@@KirkKreifels Geniune leather requires quality maintenance and understanding it is a natural material. Just clean it regularly, use some leather balm here and there, or even better - put a professional protective coating on it every year. like artdeshine leather and plastic coating. Although it is not "alive anymore" it requires taking care of - similar to your skin. Imagine you never washed for years and let your skin bake in hot sun and UV for hours - same thing. I've been driving leather interior cars for 25 years - never had any cracks, peeling, discoloration or whatever - but some people don't understand how leather works (dealerships don't know either so they don't know what to tell the customers) - so they have problems. I tried tons of synthetic leather interiors, from BMW, Mercedes, Lexus - for me - nothing beats the feeling of leather, let alone nappa leather.

After driving the Acura & Lexus the g70 is definitely the better car. It feels solid and definitely more fun to drive and It doesn't feel like an old car . Being able to use the buttons/infotainment system is so much more easier to use while reacting much quicker then the Lexus & Acura. I helped a friend buy a car and not state my opinion on the three as she was picking out of the 3 and she went for the g70 over all and she never regrets it coming from a 3 series also. Even Doug DeMuro says it feels better handling than the BMW M340i 😂🥱 Probably cause you didn't push the car to see how the chassis really shines under hard cornering under pressure.. You put these cars on the road course track the Type-S and IS350 will not survive after a few laps due to twisting (inferior chassis torsional rigidity). One of the reviewers said the G70 feels like that the chassis is so solid that it feels like it was carved out of a stone in one piece. The steering is stellar too. It got the lapt time of 1:53.89 at Inje Speedium race circuit, 0.03 sec slower than the F80 M3, and nearly 5 seconds faster than the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport.

I thought I was imagining the brake issues that you cited as well as the road feel. High speed highway driving makes me a little anxious which is something I've not experienced before in all my years of driving.. The car is so pretty, however, that I can't part with it. I'm constantly approached in parking lots regarding its good looks that feature the Siberian Ice paint job and black out alloys and trim. I love the jewel-like grille and the normal headlamps. I am NOT a fan of the Superman grille and split headlamps. I am quite okay with the boomerang side vents. This style of vents has been used in some BMW models. The rear end of the 2022 G70 is, IMHO, butt-ugly (pun intended). I agree with you...the fish-scale aluminum pattern does not appeal to me. It's a level above any Japanese competition, basically as any Genesis so far, especially in tech, even though this one is just a refresh. The downer for me is that there's no actual manual mode, but that's not critical. I do like an older and more physical cabin design and wish they added a rotary dial for infotainment, so you don't have to reach to the screen which distracts you more. So I'm in between RWD Stinger gt1, G70 AWD with no options or adding 8k for maxed out G70 RWD.

I see the snowbirds are back…… The problem with Hyundai and Kia is that at the end of the day, it’s still a Hyundai. People know. In Naples, they definitely know and think poseur. Brand snobbery does exist. They know on Pine Ridge Road…..
