2022 Honda Accord Sport 2.0T Review: The Everyman Sports Sedan
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
All you have to do is broaden your horizons a touch and, yes, this Honda Accord Sport 2.0T does indeed behave like a sport sedan. No, it’s not rear- or even all-wheel-drive. And, no, peak horsepower doesn’t start with at least a three. But in terms of feel and engagement and enjoyment, the Accord Sport 2.0T plays and plays well.
In this video, I take you through the car, show you what features are offered and how they work. And then I take you on a drive to get a sense of how well it handles, the quality of the ride, and the overall experience.

Enjoyed your review. I opted for the hybrid as my slide into the battery era and my 2nd Honda, (had a Prelude in the 80s.) Honda's done well integrating battery power into this car. I'm hoping the 2023 Hybrid they are spouting (and targeting as the Accord to buy) steps it up even more. The electric feel of this drive is really a great experience.
Had a chance to do a test drive. It's very quick. Very nice car overall.
I have a 2018 Honda 2.0 Touring sedan and it's one of the best vehicles I ever owned. This is my 3rd Accord I've owned and so far my favorite. The power and handling are great and the fuel economy is decent too. It's in black and the car looks fantastic when cleaned and many people not familiar with cars too much, can't believe it's a Honda.

Thanks for the post. I am planning to pickup a 2021-2022 Accord 10th gen 2.0t touring here soon. I have owned two different generations of Accords over the past 20+ years. And I was hesitant till recently to buy the Accord again. Not because I didn't like it but because I didn't know if I was missing out on what other manufactures were producing. But after many reviews and diving through specs, the 10th gen 2.0t Accord has checked pretty much all the boxes for my next car.

I have this exact same car. I absolutely love it! It's really quick when I need it to be and handles great! I'm in my 50's and I had my 25 year old son with me a few weeks ago and I scared the shit out of him!!!!!! Knew of some curvy roads in our area!!!! I haven't had the car all that long and am still trying to figure out the best mode for fuel economy, but so far with interstate driving, Econ mode is not that great. I get better mileage in regular or sport mode. I'm also disappointed in the fact that when I hit 124mph you can actually feel the computer shut the car down. I don't normally drive that fast but I like to know what my car is capable of. I'm sure that I can have it tuned, but I don't want to mess with the warranty!!!
@viewsonvehicles
Жыл бұрын
I always love reading an owners perspective. Thank you for that! Yeah, 124 mph is 200 kph, and an electronic limiter at that speed is not uncommon. Do you happen to know what engine rpms you saw at that speed? True top speed would either be drag limited or engine rev limited. With the correct gearing, I bet you have enough power to go 150 mph. Most of the tires that come on Accord are V rated, which means they can safely sustain 149 mph.

@viewsonvehicles

Thank you! Compared to the Civic Touring? The Accord has a better interior, but only just. The Civic has better driving dynamics. After all, it's lighter and the front-end is just a smidge sharper. Overall noise and refinement, however, is still Accord. You get a bit more to dampen the cacophony of the outside world. My personal choice is Civic. @viewsonvehicles

It depends a bit on what you mean by good and how you'd primarily use it. The 2.0-liter drives really well and supplies more power. That said, the electric motor does a lot to make the hybrid very drivable, with good throttle response even at low speeds. So, around town, it is the best Accord engine offered. And, yes, better than the 1.5-liter, comfortably so. If it's at all helpful, I did also review a Hybrid Accord Touring, link is here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/q5V8qtZyoqzKkto.html

I would like to see the owner's manual of the 2023 Honda Accord before I decide to purchase one. To see how often the synthetic oil is recommrnded to be changed on a turbo charged engine. I have heard that synthetic oil should be changed every 5K miles to properly maintain the life of the turbo. I have also heard from aftermarket installers that turbochargers will last ~150K miles. Hondas are very well built cars. I heard from aftermarket installers that most turbochargers last ~150K miles. So if that is true and Honda Accord turbos need to be replaced around then, then wouldn't it cost the owner approximately $2.5K to replace it? I know that Mini Coopers with turbos require major $$$ service around 150K miles. Thnx. $2,000 Turbo replacement $ 500 Labor ------------------ $2,500 additional service cost for the turbo.

Depends on your driving a bit. If you mostly commute on the interstate, it's not a huge difference, 35 mpg highway for the 1.5-liter Accord Sport, and 32 mpg for the 2.0-liter Accord Sport. But, city driving is a different story, 29 mpg in the city for the 1.5 verses 22 for the 2.0. That's due to the CVT as much as the engine. And these are the official EPA numbers, by the way. I hope that helps.
