2022 Husqvarna Norden 901 Review
Big shout out to my buddy Pete for loaning me his brand new 2022 Husqvarna Norden 901 to test! In this video I review the 2022 Husqvarna Norden 901. I go over the specs, features, and share my thoughts of what it like to ride the bike. I got to ride it over the course of two weekends and not only testing in on the pavement but also off-road. If you're looking to purchase one of these for yourself, I hope you find this video helpful.

I've watched loads of 901 reviews but I learnt so much more watching your video, good job and thank you .
Thanks for showing the side panel tool storage.
I've watched quite a few reviews about Norden...this is hands down the best one for me :)

Thanks!
My favorite features are the adjustable handlebar and the secret compartments inside the covers. Pete can hide his radar detector in there when he comes to visit.

Thanks for pointing out the headlight adjustment knob! I could not find anything about it when I was checking out the bike.
This was by far, the best mc review I’ve ever seen. Great job!👍🏼 Keep em coming (Great production value too! (soft focus in some places aside;)
Thanks for the review! Pete should have lots of fun on that one.
Another great review, Mario, and super nice, bike, Pete! Look forward to seeing it at the Boyer Farm Track this fall!
Just picked one up this weekend I'm very impressed.
Great review. I'm really leaning towards this bike.
Thank you for the great review. This is going to be my next bike.
Great Bike review on the Norden... Thx Mario!
Great in-depth review Mario. 👍 Interested in what accessories Pete fits to his Norden.
Great video Mario! Your unique style stands out, brother! Thanks for sharing your adventures!! The best you do: your 1290 tutorials. I owe you a lot for that. Not only it saved me money and time, but it made me love my bike even more than just the awesome ride that it is. Thanks a lot hermano!

Appreciate it, Gary!
I am probably going to buy one of these this weekend. I've researched numerous reviews on KZread and fell asleep watching the same old dribble. But, congratulations on your post as it truly provided all the necessary information I require when considering this purchase. It was truly captivating and interesting, as we say in England -Bloody Well done you!!! Great Information.

Thanks for the review. I was looking at replacing my 1190advr with this as I have a 701e and LOVE it. But it's a 1190...I just can't stand the tank/air filter configuration...such a pain when all you ride is dusty off road.
Great review 👍🏽
Happen to come across your channel!!! Man you put out some good content subscribed today 4/6/22

I've never gone off-road but this seems like a good bang-for-your-buck bike. Didn't know you could tie in your own heated grips to the controls, that's awesome

To clarify, believe they need to be the KTM/Husky grips ~$200 I think.
This was probably the most comprehensive in depth review I've found so far. This puts a lot of the bigger channels to shame. Great work guys!

Thank you for an excellent review. I'm considering the Norden after riding my 2014 1190 ADV R for the past couple of years. I am inseam challenged (29-30"). The 1190 puts a smile on my face when going over 6k rpm, but I really want a bike I can put miles down with. BTW, can you cover what the access to the air box is? My 1190 causes me to break out in teardown sweats.
Great review Mario 👍🏻. Agree with everything you’ve said.It’s a very easy bike to ride and its balance and feel is very good, feel perfect when riding slow and in traffic jams etc. only thing I’m not a fan of the mechanical sound of the engine.

Just put a deposit down on one. Out of all the reviews this one is the most in depth thorough reviews. Good job, thank you.

Also a heads up on the Quickshifter It is disabled for 1-2 and 2-1 gear changes.
Nice detailed review! I need ALL TH#E BIKES! Seriously, I'd love a mid-sized bike like the 790/890 to compliment my Tiger 1200....sigh...some day. Ride safe!
You had me at no key fob. What I'd like to see from KTHusGasvarMa is a "bare bones" model stay in the Adventure line. The 1090 nailed that. ABS, Traction Control, a good off-road suspension and no unnecessary jank like an iPad for a gauge cluster.

😂 I've lost count on the number of rants I've made about key fobs but happy they went with a key on this one. Personally, I'd prefer a standard gauge cluster as well but seems like tft is the way everyone is going.

