2021 Specialized Sirrus X 2.0 - $650

Спорт

2021 Specialized Sirrus X 2.0 - bigger tires (Specialized Pathfinder Sport 42c), great for paved roads or gravel, a slightly more upright riding position, a super intuitive one-by drivetrain, and plenty of mounts for racks and fenders. Lightweight A1 Alloy frame, clean internal cable routing, 1x8 wide range gearing, hydraulic disc brakes.

Just completed my first city ride on mine, including a long uphill climb. It was awesome: nimble, quick, and responsive. I got it to replace my Giant Cypress upright, which was too "comfortable" to be any fun. The rear derailleur (sp?) on this bike is not high-end but it works just fine for me. I basically agree with everything this review says, it's an accurate description of the bike.

But very pleased so far, handles gravel very well and quick enough and comfortable on the roads. ( Love the bike that much it sits on its stand indoors )

I was originally planning on buying an X 2.0, but couldn't find one locally. One day, I just happened to call a local bike shop to see if they got any bikes in, and they just happened to have two X 3.0's in stock, so I got a large matte black one and I love it. It is so smooth and fast on the trail, that I just might sell my Cannondale CAADX Tiagra!

I am 6.6 tall, do you think the xl size would be ok for me? I understand that it’s not going to be perfect for my size but I really like this bike. Secondly the 1 front gearing based on your experience is it enough? Or the 2x9 of the standard Sirius 2.0 is better? Keep up the good work!

Would you recommend this bike over the Trek FX 1 Disc for a first time bike buyer looking at both paved and unpaved trails? At $549 the FX 1 Disc is a cheaper bike than the Sirrius X 2.0 (which is $700 at my bike shop). Is there much the Sirrius brings to the table that justifies the price difference?

Man... I was looking at Trek's Dual sport / Verve but I think this is a much better value and also more versatile than the Trek's lineups. The 1x is the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). I need a good bike for going around town with the kids and wife... my MTB days and riding a road bike is impossible now in FL (too many insane drivers). I also want to take it to the canals where its' packed sand, so this looks like a great one!

I just switched from having a 3x shifter in the front on a Trek Dual Sport 2, to the 1x in a Sirrus X 2.0. I suppose it is a matter of preference and riding conditions, -- but I'm not missing the front shifter (nor the suspension in the fork). Specialized just feels more nimble, and the 42tooth in the rear compensates for lack of front derailleur just fine.
