Laura & Aaron, thank you so much for sharing your world with us. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching you daily, even rewatching videos just for inspiration for my own little green slice of Heaven! I also love the antiquing videos with your mom and sis. This has been a big year for your projects on your property. It’s been amazing to watch the progress! Again thank you for taking us on this journey with you! Happy New Year and see you in 2023! 🎉

CONTENT IDEA FOR JANUARY VIDEOS, while things are slow: individual videos could focus on particular areas of the original gardens & show that area's evolution, from the time you moved to this property until now. Similar to this video in which you featured the significant moments & results for this year. It will be fun to see how your ideas evolved for individual areas & learn which things worked & which didn't. We LOVE just looking again at the beautiful spaces, even if they don't still exist in their original form.

I rarely comment here but I wanted to tell you something in hopes that it warms your heart. Almost any time I start talking to a new person about gardening, they will bring up your channel and something you have taught them. Please know your videos have touched so many lives in so many ways over the years as ive experienced people saying this outside of your comment section. You deserve all the success and more for all of the effort you have put in over the years. Happy holidays!!!!

Laura, I will state this again lol. Don't sweat the "repetitive" things you show. Especially with plants. I am a visual learner as well. Along with repetition. I cannot stress enough as to just how helpful your videos have been. I've been following along with your journey since right before you moved into your current home. I will also replay many of your videos especially the ones that cover in detail several varieties of annuals, perennials, shrubs, evergreen etc. etc. When driving past someone's property, going through a garden center or driving along roadways, I can actually recognize various plants & trees and place a name to them. Which has been extremely helpful. So thanks so much for what you do. I pray 2023 brings tons of more projects & happiness to your family! Be Blessed & Continue To Be A Blessing To Others!

I know. We live by a river in our town. We decided to give a little of our land to the city for a bike/walking path to be put in. They took more than we thought they were going to take. The premise that we were told is that they were going to keep it maintained and keep the weeds down. Well, they might cut the weeds down once a year right next to the path, but they don’t take care of the hill leading to our property. I was maintaining it before we sold it. When I was younger and able, I planted some flowers, but as I got older, I couldn’t keep up with it. Now, I just sprinkle some of my flower seeds over there and some do come up. So be aware, you just can’t trust the city. They do what they want to do.

They are believing what one person told them. They don’t understand that the entire board of supervisors can vote on putting a road right through their property. The county doesn’t consider how you feel about it. I’ve seen it happen.

My 94 year old mother and I absolutely loved this posting today. It was out of the daily norm and we always love it when you show your shopping trips with your family members. Since Covid we rarely get out of the house and this is our way of traveling and shopping. Everything you show on these days is so informative and a shear pleasure to be taken along. Thank you so much for the different content from gardening info. We get our daily Gardening fix by watching you every day, you feed our souls. We still have an Angel wing Begonia that was my Grandmother’s and she passed in 1975. We have kept it growing for all of these years by giving away cuttings. We miss getting out and gardening and you have no idea how much pleasure that you bring us. And your shopping excursions are a pleasurable treat for us. Thank you for it all. Talking about going to the nail salon was icing on our cake, thank you.

I just want to say thank you for all you guys have shared with us this past year! I have learned so so much and that fully intend to put all of that knowledge to work developing the acre of land around our new home. You’ve influenced me into asking for a hoselink, power planters and cement drill for Christmas, all of which I was lucky enough to receive. I’ve also learned to love cement pieces and have officially started my collection with the most beautiful bench and bird bath. I can’t wait to add to it. You’ve showed me soo many plants that I’ve added and will add to the landscape. Aaron has taught me the importance and trees, and I’ve already started collecting some nice sized ones that are currently tucked in for the winter that will be planted out first thing early this spring. Yes big trees! You’ve taught me elements of garden design and hard scape that I never knew before, you’ve taught me about cut flower gardens and vegetable gardens. I now know more about food storage and the importance of a delicious butternut pasta dish. I now know how precious family time is and how important it is to spend days out shopping or spending time with the ones you love. I’ve learned to romance the ordinary and put all I have into making things feel festive and special. Your channel is truly more than just a garden channel, it’s a place to come when you want to feel inspired, appreciated and like you’re part of a community. Looking back at 2022 I can honestly say that I did not miss one single episode of garden answer, you’ve become my daily decompress after a long day of work and have brought me so much joy. Thank you again, and with so much love. Here is to an amazing 2023!!! ❤

