Hey Ryan, I really like the looks of the new Bronco. But I REALLY miss the 96 and older. My step brother bought a Bronco new in 79. He still drives it. It has a 302 V8 with a 4spd std transmission. It’s yellow and white with tan interior. A few years ago he had a frame off remodel. It’s a honey of a Bronco. I had a 96 with the 4.9 liter straight 6. I needed a lot of low end torque to tackle the terrain that I needed it for. It’s too bad Ford won’t bring back the 300+ K mile Inline 6. They didn’t have much hp, but a Ton of low end torque. I’d put mine in “granny low” and it would go anywhere. Anyhow, another Great review. Thanks !

@@Davido50 I would but my situation has changed since then. My wife has an Outback and I have my Rav. Our pickup is a 11 Ford Ranger XLT super cab 4X4 that we use for work around our property. It only has 34K miles on it. It has the 4.0 V6. I’ve added a K&N intake and a 3 inch Flowmaster exhaust, air shocks so we can haul heavier loads. It’s our 4th Ranger. They’re good little pickups. We had a F150 reg cab long bed, but it wasn’t a 4X4, so we sold it when it hit 250K miles.

I agree however he notes that this is a loaner from a dealership and if you put yourself in his shoes would you want to be liable for a $75,000 vehicle? I’m sure there are bigger channels on KZread that can afford that liability and those channels can either buy the vehicle or can afford the risk in showing how it truly performs off road. At least that’s how I’m interpreting the direction they went with this video. Correct me if I’m wrong.

You could probably do that whole course in 2WD without any fancy gadgets....you should take the Bronco back up there and try it if you still have it. You mentioned wind noise on the highway, yeah my 88 Bronco 2 has that too LOL...nice to know a new Bronco that costs a lot more than my Bronco 2 isn't any better LOL. I'm running the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S tires on it, they do fine and they are severe snow rated. Problem is trying to find stock size all terrain tires is pretty difficult, I had to go up to 235/75-R15's to get the Coopers...the stock size 205/75-R15's don't offer anything other than street tires, no thanks...I do some back country roads occasionally, and snow/mud issues in the winter so, street tires aren't going to cut it.

I was very shocked one day with the destination when I slammed on the brakes down hill in the wet. It slid WAY more than I thought it would. Cooper's are great if it rains a lot where you live (I live in Alabama). Right now, with the size upgrade and the change to Coopers it is VERY VERY difficult to lose traction. Those fender flares look much better on a Black Braptor. It smooths the whole look out a bit so the flares are not as noticeable.

Totally agree. The black fenders with the bright colors just looks so weird and out of place. I have a built up blacked out 4runner so that’s this black bronco is my cup of tea. Looks so good in black.

I see a lot of people doing this - and Ryan is doing it too - when you have a button to start your engine, you don't need to press and hold it for 1-2 seconds: it is a button, one quick press and that's it. Holding it down is like turning the key and holding it it but you don't need to do that. Oh and I want a Braptor! Great video!

What’s unfortunate is older dodges and fords up to present day only show their potential when the pedal hits the floor. Allowing them to go much farther than the competition. But I understand why you can’t do that.

19:31. You don’t need 4 LO for that hill. I’m fact I’d say a Subaru Outback could go up that. Using 4 LO doesn’t do it any justice, in fact it diminishes it.

Dude new Gen Ranger rides on excellent T6 frame that also underpins the Bronco! Stout. New Ranger has 5 -GOAT modes when get FX4 option. Where Ranger is best in class is dynamic proven Gen2 - 2.3L TGDI motor & 10spd tranny. Smooth & very quick! I own '20 Ranger XLT FX4. Just ordered new Bronco Raptor. Not selling my Ranger tho!

This is interesting. Maybe Ford should make a body as wide as the wheels. Would make a great overlander.

A plus side to a wider stance without the body being wider is less chance for body damage when off road! Fender flares will fend off potential hits to the body!
