Sounds awesome. Gladly they're common where I live, so I get to hear 'em at WOT almost every day. Man, I'm a softy for that three-pot sound. Had an '02 Triumph Daytona 955i CE back in '08 and it sounded amazing. I just like the harmonic note of those engines so much. Reminds me of the flat six sound of vintage Porsche 911s.

I’ve been waiting to see this 09 on the dyno! I just ordered my 22 SP and cannot wait!

Great results...some 10-12% 'real world' hp/torque gains!!

This bike is all about torque and mid range. Mine (SP version) does 116bhp same woolich racing tune (sea level, 9 Celsius when tuned 60% humidity) DNA filter same exhaust. 180 kilos fully fuelled 169 empty fuel. It is ultra fast in the mountains. I doubt if any 1000cc can do better there. The SP version is a better bike due to Ohlins suspension. To set things straight, we are not better or more cleaver than Moor. It happens to tune the bike at optimal weather conditions with probably higher octane fuel. Tuners tricks 🤣🤣👍🇯🇵 Well done Moor! Yeah those triples are pretty nice. I test rode the last generation and fell in love. I think I'm getting too old for the hooligan bikes though lol. Bang for buck these are hard to beat and actually make way more sense on the street than your average racebike with lights.

Indeed! Have owned a couple of Speed Triples and they are awesome 'street bikes'. I've owned many motorcycles since the early'80s and one of my most favourite 'street' bikes was my lightly modified '93 Ducati Monster...barely 80 bHP, lots of very usable low/midrange grunt, FANTASTIC brakes, great suspension/handling/comfort. Kept that bike for almost 20 years....all the others, sold off after 2-3 years. 200 bHP for the track? LOVE it!! For the street? Not necessary, really.

I have a 2020 Yamaha Tracer 900GT, the same engine as the MT-09. With an Akrapovic exhaust and ECU flash it will probably do everything the MT-09 can on the street but a much more comfortable riding position and hard panniers for long trips.

@@kmpaton the new models are identical, you just pay almost 50% more for the tracer for electronic upgraded suspension, cruise control, windscreen and bags. The cost difference is very steep but I definitely see it being worth it for some.

Not a ton of power at 113hp, but lots of torque everywhere! And man, that sound! 🙄

Laugh if you will but I have this bike, same exhaust, competent flash and it is a blast! More respectable from 0 to about 120 than you might think. Unfortunately, akra is about the ONLY exhaust available for '21 and upcoming '22 cause of covid/backorder problems.

Did yall turn off the TCS assists before dyno. I see at 1:41 its in "1" mode for TCS which can actuallty be turned to off which will actually change the throttling it respnds so much better.

That's some HUGE gains there... I rode a buddy of mine's a few weeks ago, and it sounds like it's missing a cylinder when you ride it. Lol But it's a really cool and unique bike to ride and definitely an easy bike to be a Hoonigan on.

I'm seriously thinking about having you flash my MT 09 - SP - ECU. Do you have your profiles pre-programed for a one button process or do you have to walk through and tweak every single cell of the program on each one? Also, when you show the ECU program on your screen, is that just #1 rider mode map that you are looking at of the 4 different rider modes?? And then you have to tweak them all individually? Or do you just Add a 5th , totally unrestricted map to library,.....Or is there only one master to change and then the 4 rider modes all chip away at that using their own algorithms? I kind of want to understand what I'm doing to all of the factory pre-sets and if they will still be available should I ever want or need to access them in the future. Also, can you do this by just having the ECU sent or do you need the bike to verify the dyno results?

Have you done the BMW S1000XR and what were the results?

I'd be worried that the ram air effects on the intakes at speed out on the road would make it run lean.. does this gen3 09 use a wide band lambda?

does it matter where the aftermarket exhaust 02 sensor is placed?

I bet it rides harder, but the point of the 21+ is the predictable power not the on off throttle You can see on the graph how flat the oem curve is, compared to what the final result is

Did you take the cat off? That would certainly explain the extra power

Very late response, but yes, you can just tune one of the drive modes. The other ones will stay stock. You could even if you wanted for example make mode 4 (rain mode) your strongest mode

What wind screen is that? And tank grips? Those are nice.

I'd taken one on demo ride. As an '18 owner, the suspension and chassis difference is extremely improved, I could tell that even before leaving the parking lot.

The flash doesn't disable any of that. It just changes air fuel ratio.

I saw that too. I honestly believe with a shorter exhaust that it would be more substantial of a difference . The Akro adds a lot of length to the exhaust, possibly too much. Have to wonder too about that open airbox I've seen more than a few bikes tuned for bottom mid from factory that altering the air Intake area hurts them more than help. Be great see a reflash stock vs the different mods.

Euro 5 is mostly about emissions, so removing emission equipment will give more power, if that's what they did

That’s ridiculous power in a bike that weighs as much as a 600

this 1 mod , have an impact at your driving ? you know , 1 mod keep you on kind of train rails ?? ! Cause averybody said how playful is the Tracer 900 and Mt09 ,but when i ride it , i didnt find it playful at all . 110 hp at the wheel = ok. / respectable for a stock bike. Fully dyno-tuned (running not too lean / rich with much improved driveability), also depending if you drop the stock exhaust for an Akrapovic full system with / without the db-killer and the cat, you should see a gain of 7 - 13 hp (at the wheel) at the top end 😎🏁🏁

I know everyone wants peak Hp numbers The real story is midrange roll on torque Yes,peak numbers have their place But that’s not winning on the street
