You asked for this video, and here I bring it. The 2021 GLA redesigned for this year, and the first ever GLB come together for a comparison which you requested so let’s get started.

The GLA is fully redesigned for this year, as you can see from the video side by side with the older model, the difference is noticeable. Before we start comparing the GLB vs GLA, first what’s new with the GLA. Exterior has been redesigned, front end, rear end, the grill has one line across compare to older model:
Is more than 3.9 inches higher than its predecessor, but 0.6 inches shorter;
Offers more headroom at the front and considerably more legroom in the rear;
Is able to react in emergency situations when the driver doesn't with the standard Active Brake Assist system that can apply autonomous braking to avoid a collision or to reduce its severity;
Extends the functions of the Driver Assistance Package with the addition of, for example, the exit warning function alerting the driver to approaching cyclists or vehicles, and a warning when pedestrians are detected near crosswalks;;
4MATIC features the Off-Road Engineering Package as standard;
Includes MBUX infotainment system (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) as standard.

The only difference I could see was the dashboard on the passenger side. Ever so slightly different.
We have the GLB and have not regretted a day choosing it. We love it! What I love most about the GLB is the style/design...it's a model that is not afraid to look like a traditional SUV and foregoes the SUV coupe (oxymoron) trend. That alone was a home-run for us, and then the interior with its uber modern displays and luxurious feel sealed it. We're very pleased to say the least. 👍
Just joined the mercedes club with a glb 2023 fully packaged, was going to go for the glb 35 amg but the whole point of the car in mind wasnt to go fast anyways, and its the greatest vehicle ever. Ive been in bmws, lexus, alfa romeos. Nothing hit the soft spot like mercedes has in the past 4 years.
I like the GLA because it is a wide small SUV-light vehicle.

I bought the Mercedes GLB 250 with the AMG package and this was an excellent video about the SUV and Sam knocked it out completely out of the park! He definitely hit on all of the key points of why I liked the SUV, great job!

GLA 250 4matic... Honestly I only didn’t like the “Shift like a truck” on this car. But still, the best car I entered, drived and have it EVERYTHING and more. I love this car so much. The handling is so good.

@@Alainke Pretty good. A definite step up in class from the B250 - this is my 4th Benz. Drive is good, and 360 camera with the parking sensor make any type of parking a joke. The apple car play works great. I have the dual 7 inch dash - a great upgrade. I don't use the power much, but the turbo is very responsive when required. Just be careful when using the automatic lift back. If you are underground keep an eye on the height of the ceiling and any piping. I'm a tough critic, but I'd give the vehicle 8.5-9/10 over 3 months of use. I preferred the base grill's look, so I didn't opt for AMG styling. They also revamped the mercedes ME app. It works very well and I can lock, turn off, turn off my car from my phone as well.

I wish I seen this video earlier this year ..I ended up settling with a Audi Q3 and I HATE it . I am a new mom and needed to get rid of my 2018 GLC because i needed more space ..welp I'm here to tell you with the Q3 we can barley even fit a rear facing car seat .l Cant wait to get a GLB

Mine GLB is fantastic! I see in dealer the GLB and GLA, but the GLB is more better.....space, lines, size.....and the price is the same!

I have the 2018 GLA250 and I guessed it depends where you live and your age. Leasing makes the insurance a bit higher and of course your driving records. Overall a decent car🤷🏻♀️

MB have options double insulated side windows maybe GLB had it GLA not because such quitness difference 25% cannot be on more aerodynamic friendly GLA with $380 dollars MSRP difference between them

Just took both of these out for test drives with my girlfriend yesterday. I dunno if it’s the 2022 model for the GLA, but it was noticeably quieter, felt more nimble and quicker and while the look is more ‘feminine’, with the sport package I think it definitely looks better then the GLB. As a man that finds the G Wagon to be the best looking SUV because of the boxy shape, I was surprised how I didn’t care for the GLB. It just looks awkward to me.
You may need another microphone Sam, the LED circular light brightness can be improved too

The GLA looks better from the front, 2:40 the GLB looks slightly dated. Almost like a 2010 Glk350. I bet they will update it within the next year or two. Other than that, I like the GLB better in every way

By the way fantastic job and description of the vehicles. I am looking at getting a 2021 gla 35 from performance Mercedes St.Cathariens with quite a few options. But now the noise from ride, and pot holes, is scaring me its holding me back. Is a gla amg 35 smother than a250 that you had out fir the test drive .Thank you. Its only two of us, the odd time one or two of the grandkids ride along, but not often enough that's why I don't want to go to the bigger Glb. Thank you

@@SamCarLegion Hi Sam what i mean to say is the gla250 you mention its noisy when driving you can hear the road noise. Also you can feel the pot holes and road cracks is another thing you mentioned. My question is is the GLA 35 amg give you the same ride. I have added primium package and amg drivers package, technology package, intelligence drive. With these option correct this problem. Or is the gla 35 much better than gla250. Thank you

@@leyantucker9271 you can drive it for a while till you get to the closest mechanic to fix your tire or get a new one. I feel confused also, might be the technology nowdays... I always thought was so bad that every car don’t even get the Spare tire like an original one, just that thin ugly thing. But is funny, in the sheet when you have all the info about the car with the price it says 5 wheels but no spare for the GLA.

@@leyantucker9271 Mercedes-Benz vehicles are either equipped with run flat tires, a tire fit mobility kit, or a spare tire, A run flat tire is a tire that will provide you with a 50-mile driving range when the tire is punctured. A tire fit mobility kit consists of an air compressor with an attached hose and an integrated bottle of a thick, sticky sealant. This is particularly useful in countries where roadways are in good condition and have a extensive road assistance capability.
