Finally, somebody talks about other things than PLAID acceleration. I am really glad you mentioned the steering wheel feel and many other things that others don't talk about. How about noise levels in comparison to other Tesla cars?

This is the best review of the Plaid I’ve seen and I’ve seen them all. Only you and Marques have given useful, honest, non-fanboyish feedback about the yoke. That actually reassures me that I can live with it when I eventually get the Plaid.

Wow. Looks amazing. Want a tip George? Go have your car get a professional ceramic coating. That paint will pop. You will have the only tesla with that much shine. Not only that, your cleaning and car washing will be a breeze. Water will bead and sheet right off the car. It'll be cool. Good video.

When you are trying to locate left and right indicator locations - slide your thumb along the raised ridge first - then move thumb up for right or down for left.

Id forgo the $4500 wheel upgrade and buy after market which looks better and LIGHTER so you get better range. $160k....basically price of a Taycan Turbo but better performance however looks inside and out plus quality and interior ...IDK. I think the best Model S will be the long range which is basically same car and still does 0-60 in 3 seconds which is ridiculous for under $100k.

I was going Lambo until I figured out there really isn't many places I could drive it without problems. I went Jag F convertible and I'm extremely happy, especially listening to that crackling exhaust. 🎶🎶🎶

@@sa34w its not about the juice, Its about the Prestige that is the badge. The sound, The exclusivity of the car. Telsa lacks all of that. I would still get EV but not Tesla. EQS, Polestar 2 because there is history behind the brands. Here in Stockholm alot of taxis got Telsas and they all got screwed over because of its reliability and lack of service.

Perhaps I’m in the minority wanting to see a completely redesigned model s, exterior wise. It looks a bit dated. That said, the new interior of the model S has a very futuristic look ( I love it).

I don't know why but the steering wheel just look soo good compared to the old round ones like any other cars may feel a bit wierd the first time but jeez i love it

Fix the streaming channel by switching to terrestrial radio and then back. I think it sometimes hangs when going from WiFi to 5g and switching resets the connection.

Streaming radio has been giving loading errors on my MY recently as well George

i need your advice. Plaid vs Model Y performance as daily driver. need to put golf clubs in trunk. I think 1 set fits in either. I only drive about 60 miles a day. Like fast but worth that much extra money?

The Plaid works great as a daily driver. The base price is now $89,990 with round steering wheel, 19 inch rims, black interior and any exterior color. I actually generally prefer driving it than my other cars. My other cars include a 2007 ZO6 Corvette, and my 52 Chevy hot rod I purchased with my paper route money in 1962 and my 427 Cobra I purchased in 1968. They all sound better and are fun to drive but I enjoy driving the tesla overall. I'm 79 and have to say the Cobra was great as my daily driver when I was in my 20s but now only for short drives. I'm 6'6" and the Corvette is actually the most comfortable for me and I would probably prefer to drive ot if it had adaptive cruise control.

Thank you for not getting the white interior. It seems every reviewer of Tesla's has the white and it does look cool, but I prefer the black. Also, that blue is beautiful and it's what I would also choose.

update, we love your show & spacex. we just got our S dual motor fsd while the tri/4? motor fsd cybertruck gets here. i'm all in TSLA & i love all Elon Musk does & will keep doing..we've drove from California to Boca Chica to see the Star Ship & it was so awesome to see it getting built in person!! we have LOTS of SOLAR & backup battery system to charge them both

My only issue is the steering wheel. If you loose control very hard to regain control with that steering wheel .

9:59 many people race plaids and go 9.2 and nobody kicked them. Especially with plaid it has incredible chassis so it doesn't need cage.

Does driving in plaid lower the range?

I've asked this before but am looking for a few more responses. Has anyone driven both a Plaid and a Taycan Turbo? If so, how does the handling (turn in, sterring feedback, etc,) compare. I find the Taycan is vastly superior to the Model S Long range and was wondering if the Plaid was significantly better.

You say the price is drawback, but you also compare it to 3 milion dollar limited prodcution supercars, in my opinion is pretty cheap when compared to other supercars that don even get the same perfomance.

The model S plaid just got a time of 1.28 on Laguna seca, making the second fastest production car ever made, faster than every Ferrari and Lamborghini and we are talking about a 2 ton family sedan, yup performance doesn't mean straight line, that's is why the model S plaid is still really fast on the track.

I wanna see this survive the midwest winter haha.

Had one two winters in Nebraska, does better than ice! Also heating is instantaneous, no waiting 10 minutes for your engine to warm up.

Squeeze your abs when you slam the throttle. That will help you with the headaches. Build up your core.

Loving the BLUE

The yoke is fine. Just stick two fingers in the spoke of the wheel and you can bake super-fast turns. What's so difficult about that?

I was against the yoke until I did a test drive. Then I thought it was not bad. Maybe I'll get it on my S Plaid.

Each of those Michelin Super Sport tires will run you well over $500. I need to replace mine about 20,000 miles. Once you have adaptive air suspension that remembers where you have set them, it’s hard to go back to regular suspension setup. I have heard that these adaptive air suspension lasts a very long time, but will cost you $8,000 to replace all four air suspension. That’s a good trade off as $8,000 is not that much for having adaptive air suspension for 6-8 years plus.

Air suspension will last forever it's not a wear item especially with modern design and engineering. And tires will last 50.000-60.000 miles they have 30.000 mile warranty. Plaid tires have tweaked compound made for plaid so that could make them last even longer.

Gotta have a metric. I'm pretty sure the exterior speakers are loud enough. Or are you looking for ear damaging loud?

I guess the real Godzilla out there is the Rimac Nevera - I’m a bit surprised that there haven’t been any videos drag racing the two yet, but I’m sure they will come (and yes, I know that it costs 20X as much!)

Nevera is built to order, per customer preference. And only 150 is available.

if turn signals were a voice command - it wont matter what position the yoke is in -- just say .. right turn signal on

What’s going on with the door pillar? Looks completely misshapen.

Saying to your kids "if you don't stop fighting we're going to turning this car right around" is a lot more threatening when you can accelerate faster than a Bugatti

I would wrap or paint the chrome badges in the back to match the rims.

Another great benefit of a Tesla is you might as well wrap the steering wheel with barbed wire because you will never touch it as long as you own it.