That’s why I ended up with a 1090R over a 1290R. Well, that and the 4K in savings.
almost a perfect bike, its only missing an adjustable windscreen that successful block the wind at higher speeds. We will problem see that addressed in future releases or with an aftermarket solution. Nice review
just yesterday took mine for its first ride , just 60 or so miles doing break in stuff so jury still out , seat O' pants feel compared to the KTM1090R it replaced it feel small , will need some ergonomic changes but also super small/Light nimble much much more so than the scale would suggest , feels like half the size... front brakes feel good like the 1090's rear felt smooshy and not as positive... huh theres no tool kip in mine ? YES YES i completely agree the pegs feel high and back further than im used to and yes as a long time KTM fanboi who has also owned MANY this stock seat is the first one that was good , slopes into the tank though so ill still be going to seatconcepts i think... i am 6'3" and i will need bar risers and taller windshield for sure + when available stiffer springs
I try not to use the quickshifter from 1 up to 2 because of the Neutral in the middle but I use it from 2 up to 6 and back. In any bike have owned with quickshifter.
Very detailed and honest review. Well done! Definitely a viable middleweight adventure bike.
Please compare with TUAREG 660!
Was watching your vid an said he has to be in the northeast area. PA?
One question I have is how is the pillion comfort for a 5’2” light weight .. if you could comment. Is it comfortable for multiple hour 2lane highway and light gravel, backroad stuff 2up. Could you also comment on the factory lowering kit, what’s involved and costs to do so Great detail and real world informative video
@2WR

I believe that's more than one question 😂 I had my son on the back of the bike all day one Sunday (he's 5'1" and about 105lbs). He was comfortable. Yes, it's comfortable for multiple hour 2 lane and/or gravel. I'd go do an Ironbutt on it tomorrow and not think twice about it. Now if you're asking about 2up under those conditions, I'll leave that up to your passenger. While Noah was fine on the back doing that, some passengers may not enjoy the roughness of off-road. The factory lower kit only lowers the light 22mm or about .8 inches. The parts alone cost $600 and I'd guess you'd spend a total of $1200-$1500+ in parts AND labor. The front forks needs to be removed and springs/spacers replaced. The rear shock needs to be removed and disassembled in order to put in a lowering spacer. It also comes with a new side stand to work with the now lower height of the bike. It's quite involved and quite expensive IMO for only 22mm/.8 inches.
Great review Mario I am on my second 990 adventure and love them but I think it's time for a change how would you compare the norden to the 990 is it a big difference cheers
@2WR
2 жыл бұрын
There's some similarities in how they feel while riding them. Power hits a little different on the 890 engine, as it's a little less abrupt. I also think it's easier to ride the 890/901 a little lazier than the 990. I love my 990 but feel like you have to be more active while riding it.
J. Juan is owned in full by brembo
what is your height in centimeters? Regards
Like the 790, no hazard lights. Strange it’s still omitted, especially on a $14K bike. Also I’ve noticed the forks are probably the same as the 2018/19 Tiger 800 XC’s WP non-model specific forks. Not bad, just interesting that in 2020 and later Triumph went to Showa. Also makes sense suspension would be similar since this model is probably closest to the Tiger 900 in terms of use and market segment.
Curious: why is the rear wheel smaller than the front wheel?
@2WR
2 жыл бұрын
Several pages could be written but here’s the cliff notes. 1) this is standard dirt bike wheel size 2) the outside diameters (including the tires) are basically the same 3) 21” inch front is narrower/lighter allowing it to go over obstacles easier 4) 18” rear is wider since it has to handle more torque, also is responsible to getting power to ground/traction so with the taller side wall the tire to “squish” to hookup in the dirt.
Looks like a great bike but I think you're being too kind on the foot pegs. They look about the same size as on my 1290 SAR and if you have anything larger than say a size 8 boot they suck. Get Rally pegs. Another thing which has nothing to do about the bike itself is when I had my motorcycle dealership I also sold Husqvarna lawn and garden equipment and my dealer rep drilled into my head it's not pronounced Husk-a-varna it's it's Husk-varna. It's also like when I also sold Can-Am and Ski-Doo there's a proper way to pronounce Bombardier but honestly I'm not French Canadian so I don't even know how to write it out so that you could pronounce it correctly. Was looking forward to this review since it was your review that finalized my decision to buy my KTM. Thanks.

For road use they’re fine and better than some other manufacturers stock offerings. That said, I would upgrade them. I’m doing my best to pronounce it properly but my WV accent will only allow so much.
Heat from under the seat??
