I can only imagine how fast that center console and all the other bits of gloss black trim pieces get dirty and scratched
The brakes work very well too. LOL! Suspension is well controlled and reassuring at high speeds. Perfect limousine for the autobahn.

There is no obvious reason for buying the petrol V8. This diesel engine combines decent pulling power with remarkable fuel efficiency.

Well, an obvious reason would be keeping up with that M340i :-)

You don't always have to have the strongest engine, because there will always be a car that is faster. In this case it's about the right engine for a specific car. If I understand Martin Bauer correctly, for him it's about the combination of fuel efficiency and pulling power. Of course you can buy a faster S-class, but you don't always want that.

In my opinion this is the ideal engine for the S class -> The S400D 4MATIC Long. Enough power, good fuel economy etc.. Fuck the v8 petrol !
