I bought a 2019 Custom Trail Boss (Double Cab with 5.3 V8) new in 2019. MSRP was $43,500. I got $6k off (because Covid and the chip shortage hadn't happened). So I got it for $37,500. It's an amazing truck at that price. So happy with it. But the same truck for $50k-$55k, it's a stretch.

I actually like having the older interior as an option. I’m Interested in purchasing this truck for this reason. I like the fact that it still has the council shifter and center seat for an extra passenger. I would say good job Chevy for offering this!

I have a pre-refreshed 2022 custom TB with the 6.2. I couldn't imagine having anything but the 6.2 and 10 speed tran. Truck rides really good down my rough country roads, gets 18 mpg average.

Easily the best take on the refreshed Custom TB. Thanks for the video. Hope you guys revisit the CTB again but with the 2.7.

2019-2021 custom grill was a lot nicer. They also could have refreshed they interior. It didn’t have to be as nice as the higher trims but it still could have been done. Maybe a column shifter with a smaller screen.

Last model had standard led taillights. Also, v8 mpg went down due to no cyl deactivation

Yes, it’s actually a pretty expensive deal because it’s not just a matter of plugging in LED’s like you do at home. The housing/bucket is vastly different internally. The CPU has to have a stand-alone power management board just for the led lighting. With OEM manufacturing you can’t just have one of those cheesy aftermarket remote mounted ballasts (fire hazard) that get ridiculously hot. You also have the cost of having the Feds testing done. Then there’s the auto hi-beam which is mandatory for LED’s above a certain lumen to prevent blinding oncoming drivers There’s a lot more to it than meets the eye. Hi-Tech is never low buck.

@@wrzl1675 This is a $50k vehicle, surely the cost of a LED upgrade would be included in the price. My wife has a Nissan Kicks, paid about 20 grand for it. Came with LED headlights

I prefer the older interior, it's a truck, there does not need to be any luxury. I'm just happy the custom TB still has V8 power. Thanks for sharing.

I like the 2023 Chevy Silverado it’s very nice, I love the blue, I don’t like the interior, I love the all electric Chevy Silverado

I bought 2021 chevy trailboss for 48k 5.3l is very nice and comfortable.. stop one day to the dealership and see same truck less price why??? I check the engine size chevrolet make 4 cylinder turbo WTF.... more cheaper lol... no thank you I keep my v8 5.3ls chevy silverado... 4 cylinders is trash

Went to price one out last week. 2023 Custom Trail Boss for $65,890 CAD before fees and taxes. Plus I have to pay luxury tax (3%) because this truck is over $57,000 CAD A Honda CR-V fully loaded is in the luxury tax thereshold (1%). I walked back out and got into my 2003 Yukon.

Having been in the truck market over a month now I can tell you here in Tennessee add 3000 to 4000 dollars above the number he shows for each model at least dealers in middle Tennessee luckily I don't have to buy right now

A basic and standard truck for $53k, unbelievable. This is a joke to see trucks get this expensive.

To bad the Custom Trail Boss doesn’t get the 6.2 anymore.

Interior looks like it’s from the 90s ! It looks so dated and cheap especially for a 50 grand truck. Way to go Chevy…keep sticking it to your buyers !

Price in can dollar?

Gotta say the Silverado is one of my least favorite trucks but the videos are awesome

I have been a chevy guy all my life and now I have a 2016 z71 pos with bad lifters. truck is now parked and needs major engine repaires . chevy has went downhill since 2008 never again for me

Luxury market prices on mass market trucks. Such a shame. Middle class/middle income folk bear the tax burden, everybody knows this. The same keep this country running. "Mass market" vehicles are for that market. Or at least, they used to be.
