on black. My fiancée and I love it, all of interior features come in handy! A lot of storage, plenty of charging outlets (front,second, and third row), and the best part is how comfortable it is while cruising on the highway!

Just got a 2022 Palisade Calligraphy yesterday and it's awesome for a family with a toddler. Every feature we wanted or wish to be there in other cars is there. I am 6 ft tall and I can feel so comfortable in the 3rd row seat. I've tried in Audi Q7, and I could barely breathe and can't stretch legs.

Been binging on all your videos recently to see if there's anything to replace the comfort and utility of our Pacifica (in order to get AWD) at a similar price, and man, it's hard to beat the van! I'm a car guy, but too often focus on performance and looks, which is what you mostly get in magazine and online articles, so I love that you dig into the things that make a difference in everyday living like cupholders, shifters in the way, 3rd row access, 3rd row vents, trunk space, you do a great job!

We have a 2021 black on black calligraphy and absolutely love it. Fun to drive, comfortable to ride in. I personally love captains chairs and they fit my 2 under 2 perfect (both still rear facing for now). The 3rd row is actually comfy unlike the atlas and other 3 row midsize. I’d choose it 1 million times over (and definitely over the telluride)!

Friday I picked up my 2022 Palisade SEL Premium - with beige interior....I am so in love but at same time a bit overwhelmed with all the features. My older car is was a 2019 Tuscan, lots of features but is too small for this young Grammie of 12 grandchildren. Thank you for reviewing this vehicle, just wish the SEL was reviewed it has a ton features and is a bit less expensive but still high end vehilce.

I’ve sat in the third row with both of my kids (7 and 11) and was extremely surprised how comfortable it was. 2 kids and a child can definitely fit there. on the other hand I sat also in the 2023 MDX by myself and felt claustrophobic.

This convinced me to buy my 22 Palisade Calligraphy and I am SO EXCITED

I appreciate you and your reviews, they have really highlighted how poorly vehicle manufacturers plan for car seats sometimes- so those of use planning for more than 1 kids can select the smartest car for our family!

I have this car and love it. A few things. I have 4 kids, agree the middle seat in the 3rd row is a joke. Also, my big kids who sit in the back can recline the 3rd row with buttons by thier seats. When I do pickup orders, the target employees sometimes have a hard time fitting things in. I realized it was because my kids were lounging with the seats back as far as they will go and it encroaches on trunk space. I have to go to the back to adjust the seat recline so more stuff can fit. Also, as cool as the USB ports are in on the seats and in the back, they charge super slow. My kids prefer to use a fast charger in the regular port with long cords. Passenger talk is really useful so mom doesn't have to yell at kids. I feel like when the passenger talk bell chimes and they hear me speaking low and slow, it's as if you use thier middle name. The kids know it's serious. Also, I just love the hieght of this car. I don't have to bend over to get kids in the car, and I don't have to reach up to put kids in car seats.

I bought a 22 limited and LOVING it got 3kids over here(single mom) got it from MSRP too switched from the mini-van life no regrets the features are so fantastic it has everything! all thanks to my Investment in crypto it really payed off.

I have a 2020 palisade limited and LOOOVE it!!! It’s been such a fabulous vehicle fir our family. Calligraphy edition and Limited edition are very similar from what I can tell.

Me too. Love it as well. I think the only difference is aesthetics. The leathers and the wheels and the chrome. Features wise I think limited and calligraphy are identical.

Love the look as well. I have a Ram 1500 Express right now and don't want to go too small when I trade up so the Pallisade will probably be the chosen one!!

Great review which led us to purchase a 2022 Palisade Calligraphy AWD: but there are some areas for improvement: add power folding exterior side mirrors, add sunglass holder in interior and add illumination for the overhead light buttons and those rims on calligraphy trim are a bit 'loud', design something more classy; and last but not least, consider adding hybrid powertrain as is offered on many other Hyundai products.

I agree, although I like the front better on the Telluride and the folding mirrors, I like the side and back view better on the Palisade. When it comes to the interior, the Palisade wins hands down! One differing view on the Calligraphy level though, I think the rims are a bit too much. That said, I'm about to order and wait 120 days for a Limited, however, that is at MSRP. Can be found, after dealing with a number of dealers at +$5K (Telluride at +$15k), I found a great dealer by asking on a Hyundai Palisade forum. So with a little patience, can still get MSRP :)

We had the 2020 Limited and now the 2022 Calligraphy since I couldn't believe the trade in allowance for the 2022...almost as much as we paid for the Limited new! One thing nice about a popular vehicle, solid warranty and limited supply I guess. Other than the horrendous looking wheels on our Calligraphy (either you like or hate them), we really enjoy our Palisade.

We test drive this one yesterday and I loved it. It wasn’t even on my list cause I’m so obsessed with the telluride. But dang after seeing it it’s beautiful 😍 I’m still torn between the the telluride and palisade.

I can’t decide between the Kia Carnival and this car. Mostly because I can’t find either vehicle anywhere near me to go look at or test drive! I have a 9 month old and potentially plan for one more kid. Any advice?

