2021 Opening weekend | Crested Butte Bike Park

Спорт

I spontaneously decided to drive 15 hours from California to Crested Butte for one day of riding. I met up with my two friends, Madison and Jarrod, for opening weekend at the bike park. This place is beautiful!!! Avery Trail was my favorite.

Your giggling while you ride is how I feel on the inside when I ride. Wish the business side of my brain would allow me to express my joy like you can. Keep up the fun content!

If your keyfob battery dies in the future, you can start the vehicle with putting the key right up to the pts button holding it against it so it can read the transponder chip in the key. The keyfob battery essentially amplifies the signal of the chip in the key when in the vehicle, but if that fails you can hold your key right on the pts switch to start it. Love your videos, keep it up!!!

The Crested area is MTB/ATV/dirt bike heaven. Of course, it’s also ski/snowboard/XC heaven as well. I was snow management there when younger. Glad you had fun!

Highly recommend van travel! (And definitely do it before kids and other commitments) My wife and I drove from Alberta Canada to SanDiego, then up the west coast over about 4 months in an old Chevy camper. Best experience ever! Then we found Whistler BC and stayed there for 2 years ha ha

Made the 7 hour drive from Salt Lake to Crested Butte for 4th of July weekend after seeing this video and it was more than worth the drive. The bike park was legit as was the rest of the Crested Butte experience. We also found some good trail riding along the Slate River. The Lower Loop trail is seriously beautiful! Thanks for the riding inspiration. (:

I love the Evolution Bike Park at CB! So fun! Great town, awesome bike park, also riding outside the park is magnificent! Pro tip...Go see the Marmots at Rocky Mountain Biological Lab. They have tours and it's a great half day trip. The trails in the bike park are all rated green, blue, black, and double black. The marmots even hang out on the rocks of some of the trails to watch bikers. Camp 4 Coffee is a great coffee spot downtown.

A van will get you to mountain bike trail heads much easier than an RV. I have done both fulltime. I now live in an RV and pull a jeep behind it so I can bring my mountain bike to trail heads. The RV is much more comfortable and house like, the home-built van was much more adventurous and affordable. I’m enjoying your videos.

Yeah, we used to have a fleet of Outbacks where we left the key in an armed car with one door unlocked so we had to trigger the alarm all the time by opening the door. No need to disconnect your battery. Just start the car and the alarm shuts off.

Wow, 15 hours for one day of riding... that's too much for me!! I could justify that for maybe three days but that's it. And with todays fuel prices, I'm even less willing... I get 8.5 mpg in my camper towing my trailer (at 65 mph). And it's insane that you have to have a working keyfob to operate your car. That's insane. I'm so done with modern vehicles. I'll keep my 2005 truck forever. Great video, looks like a fun ride! I want to ride but it's been windy as hell nonstop here for days on end. I'm SO tired of it.