I just discovered your channel this summer when I was looking for a tutorial on how to trim up my oak leaf hydrangea. I haven't missed a day since. I am a chaplain working the midnight shift at an inner city hospital and it's such a beautiful transition to come home every morning and watch a video that has nothing to do with what I may have struggled with overnight. It's the perfect way to wind down and get ready to sleep. On those days when there aren't new videos, I go back and watch one or two old ones. My favorite thing this year was the planting of the autumn blaze maples around the front lawn. I was literally in tears watching them all go in. Thanks for my daily mental health break and thanks to you and Aaron for so generously sharing your successes and your struggles with us. Happy New Year!

Laura and Aaron where do I begin this 12-30-2022 to describe the impact your talent has made on my life this year? I am a full time caretaker for my disabled husband going on year 5 we are just 63 still pretty young for such a big life change he has progressive multiple sclerosis. I’ve always been a gardener but in the past 2 years with your influence I have grown tremendously in knowledge and garden space. I’ve stood back at times amongst the paths and even amazed myself at what I’ve achieved this year alone. Everyone stops and admires! Next season I’m completing my English roses area, adding more fall and winter interest with more shrubs and grasses and also a few more statues. How exciting it will be! You guys and my gardens have brought such joy into my life during my time as a caretaker which is such a very hard job. I’ve at times on the most difficult days sought out the gardens to sooth my weary soul and replenish my spirit. I can’t imagine how I’d get through these days without Garden Answer and the inspiration and support it provides to me, thank you so very very much❤️

With how professional and informative your channel is I'm shocked that at the end of 2022 you are sitting at 1.66M subscribers. You guys deserve to have 4 times as much. Thank you for everything you have done over the years, you have taken me from someone who would kill a cactus to someone who now grows my own veg and flowers for my 3 year old daughter to cut for the house. Have a fantastic new year and here's to 2023 xx

You are wise to purchase the ground around you when it becomes available. Many years ago we only bought a couple acres next to our farm that our pivot sprinkler irrigated. We should have purchased the entire acreage because houses were built right near the property line and the water shoots over there on a windy day...which as you know, we have lots of windy days in Eastern Oregon and Western Idaho. You certainly don't want a roadway going through your property either.

what a great year! the drone shots were fabulous; i had to stop the video and just stare at all the changes y'all made this year... uhhhhmazing! and generally, altho we may not have been aware, most of it seemed to go "as planned", meaning no unexpected pitfalls in the project itself (just getting supplies and crew to get started, lol)... the trees, the forethought with infrastructure (way to go, Aaron!!), wow wow wow... and this is why y'all make such a good team and are accomplishing so much... and yes, those bittersweet memories with the kids: i was watching Samantha help Laura with the tree undecorating: wow, she has really grown up... both of them are just beautiful.. thank you so much for sharing your family and dreams and successes and even fails with us.. here's to a fabulous 2023!!! Happy New Year and a big Happy Birthday to your dad!! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤

That was so well said. Thank you. It brought back memories of people coming to visit (country girl and that's what country folk used to do for entertainment in the last century!) and Mother showing the way to her gardens, both flower and vegetable, visiting along the way and sharing cuttings and growing advice. A beautiful, peaceful memory.

Happy New Year. I hope you know how much you fill our lives. Laura you remind me of myself. I am experiencing my first winter of retirement after 44 years of working. I have always been that person who had to be busy.. My body is appreciating me retiring but still feel I need a project everyday. I'm teaching myself that its ok to just sit and read a book. You both should be so proud of all you have accomplished this year. Love seeing your children grow. Nothing but the best for you in the new year. Thank You.

I think it would be really beautiful if you planted like a REALLY big-growing oak in the middle of the lawn where you have the autumn blazes, for you and the kids to sit under and have picnics in the grass! And it could get really huge and old over the years and grow with you guys 🥰
