2021 Lexus LX 570 in Desperate Need of Refresh | CAR MOM TOUR
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Today I take a look at the 2021 Lexus LX 570 and I have some thoughts... its not my favorite. I definitely hold this one to a higher standard due to the price tag. For a $95K vehicle I think it is lacking on a few fronts.
I do really like the drive and exterior but the interior and technology are a no for me.
What do you think!? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Let me know in the comments below!

The Lexus LX 570 is the most capable vehicle on the planet.
The lexus cost 90-100k for two reasons, durability and off road capability. It is not designed for unlimited interior storage, or carrying 8 in perfect comfort. It is designed to go almost anywhere and do it consistently for 25 years with minimal wear. It's why they hold their value so well compared to the competition.

Yep. She doesn't get/appreciate why it is designed the way it is. That said, this only makes sense when looking at it from a land cruiser perspective. In general the idea of the Lexus version is kind of weird.

Love mine with roasted caramel interior. Third row seats are useless and there is no storage with the third row down, screen is a really old design, and mpg is decent at 16-17 mpg, and mine is a Sport and was stickered at $107k (which is what I paid). I have already placed an order for the 2023 Range Rover Sport and will be selling or trading mine once my RR gets built. Can't go wrong with Lexus reliability (I am not getting rid of my RCF, and 2004 GS430) but if you value tech this vehicle is not it.

90-100k is not for that but just for the Lexus badge. As durability and offroad capability are also in land cruiser
59 seconds of this vid was all I could stomach ! This LX will forever reign supreme (like the others) in my opinion. Solid truck from front to rear. Maybe a GMC Yukon XL or Caddy Escalade will meet the needs of that stay at home, yoga pant wearing, Target shopping, wanna-be entitled soccer mom

This reviewer does give a good insight for the sad state of the car industry. Brand new Yukons needing engine replacements, Cadillacs leaking in the rain, KIAs and Hyundais blowing engines left and right. I have an Optima and I’m going through this issue right now. Unfortunately, tech is all the modern consumer cares about. She doesn’t even mention the drivetrain, mileage or anything mechanical about the cars she reviews. This is the type that’ll get the fancy Range and when it breaks in 2 years hubby will just get them a new one. 😂😂
Looks like you'll just have to stick with the suburban...don't let the trips to repair shop spoil the happiness of having more cupholders...

It's clearly not the vehicle for you... I'm always impressed by people that review a Lexus or a Land Cruiser 90% of them don't get it
When I first saw the analog clock in the intro it made me think of my grandparents’ old Lincoln Towncar like 15-20 years ago. My 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a touch screen. We also have the cup holders in the center back seat and it’s terrible for road trips when I sit between the kids. Love the diaper size comparison 😂 I will never be able to or want to spend this kind of money on a vehicle but it’s fun to see.
15 years from now, this car will be running perfectly. every other car in its class will be in the junk yard.

That's why we drive these overseas, because it doesn't break down and it can handle any Terrain. When replacement parts are expensive, you buy cars that don't break down. Getting replacement parts for a Mercedes and cost of Labor overseas is basically buying and do car verse having a Land Cruiser which isn't going to have a breakdown( overseas they just sell the Toyota Prado which is the Land Cruiser / LX)

the LandCruiser this is based on is built in a separate plant in Japan that only builds land cruisers the underpinnings are over built. This car may very well outlive its owner ..
Finally a car review for families and parents with real world examples. Looking forward to more reviews. I have an older Hyundai Santa Fe (2015) with three rows. My kids (two in car seats) still like to sit together so we use the bench seat but things are cramped. We need to upgrade so they can sit comfortably so your review was awesome as it describes what I’m going through.

Liked because you are one of the few that talks about the functionality of the third row seats, tailgates, and trunk spaces and how (hard) to operate them.
This is probably one of my favorites of your tours! Lol no holding back! 😂🤪
The specificity of the “if you’ve ever been shopping for a watermelon...” scenario was an element of a car review that I didn’t know I needed 😂 Another great video!

I own a 2011 Lexus RX 350 with 230,000 miles and it still runs great. They may not be the most high tech but super reliable and extremely comfortable and quiet ride. Would love to see some updates to the infotainment.
I will give it to you that yes it’s time for an actual full redesign not just a refresh. However although this vehicle may not have all the glitz and glamor of the Escalade or Range Rover it will out live them both and still be around running like brand new 10 years from now.
best review I´ve ever seen of this LX 570 by far!!. Fun and usefull at the same time...
This vehicle is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser which has already a base Msrp of $85k. This vehicle is a full body on Frame full time 4wheel drive and weighs more than 6,000 lbs. This is not a conventional crossover cute ute. This is for people who have tremendous cash and want the best. You mentioned several other vehicles like the palisade, bmwx7, Audi etc. to say these other names in the same sentence as the lx is blasphemous. This car is built to outlast your life. The people that know this, will continue to buy it.

