It’s very thoughtful of the manufacturer to place the breakdown warning triangles in such a convenient position in the boot, so you can whip them out when they are needed. Somewhat like how older Jeep models used to have a light under the bonnet.

For urban use where the average speed is 50 to 70 km is perfect I'm a critic of the Chinese built cars but long term 1.4 na coupled with a old 4sp tc auto will be far more reliable long term than a 3cyl t with dct

I can speak from experience in one the gearbox is poorly tuned aswell as ratios do not help the already weak engine, it will rev out in 2nd gear and bog down in 3rd

Fuel economy seems high for a vehicle of this weight. Plenty of 2 litre 4cyl NA engines that would out perform this engine and be more fuel efficient... It must have something to do with emissions, must be very efficient at a certain load/speed. In the real world it'll have to run rich when on boost, which it will be a lot of the time unless cruising on a flat road which negates it's small displacement... Mazda seems to be one of the few brands that tries to make cars that are actually efficient in the real world and don't just try to weasel around emissions tests with small displacement turbo engines.

Then you're better off with a ZS EV. Its 0-100 is 8.4 sec but more importantly, thanks to instant torque of its electric motor it feels fast AND is heck a lot faster than any petrol ZSes in many real scenarios.

I only just stumbled across this video and I have to laugh at all the people bagging it’s performance, it’s a small family suv not a race car 😂 I went from a modified tuned wrx to this and I couldn’t be happier! A lot of you have no idea what you are talking about! If I can go from a 300kw atw car and find the zst a great drive then anyone who can’t is trying to put this car in a class that they shouldn’t be. And also a lot of people are all forgetting that this car is brand new for second hand suv prices and it doesn’t come with all the poverty pack features they do, it’s a really nice car to drive and for what it is it’s got plenty of punch.

But is is cheapo poverty. You're sitting in plastic seats, that stink, everything is covered in this strange vinyl material and all fixtures feel as though they're about to fall off. The reason you get less equipment with other brands is that they spent money on the suspension, brakes, engine and transmission. The only reason anyone would buy this car is because it's cheap.

Oh well, it's a good thing we've got a ZS EV. Not only it's better on 0 - 100 km/h but it's a lot faster in many real life scenarios like 0-30, 0-50 or 20-60 (yes I do mean from 20 km/h). Petrol versions require drivers to be in a right gear / optimal revs. You don't need to worry about that in the ZS EV thanks to its instant torque from the electric motor. The ZS EV always have power available regardless of any situations you can think off or even been through. You startle a WRX STI, EVO X or even a Tesla driver. So far the ZS EV is the only ZS that have balls.

You aren’t startling any performance cars with that ev champ 😂 stock evo x 0-100 time 5.3 seconds, mg zs ev 8.9 seconds. Not to even mention an evo or sti will take a corner at 4 times the speed your ev can. You are just talking out of your ass. This mg zst is 1 second slower than your ev and will go a lot further. You also can’t go anywhere on a trip that doesn’t have charging stations along the way and in this country right now that’s a hell of a lot of places. Your 1 second faster 0-100 time isn’t going to mean anything when a petrol car will make a trip 3 times faster than your ev while you sit around and wait for it to charge.
