    FYI: Some of you may know this, but many do not. Your 2021 GX may have the ability to remotely start by pressing Lock, Lock, Lock (hold it). You'll see the parking lights flash each time you press unlock on the remote. On the 3rd time you press the lock button, you'll hold it until the parking lights begin to flash several times, and then the engine will start. It will run for 10-15 minutes or until you open a door. Works great on my 2021 Premium Plus on cold Chicago mornings! 😉👍

    Thanks so much, Peter! I was just answering a question for another viewer for this vehicle and realized that the information about 3-Zone for the climate system, was inadvertently left out of the final edit of the video. Here's the info if you need it for your GX: 3 Zone means you have a 3rd controllable climate zone for the rear cabin. Zone 1: Driver's Area Zone 2: Front Passenger Area Zone 3: Rear Passenger Area If a passenger temperature is adjusted (from the front passenger or the back controls), then 3-Zone is activated and it will let all of the selectable temperatures operate separately. So you can have 3 temperatures chosen. When you turn 3-Zone off, by clicking on it, then all of the temperatures will sync up with the Driver's selected temperature. I'm sorry I seem to have missed that in the video. I do apologize for the oversite. All the best!

I'll do some digging and see if I can learn anything new. They may be keeping a lid on it either way. Tech changes are long over due so people will be happy if they happen, but unhappy if they don't. Here's what I can see on the Lexus USA site for the 2021 GX Premium Plus Package: Include Premium Items: Intuitive Parking Assist Power-folding outside mirrors (starting with October 2020 production) LED foglamps Rain-sensing windshield wipers Windshield wiper de-icer Heated and ventilated front seats Heated second-row outboard seats Three-zone automatic climate control with interior air filter and adds Mark Levinson. Here's a great resource: www.marklevinson.com/in-lexus.html#gx that will give you all the info for the system. Thanks so much, Mary! Unfortunately on the GX, we don't seem to have that option for "Auto" Folding Side Mirrors right now. They are adding the "Power-folding outside mirrors (starting with October 2020 production)" on the Premium Package, but they still don't Auto fold. I believe that feature may be on the GX in some other countries. Hopefully it will be added to the GX on the next redesign. All the best!

    Congrats on your new GX, @Obed! The 2021 GX does have a PCS (Pre Collision System) on board. There are a lot of details and parameters to be aware of to understand how and when it operates. Maker sure to read that section of your Owner's Manual to learn more about it. It is am amazing system and is designed to mitigate an accident. It should not be used to avoid all collisions. There is not a system out there that can do that yet. Maybe one day :)

    Hi Rico! Awesome to have you here! The USB connection for audio is accessing your iPhone music library and it take a bit for the computer on the car to process the information. If you want to try to have the Source on Bluetooth Audio and have the audio on your phone open or running in the background, it may work better for you. Also, if you are an Apple Music Subscriber, I read that they have an on off control for "auto play" now. It is supposed to look like an infinity symbol. That will also be better experienced through the Bluetooth Audio source option. Hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in!

Let me see if I have a GX here with a HUD and I'll play with the settings and see if I can come up with a solution for you. My concern is that the items appear in a fixed position so I don't know if it will work, but it's worth a try. Fingers crossed and I'll get back with you :)

    Hi Doc Torres, Unfortunately the GX doesn't have the same "customizable lane change" feature that you are describing. I checked the online Owner's Manual for you and on page 211 (drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/document/om-s/OM60T19U/pdf/OM60T19U.pdf) it just states "move the lever partway and then release it." When you do that does it just blink once? That is what I have experienced driving the GX. I wish I had a better answer for you.

    Hi Eli, Yes, many of the features can be explored and customized when the vehicle is in Accessory Mode. Just don't apply the brake and press the Start Engine button twice. If an item isn't available it will be grayed out or the system will tell you that you need to turn on the car. For example, you usually have to have the car all the way on (engine running) to pair a phone. Hope this helps. Thanks so much for tuning in with us!

    Hi Steve. Thanks for watching. App with sound can be played through the Bluetooth Audio source selection on your sound system. On the GX, press the audio button, press source, select Bluetooth Audio. Then on your phone, open the app you want sound from, start playing content, use the volume control on the phone to turn it up to max volume. Then you can control the volume even better from the vehicle’s volume controls. If you are wanting audio from navigation apps, you will also need to look at the audio settings for the app. Each one is different and can vary by phone and phone OS. Some have options to play as a Bluetooth phone call so you can still listen to the radio while getting NAV app periodically like getting a call. Hope this helps 👍

    Hi Victoria, The GX spare tire is pulled up and held into place by a chain and a metal bracket. Check out page 543: drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/document/om-s/OM60T19U/pdf/OM60T19U.pdf for a better description. I don't think the chain should hang down past the tire though? Can you please check and see why when you the Apple Car Play, everything works (GPS, music, text and others) except Bluetooth. I took it to the dealership and said that was my phone, then they checked again and said it was the volume, but I never moved anything with that. They took it to the technician and gave me another NX300 2020 (same year and model as mine) and the Bluetooth works perfectly.

  • @NorthsideLexus

    @NorthsideLexus

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi @rosaab84 Thanks for watching. Sorry you're experiencing that. I hope I am understanding your issue. Here's what I can tell you: - Re: volume with Bluetooth. Each device pairing is different which could explain why it was not an issue in the other vehicle. Also, each app that produces sound seems to have a separate volume control. We're seeing this more and more with iOS14 versions. The trick is to get your app playing (through Bluetooth Audio) then turn the volume up on the iPhone all the way. Then adjust the volume on the car. The phone is sending volume information as well as the audio content to the vehilce. - When you plug in for Apple CarPlay, it completely overrides the BT connection until you unplug and the system reconnects for BT. So all voice commands, etc. should be push and hold to use Siri for the features you mentioned. If you push and release for native commands you can operate the radio and climate control, but not the phone. Hopefully this will solve your mystery. If not, please let me know exactly what you're experiencing and I'll see if I can troubleshoot it for you :)

Still gotta dig through the menus. At least you get auto high beam! I wish I was exaggerating, look up a 2010 lexus GX460 video, it's the same. They've kept the interior the same for 11 years. Yes keep the hardware same for reliability but could have made some adjustment for suckers shelling out close to 70k for 11 year old tech.

  • @NorthsideLexus

    @NorthsideLexus

    5 ай бұрын

    Hi! It is normal on all cars for the approximate range to lower to a more normal amount after the car starts learning how you drive and the octane rating of the fuel you are using. The initial calculation is not realistic because it is the first tank of gas and there are very few miles on the car for it to use as a reference. The car's I have access to for filming are also usually new and on the first tank of fuel so they can look high. Keep in mind that it usually take 3 tanks of fuel for all of the learning components to "learn" from you and the fuel being used. I hope this helps.

  • @NorthsideLexus

    @NorthsideLexus

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi Zemo, This GX has a V8 designed for a higher octane fuel. The minimum would be 91. The research grade was 96. Regular fuel is too low of an octane rating for this engine and can cause changes in valve timing and potentially damage the engine. It's always best to use the correct fuel for the engine type and build on any vehicle. I hope this helps. Thanks very much for being here. This is straight out of the owner's manual: "You must only use unleaded gasoline. Select premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 91 (Research Octane Number 96) or higher required for optimum engine performance and fuel economy. If the octane rating is less than 91, damage to the engine may occur and may void the vehicle warranty."