@omjill if you haven’t already, go sit in one. Trust me, you’ll realize immediately why these things still sell. From the quality of materials used to the power plant. Lexus actually sends all these v8s used in the LX through a ct machine to make sure there’s no air bubbles during the casting process cutting down on the risk of failure in the future. LXs two decades old are still wallowing around suburban parking lots and they aren’t even at 1/3 their life cycle. You can get good cup holders or you can get one of the finest machines ever made (will ever be made). Some people pick the latter.

Can you do a review on Yukon xl or a suburban please? Loved your review of the Lexus. I knew it wouldn’t work for our family after your review.
This was on our list as an option where we'd be spending more than we really wanted but it looks like there are better big and safe SUVs for 30k less.
Does the car come with that fur missile security system standard?

They need to realise that the Lx570 is not a regular mom's car. It was not designed for that purpose. The hyundai Palisade or Kia Telluride should not be in the same sentence as the Lx570. This is the best blend of luxury and reliability you can get from amy full size SUV
Classic Lexus... They do not update their vehicles much in the interior. Old fashioned, but will run forever!
I have a 2016 gx460 and it’s crazy how different the interiors are! I don’t have that terrible toggle for the screen and I have the base trim level which in my opinion, looks way better since it doesn’t have that tacky wood! Love your tours!!
We just looked at Lexus and generally thought that the inside looked too much like stepping into your grandparents (nice) space vs. something more relevant to a mid 30s family. We like nice and upscale, just not stuffy.
I agree 100% about the mismatching interior vs exterior! I don’t think either is ugly necessarily, but they do not go together at all!
Can I just add how much I love the diaper for size reference? I get that so much better than if somebody gives me dimensions 🤣🤣🤣. I also just cannot with the interior. I feel like Lexus is made for people with no kids.
How is the technology updated?? I expected way better from Lexus.
This is definitely not a Mom car! Maybe a grandparent car that doesn’t have their grandkids very often 🙈 And for that price tag 😳 absolutely not! Great tour though!
Love the puppy!
This is hilarious, I have a 2013 Lexus with that toggle for the screen lol! How that’s not upgraded by now it’s crazy! And those cup holders, oh no! Thanks for showing me I don’t really ever want this car! I’ve always dreamed of it!

the good thing about this car that this mom will be able to pass it to her kids in a decade or two and most likely the kids will be able to drive it another decade without major problems as long as you change fluids regularly and take care of the frame with anti corrosion wax
14:35 sold! That dash clock and the interior colors were made for me! 😍 It’s a very masculine vehicle, in my opinion. 😎👍 Edit: That’s a gear in the center of the wheel, not a star = more masculine, I’d say.
Love these car tours! Would love to see a Honda Pilot!

I like the front profile. It's beefy not family hauler car eventhough it is. I agree inside needs to be more sporty and less gloss.
I completely agree that the inside doesn’t match the outside!
I have the 21 LX luxury sport. My kids are young adults and kind of crazy how you're needing space for baby stuff. When my kids we're young, we had a vehicle that was more tailored to a kids ride like a van. Upgraded since they've grown. Maybe a van is suitable for your family. I'll keep my for the next 20 years without issues. Good luck.
I’m not in the market for a car, and this one is nowhere near my budget....but I sat through the whole tour for the entertainment factor. (I also learned some things.) I 100% agree with your of the vehicle. A cool box? But no touch screen? Pass.

