I've owned motorcycles since 1964, but a few years ago I had to go to a trike (still a motorcycle, just has one extra wheel. My wife always rides with me and she has battled cancer eight times, maxed out on chemo, radiation and cyber knife treatments, had 12 surguries in ten years and is currently on immonothearpy treatments and will be every 28 days for the rest of her life. We usually run 15,000 miles a year, but this year were are down to 10.000 miles due to even more health issues. We are on our second HD Tri-Glide. Our son has also rode motocycles since he was a teen, but he had a stroke five years ago and could no longer clutch or shift a regular motorcycle or ATV. I sold his motocycle last year and we wanted to help him enjoy life since the stroke has lefted him crippled on his left side. We chose a Can Am Ryker. I drove it home on an evening when it was 52 degree and in and out of rain showers. But I still had a blast. The ryker was pure fun to ride on my 100 mile drive home even in cold weather and rain. And I am almost 70 years old. Such fun might even be illegal. The ryker steered much easier than my Harley, especially on a two lane curvey road. Plenty of power for leagal speed limits. I ran between 60 and 70 mph most of the way. I enjoyed it so much I could see me owneing one after I put some more miles on my current ride. I would have to add a passenger seat,but that's doable. You can tell, I'm sold on the Ryker. If you want a fun ride... but one!

@@crematedable We bought a 600cc Ryker for our son who had a stroke. I sold our HD trike last Fall and currently I am bikeless for the first time in decades.
Have had mine since end of April 2022, have put 7,200 miles on it so far. You are right on it love mine. Just did it because arthritis and a broken back 4yrs ago sent me to the ryker no regrets, live in USA newhampshire

Great video I’m an F3 rider and my Wife just bought a Ryker. I’ve ridden 51 years and she’s just starting out but could not think of a better way for her to start

Great to hear Dan! Nothing better than sharing the open road and having a common passion. Safe travels and ride safe!
The 600 CC has a 2 cylinder engine, giving more of a "motorcycle" feel. The 900's are a bit faster, with the Rally 900 being a bit longer. Nice review.
Good video, my wife just got her 2023 Ryker Sport 2 months and two weeks ago and she has over 4,000 miles so far. She loves it and has no real complaints, we have done some significant mods like floor boards, Highway pegs and Lamonster links on the sway bar. Like you she really enjoys it and has no problem keeping up with my 2022 F3 Spyder. We will keep checking back for more vids

Awesome Mike!! Pumped to hear that. Enjoy the new Ryker. Keep 3 wheels down 🤘🏽
I ride my Ryker on lots gravelly hilly roads in the foothills of the Rockies. It’s a bit blah on highways but an absolute blast on smaller side roads.

Nice to hear someone taking full advantage of pushing the Ryker on gravel roads! Ride safe 🤙🏽
Love my Ryker. I can say that after almost 20 years of owning a Harley. Wasn’t sure when I bought the 900 but pleasantly surprised. To confirm you Eco mode statement - you are correct. Gas stations can be far between where i ride so always stay in eco mode. Don’t need to switch it once in eco. I get 30% better mileage over standard mode. It suits my riding style just fine most of the time. Switch it out only on major highways.

Thanks for the clarification 👍🏼 Glad that you are enjoying life on 3 wheels!!
I absolutely love my Ryker 600 ! I had to go 600 as I am a new rider and my insurance would not cover a 900. I added a pedal commander and it is a world of difference ! It accelerates like a rocket ! Highly suggest Safe riding !

In the UK they are classed as tricycles (trikes) not motorbikes and can be driven on a normal car license. Helmets are not a legal requirement here for trikes but almost everyone wears a (usually a full-face) helmet.

