Hi Tedward, I just wanted to say thank you for all the videos. I started learning to drive (UK) a few months ago and passed a few weeks ago. Initially I didn't know anything at all about cars/how they work or have any interest. Thanks to your videos/personality along with some others to develop my technical understanding more (although I still do struggle) I'm now much more interested in cars. I started to enjoy driving which is why I passed. Although I can't afford to start driving at the moment (2nd hand car prices are crazy), your videos keep me excited for when I eventually might! Keep up the great work and take it easy 👍🤗.

@@user-ir4ze3hx9d I was thinking of buying a Ford fiesta I found with good mileage and condition, but it's an 07 plate. I was wondering what your opinion might be on getting an older car like that? Any older are really far out of my current savings as I've been supporting my grandparent's. Thanks if you have any advice and I hope you enjoy driving and stay safe

I’ve got one of these. It’s a 2021 model with a lot of accessories. It’s a White A-Spec with the SH-AWD Package, Red Interior, Step Rails, Cross Bars, bunch of cargo accessories for the trunk, floor mats with the A-Spec logo on them and a bunch of other accessories on it. Just did a 2,000 mile road trip from California to Illinois and the car did great. It has a respectable amount of power considering it’s an SUV with only a 4 cylinder. It’s a great car, only complaint is the tiny gas tank and terrible gas mileage. I love the SH-AWD, experiencing it first hand and just feeling how responsive and how good it takes corners is amazing. If anyone watching this is in the market for a fun, sporty, practical SUV and is willing to put some good money into it (you’ll be looking at about 45-50k if you want the A-Spec) I’d definitely recommend the RDX. It’s a great car, just know you will be filling it up a lot. The gas mileage tbh is embarrassing to say the least. It’s got a pretty small tank because these days it’s all about the weight. You will usually get about 350 miles out of each full tank and especially with the SH-AWD you get pretty disappointing gas mileage as all wheel drive means more power being sent to each wheel. I also had a front wheel drive RDX A-Spec before my current SHAWD A-Spec and the FWD one still was disappointing with gas but did not go through gas as fast as the all wheel drive car. But honestly, besides the gas, it really is a great car and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun to drive SUV.

I drive a 2023 RDX Advance and loving it. I especially find that generally using the heads up control as a virtual hood guid aides me in better positive steering keeping my entire car in the middle of my lane so that my lane warning system seldom comes on. The back up camera is priceless. Cheers

Thanks for making this video at night, you can't test drive cars at night or see them unless you sale person is willing to be there after hours. I drove a Mazda this past week and I really liked it, the headlights were amazing, and at night it's awesome with really good sound. But it's still a Mazda at the end of the day. I have been cross shopping this, X3 M340i, or macan and it's really hard to figure a balance. Acuras are just amazing daily drivers and you can give them hell and they will still love you, but not sure on bmw or Porsche.

Like one of the previous commenters, I didn't know a lot about cars but these POV drives are always so interesting to me and I'm not sure why lol. Keep up the good work. Now I'm looking for a car of my own. Hoping to find something modernish under 20k if I'm lucky but I know I'm likely gonna be settling for something more around the 12k range 😂

Definitely looking at different cars now. Looking at the BMW X5 xdrive40i for it's mpg. The X3 m40i get insane mpg as well. Acura RDX mpg isn't too good compared to it's competitors, but the Germans are much more expensive.

I think what you find is that with android/apple carplay, that turns on and you're almost never using the screen anyway. This is my experience with a lesser honda with the touchscreen. I really cant even think of when I use the touchscreen at all. I think maybe when I messed with options, or maintenance minder stuff. I think the touchpad would be fine in that context.