This review is hilarious. It is like a cowboy reviewing Hermes Birkin.
Just laughed so loud 🤣 very raw review, definitely needed your brutally honest opinion!
The fact that a vehicle that is $100,000 and doesn’t have a touch screen makes me nauseous. I also agree that it looks old-timey on the inside
impressive car 👍🏻
She is entertaining.. But everything negative she said about the car is true tho. After watching this review you see that it isn’t a well thought out car for what most people use it for. The elevated rear floor is a trade off for more off-road ground clearance. Nice review 🔥
I feel the same the inside seems so old looks like 07-08
My mom got the new GX and was very upset that the interior was sporty and more like a truck, she paid a lot of money and chose a Lexus because it is a luxury car. She didn't feel that way when she drove it so traded it in1
@Vlad6525
Жыл бұрын
GX is a truck. Your mom should do some homework before buying a vehicle…and test drives haven’t been cancelled even during the pandemic…
I choose reliability over everything else...which is why Lexus is far superior. In 15 to 20 years the Lexus will still be going strong, I can't say that about other brands.
agree👍
Good job girl
I love your commentary! You keep me laughing. I agree with you on the old school look of the interior. I like the exterior of the car but I HATE the interior colors & design. It’s awful! The design of the interior is so inconvenient.
I hate the toggle and they need to stop putting the clock in there.
As has probably been said, since im not going to read all of your comments...give the Toyota Land Cruiser a try...its basically the same vehicle without all of the 'Lexus' stuff in it and on it on the outside.
the new LX should be coming this year with a fully updated interior
I have the 2021 RX 350 and the interior is way more advanced. Even the RX has a touch screen
@rahimi4762
3 жыл бұрын
That too is badly outdated
😍
Yes I agree the BMW among other luxury vehicles offer a better interior layout but remember No car offers better plush/comfort seats than Lexus. The ride is superb very buttery and smooth. Lexus will take you to the end of the earth and back worry free.
Review the RX 350L
The centre console was SOOOO disappointing...among other things. How can someone use a toggle that sensitive while DRIVING?! It’s a lot going on with the dash and all the buttons. The infotainment system on my 2019 Terrain is much more user friendly. Why isn’t the heated steering wheel button on the steering wheel? Thumbs up for the video and information, thumbs down for the vehicle itself! Any chance you could tour a Sierra or Ram?!
Do the Kia K5 GT
Second row sucks in this car all my friends always complain of uncomfort and tiredness everytime someone is back there for 30 minutes or more. Escalade and Denali are much more comfortable then lx 570 i have never felt tired sitting on the second row like that
You don’t know what you’re talking about it’s that simple
Your car reviews are hilarious! You say out loud what most of us are already thinking 😆
LX570 isn’t for soccer mom.
LX is not daily Mum car, Lexus selling unbeatable reliability and driving experience comfort. If you need those you expected, there are so much on the market to choose for Mum. I had mine 2009 LX still work well for many years and recently got two GX for my two daughters!
Seriously looks like the inside of my grandparents car..🤮 I seriously love you and all your sassiness, so funny!!
For the price & year I’d expect way better technology all around!
Omg lol you crack me up
I love it just the way it us and some of it's Originality it still has class and to each his own every car model does not have to be as others just because of the technology as long as it’s functional i’m good with it I’m kind a like old-school somethings and some things that I know you just don’t care for

I wish the focus wasn’t so much on whether or not you like the color of the trim & finishes or the body style. That’s all pretty much personal preference. The important stuff is what really matters. Safety. Longevity. Latches. Trunk space. 3rd access. Overall I really do love your videos just wish they were a wee bit less opinionated on your preferences.

The focus of the tour is the overall functionality and value of the car from my perspective (as a mom of 2) I cover all topics you mentioned and plan to cover more about carseats and safety in the future however my CPST certification won't be completed until April. I would never want to present faulty information so until I am a certified expert I am not comfortable going into more detail. I have this vehicle in 2017, trust me, this vehicle will satisfy. It's as if I'm riding on a cloud, but don't get me wrong, she has the capacity to conquer anything on road and off. The LX 570 can raise its suspension on deep snow days and off- roading If you like. The 2016- 2021 Lexus LX 570 are basically the same vehicle, It's just that the latest LX's have a slightly different front grill, and the 2021 LX offered an additional color, thats it.

@@ShowemRight please, save your energy…if someone was “sold” on buying LX and is having doubts after this amateurish review, they weren’t really sold on it. LX and Toyota LC are true legends that will never be matched by any other vehicle with one possible exception of a MB G-Wagen, which costs close to $200k these days. But these trucks weren’t made for the mall hopping soccer moms, who value number of cup holders over off-road capabilities and reliability to get you through hell and back home in style and comfort. So please enjoy your LX and have a good laugh watching this video.
This is a desert ship..... very popular in Middle East (thats why you see Arabic instructions at 7:06) it is very popular for off-roading.. I will love to have this but thanks to car mom.. this is not an ideal family car.. too much to compromise.. no apple car play and no touch screen

I agree for a car that expensive it’s not worth it, doesn’t look as modern as some Other lexus in my opinion to make it worth that price
The lx and land cruiser are not soccer car moms. All the drive controls ARE what make a land cruiser and lx so good.