I got out of my 2021 Odyssey for this and I wanted to come back and update my thoughts. First the bells and whistles are exciting! Howeverrrrr after some time I noticed a few things I don’t like. Number one as a Mom with a large purse I found I constantly was struggling to find a place to put it especially when I had a front passenger. Also trunk space became this power struggle of me having my stroller or me having space for groceries. Yes you can fold seats down but if you use them it’s not for you. The garage door opener is slow and I thought it was our door initially but over time I realized it’s the transmitter . Also, lack of cup holders is a real thing !! Door cubbies don’t fit anything . Suede headline is annoying when your kids touch it and put hand prints in the fabric lol. Gas mileage was worse than my Odyssey (I do mainly city driving ). Last the stupid door locks.. I don’t know what kind of magically button sequence you need to hit to get all the doors unlocked but there was several times I hit unlock and walked around to get my toddler out only to find that doors locked , then try front passenger and that’s locked .. or I’d try to unlock the doors for everyone and they lock them unlock then lock … just super frustrating (also locks are only unlockable on front doors not on rear doors you have to hit the button). Overall it has soooo many bells and whistles but falls short on some functional items. I am a mom with young kids and in the end I went back to my Odyssey which gave me back these functional things and while I gave up quiet mode, sounds of nature and the parking camera which I loved… I am happier back in my van which also has a better turn radius as well. Palisade is a nice vehicle but as a mom it just isn’t As functional as I thought.

Can you do the 2022 Ford Expedition, I know other car reviews on you tube have already doing it . But I rather hear from a mom that can review it 🙂. Thank you love this video

Great video! Interesting take on it being more of a six person car over a seven. Any immediate thoughts on this versus the Acura MDX 2022 (advance package) you reviewed a few months back? Especially if it’s a three kid situation (5 yo, 3 yo, and newborn)?

Does anyone know what package it is that makes this suv look like it has ground effects? For some reason some Palisades look shorter and more narrow and others look more wide please advise. What package does this calligraphy have?

Definitely a fan girl since this is our vehicle !! 💙 We had a 2021 Telluride and liked it, but it wasn’t love, so we sold it, and bought a 2022 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy with AWD, and yes, it’s similar but I think this one is honestly better. I love it! We’re currently a 1 car seat family with another on the way to fit in the 2nd row comfortably + we typically have the 3rd row down and those folding seat buttons work like a dream. I also seriously appreciate the trunk tailgate feature that I can just stand in the rear and after a few seconds it opens up for me, so handy with my hands full ! My husband is 6’4” and I’m 5’3” so the memory seat features are a must (especially since I like to extend the actual seat out with that nifty feature). Oh, and we have the portable vacuum you recommended and it fits in the bottom cup holder of any of the doors = AMAZING 😍

We just bought this exact SUV last week. Color is the same. We are so in love with this vehicle! So much to learn. Gonna take awhile for it all. It is amazing. We actually bought it because we have 2 huge doodles. It works perfectly for us! I would love to know the same about the portable vacuum as well.

@SimplyRad For me it was all that awesome storage space underneath the center stack. The Kia didn’t have that and I need all the cubbies especially hidden ones!! Other things I love are the heads up display. And, the auto cruise control works like a dream and I love the check rear seat alert! I have 3 kids and we are very happy with our Palisade!

Love how Hyundai gives you sunshades on a 49k Palisade but Chevrolet doesn’t give them to ya on an 80k Tahoe

That’s because a tahoe is body on frame, it’s quite literally a pickup truck, where as a palisade is unibody like a car. Unibody is cheaper to make and lighter, but less off-road capable. With that savings they can add in other features that most people don’t want/need to make their vehicle more appealing

I have a 2020 palisade limited and it has a lot of the upgrades that the new calligraphy has. It’s like they down graded the new limiteds. Either way I love my palisade! I actually traded in my expedition platinum max for it believe it or not! And I have to say the technology in this palisade far exceeds anything does has!

Love the push button on the bottom for 3rd row access!

Would love a new sienna tour too since you last one was the first video on your channel.

Have the 2020 limited and with #3 on the way; I’m having to upgrade to a bigger one. If this car has car seat friendly tilt and an upper tether anchor on the back single seat, I would be able to make it work possible but I can’t put my oldest in the back and lose all that trunk space

We’re looking into getting the 2022 limited. They are so hard to find. I called the dealership so they can call me before they arrive. What exterior color did you get and do you have car seats? We have one rear facing and soon to have another so I hope it’s a good fit.

I'm 6'1 and drove one last weekend, I think you'd be fine. I had a TON of leg room and definitely didn't need to have the seat anywhere near all the way back.

I am living for this review! So funny 😅 and everything I needed to know as a mum with a 3 year old and a baby.

Can you make a suggestion for someone 6 ft and a rear facing graco? We currently have a juke and a Mazda CX-5 and and these are too small even for me at 5’5 with a rear facing graco behind me

Incredibly disappointed that you cannot get all the upgrades with a bench seat. No double sunroof, premium sound, cooled seats, heated steering wheel :-( Still getting the SEL though… can’t wait!
