Customers can choose from six exterior colors, including five nature-inspired hues exclusive to IONIQ 5. The color choices are Phantom Black (Pearl), Cyber Gray (Metallic), Atlas White (Solid), Digital Teal (Green Pearl), Lucid Blue (Pearl), Shooting Star (Gray Matte). The interior has three color options Obsidian Black Monotone, Dark Pebble Gray/Dove Gray, Dark Teal/Dove Gray.
Electric Motors and Battery Setups to Suit Every Customer
IONIQ 5 is available with a range of drive motors to fit the needs of every customer. Customers can mate the 77.4 kWh battery pack to two electric motor layouts, either with a rear motor only or with both front and rear motors. The top-of-the-line dual motor setup is an all-wheel drive (AWD) option producing a combined power output of 320 horsepower (74 kW front + 165 kW rear) and 446 ft.-lbs. of torque. An IONIQ 5 with this configuration can go from 0 to 60 MPH in less than 5 seconds. The single-motor layout with a rear motor offers 225 horsepower (168 kW) and 258 ft.-lbs. of torque and two-wheel drive (2WD).
When equipped with a single motor (2WD), IONIQ 5’s maximum driving range on a single charge is an EPA estimated 303 miles. The maximum range of the dual motor all-wheel drive models is an EPA estimated 256 miles. All configurations have a top speed of 115 MPH and can tow a trailer with a capacity of up to 2,000 pounds.
Premium Head-Up Display with Augmented Reality Technology
For the first time in a Hyundai, IONIQ 5 features a Head-Up Display (HUD) with Augmented Reality (AR) mode, essentially turning the windshield into a display screen. Drivers can choose to use AR technology to project relevant information, such as turn-by-turn navigation, advanced safety and the car’s surroundings nearly 4 feet (44 inches) in front of their line of sight on the road. This allows drivers to process information quickly while keeping their attention on the road ahead.
Bose Sound System
IONIQ 5 features a premium Bose sound system. Its eight speakers, including a subwoofer, are strategically placed throughout the vehicle for a high-quality listening experience.

    I've watched a lot of videos (great videos) about the Ioniq 5. But yours is the best of all of them. I found it immensely helpful understanding the car. You are easy to listen to. I appreciate how you take your time explaining everything. It just makes it easier to follow and understand. I also like how you provide solid information that an ordinary person can actually use. No fluff. Finally, I like how you are not the center of the presentation... you are just an easy to listen to voice in the background. You are not the "star" here because the information you provide is the focus. Anyway, thanks . This was so helpful.

    Definitely the most indepth look at this EV. It should be pointed out that the Limited trim is the only way to get Bose Premium Audio with a subwoofer, but word in the forums is the sound isn't very "premium" as far as bass thump and fidelity.

    Great Video, also a very important feature is the Utility Mode (not only for V2L power outlet on the back) but also acts like Tesla camp mode, allows you to keep only climate control on without having to leave the vehicle in drive mode, perfect for camping in the car!

    @@carlfeniak2224 I went for the Limited / Ultimate trim in Galactic grey. Here in the UK we don't get the moon roof, which only is available on the special 'Namsan edition' . I've had a whole week with it on loan. It really is leagues ahead of the competition.

    Really great review with all the important in depth details into the menues. I sold my Tesla model 3 Performance after 2,5 years and are saving to a new car. Ionic 5 is one of my favourite EVs, i really like the look and the size. Thanks.

    It should be pointed out that, like the Teslas, the Ioniq 5 and EV6 can give full throttle acceleration for extended periods of time unlike the Mach E which has to resort to 5 second bursts due to battery cooling needs.

    Does IONIQ 5 make a great car for newbie drivers/first-time car owners? Considering the amount of safety features it has, and the difference in the handling of the vehicle compared to regular ICE vehicles, will this make a great car for learning drivers?

    I saw one in person a few weeks ago. It's true what others have said which is that it's larger in person than it looks on video. Just not as long and tall as a Mach E or Model Y. The ID4 is slightly taller.

    I don’t know why they made the bezel for the dash and infotainment so large and silver. I think it would look better in piano black to create a more continuous look. It reminds me of the first Gen iPad screen with the giant bezel

    Yeah I have to disagree on this being a suv. It’s definitely a hatchback. It doesn’t fit the physical profile of a SUV at all. Surprisingly you did not show where the 12v battery is….useful for when the thing goes wacko and needs to be reset which is an issue with a lot of evs including this one sadly. Also what’s with the fake cash? 🤣

    If you buy this vehicle and are looking forward to the tax credit associated with EVs then you better tell the IRS what the manufacturer says... SUV. It is currently a larger tax credit for SUVs. The battery is visible at 21:48 The "fake cash" is my business card. Note my name and branding on it at 54:40

    @@MikesCarInfo Oh please don’t get me wrong….they classify my Bolt EV as a “station wagon” when it is not. Classification means nothing. LOL. Yes I saw your branding on the fake cash but still. As for the battery you can see part of it but you didn’t show how to access it through the storage compartment. Still a great video and look forward to watching part 2 when I have the time to do so.     I usually put those bills in the compartments so the camera has something to focus on. Some cars just have a dark abyss in the compartments so it adds some context to the depth. Also it is unique.