I have the swaybar upgrade, I change the shocks to Elkas 3 & 4 in the back and the steering dampner and have the sockets also Ace 2021 900 , major issue Fuel pump and made a issue with transport canada as got stuck on the road and in a passing lane the engine did go dead, but I still like Yellow my ryker Alain

You’ve done some top end upgrades! Those Elka’s would smooth out the ride. 🤘🏽 Enjoy many miles with your Ryker, yellow!
I have the same , got it in 23 feb/march , have 12 k
Great review! Like you, my experience as been with two wheels. And I've recently moved to an area with very high and unpredictable winds. Recently, they were so bad, I had to pull over and stop. And my bike came very close to blowing over. Life was NOT good that day! Would the Ryker solve this problem? Also, I need to do some multi day trips of 600+ miles per day (sorry... maybe 1,000 kilometers) for three consecutive days, often maintaining 80+mph/130 kilometers for long periods. Is that reasonable to do on the Ryker, or do I need to spend $35,000 for something bigger? Thanks for posting!

The Ryker would definitely be more stable in the wind compared to 2 wheels. End-links will also help with stability, especially at speed. I’ve done some high mile days and some mods such as a comfort seat & windshield make a difference. Enjoy the ride 🤙🏽
I get handle bar shake when riding one handed not like a street bike at all owned mine now for 1 season wandering how to correct the shake thought end links would solve that’s why I’m asking
@canuckpowersports
2 ай бұрын
Give them a shot. It is a cheap mod that may fix the handlebar shake. Also, check your alignment. The front wheels may be fighting against one another.
I want to get a Ryker 600 should I get a 22 where I pay in six months my first note or should I wait and get a 23 and I get an extra year warranty and this year is right there seems like they have had trouble with my right
@canuckpowersports

I would suggest to get what you’ll know will be available. Having extra warranty is always a good piece of mind tho. Good luck with the purchase!
is there extreme heat problem on right leg ? great vid
@canuckpowersports
Жыл бұрын
Most of my riding is rural and at speed, so I don’t find any issues with heat. If in stop & go traffic it may be more of an issue. Sorry I’m not able to help out with your question but maybe someone else can chime in…
Does the end links takes the wobble out of the handle bars
@canuckpowersports
2 ай бұрын
The end links take away most of the side to side sway. Stiffens up the handling in the curves a bit too
Is there a bug catcher screen on your bug catcher, a.k.a. the radiator? If not, you should install one. As low as the Ryker sets and as big as the radiator is, a rock, or nuts and bolts falling from the Ford truck your following may puncture the radiator. My 2022 Ryker Rally came with a bug catcher screen and a front small game collector. I carry a can of Sterno in my Ryker so I can cook the small game along side of the road and season it with the bugs I collected on the bug catcher. You know, June bugs taste like pepper. Horse flies taste like shit. I wonder why?
@canuckpowersports
6 ай бұрын
Definitely a good idea to protect that radiator. I’m more of a squirrel kabob kinda guy but always nice to have a roadside snack if gas station hotdogs aren’t on the menu. Keep er real and ride safe 🤙🏽
It is funny how at the beginning of your ride it look like you were chasing a Beachball down the road
I would say the CVT would be the weak link if attempting a large boost in power !!!
@canuckpowersports
Жыл бұрын
Yes it is for sure limiting. They run turbos on snowmobiles with CVT’s and can put huge boost to some models. Just depends on how deep your pockets are to reach big numbers on the dyno 🤙🏽
The reason you're having a problem with the frunk, the bike needs to be on for it to be opened.

Id put 7500 kms on 1 in 3 days,,, its crazy that no has logged on 200 or 300.000 miles on one... They must not be that good if no one has logged on mileage past the 300 k beyond mark...

7500km in 3 days 😳 That’s 2 IBA bun burners and a saddle sore, back to back to back. That would be some impressive riding!!
Do I need a motorcycle license for this bike. I live in Illinois.

I’m not too sure as I don’t reside in Illinois. Best bet would be to check with your local licensing office. Sorry I wasn’t any help on this one

CVT transmissions aren’t the most efficient unfortunately. A gearbox would definitely help mpg.
