I bought a powercore 4 for my 2020 KX 250 an did it just like you did an tried firing bike up do I need to jett the carb?

Ya do a video on the difference between the slip on and the full exhaust. I'm running just the fmf slip on now and would like to know if the header pipe is worth the extra cash. And what pegs are you running .

Will do👍🏻 I’m running stock right now but i plan to buy scar titanium pegs. Stock just doesn’t have enough grip and clog up real bad in mud.

Agreed. At the time I figured since it all came with the labeling “21 kx250” it should work as intended. But FMF took care of me and got it all sorted out.

Just always been a fan of fmf. Pro curcuit exhaust on the kawi looks sounds and rides sweet though. Can’t go wrong with either.

What coupler did you run with the slip on? Just curious. Thanks for the video man 😎

With the stock exhaust I ran the white, with the slip on I went back to the stock green. It gives up a little bottom hit but makes up for it pulling longer through the gears. And with the full system I’m still currently on the green coupler but I will be doing a teat video soon with stock vs fmf and all the coupler combinations.

@@granttaylorvlogs thanks a lot for replying and the advice. I am thinking about going to the slip-on first and using the white or green coupler and seeing how the bike does. Is it true it leans out a bit when you switch to a slip on? I didn't think the muffler change would do that, but these bikes are pretty complex so I'm not surprised if it's true. Appreciate it bro!

@@shad3128 yes slighty but not drastic. This past weekend i raced a pro am at archview mx in Illinois and it’s a bit tighter so I actually preferred the white coupler. So I have found white or green couples are really track dependent.

@@granttaylorvlogs nice bro. I used my white coupler for the first time in a smaller track the other day and it seemed pretty snappy compared to green. I feel like the green was smoother or more mellow. Haven't done anything to the exhaust yet though 🥲

I think it will fit but I don’t recommend it. They are different systems. So they dont match very well from 20-21

No not required but remapping your ecu definitely helps

@@hemstar77 the exhaust or the remap? Exhaust will make it run a little leaner yes. But nothing bad. And with remap it will run however it’s tuned to run.

@@KingShadows23 Yes but to be realistic. It’s still a 450. Nobody NEEDS a 450 so with the KX450 being down on power in my opinion makes it more manageable resulting in a easier riding more fun bike. (In my opinion)

Does the actual muffler detach from the mid pipe? Or is it one piece.

Just got the FMF slip-on this last weekend and it made a BIG difference. I was surprised it was that noticeable (since I'm slow too lol). I just did the silencer and got noticeable gains in the bottom and top end. Get it if you are on the fence!

Definitely an improvement over stock but the full system was better. I also later put on a PC system and it was better that the fmf (for this bike) I’m about to upload that insulation video.

So does that thing have a key or something to turn it on?

I’m like I’ve seen numerous vids an no one did that just fired bike up. Can you help me out an let me know if I can fire bike up? I did last night but it was freezing out in Ohio an my bike wouldn’t start up it wanted too but didn’t. Now I don’t have an electric start so just the kick. So because it didn’t start do you think it’s a filed plug, flooded or just to cold out???

@@travisfaulkner1495 hey man if that bike is a 2020 then it is fuel injected. You do not have to remap it. Just run it. The 2020 has pretty gnarly cams stock so they are a bit harder to start in general.

Fmf is smoother and crisper. Im not sure which one actually is louder.

You save about 4lbs with the FMF ..you'll need to remap it though its gonna be on the lean side ..

its a slip on , i didn’t have to remap shit on my 21 Kx 450 with a slip on exhaust , maybe a full complete exhaust system yeah . My Bike runs excellent too .

I think all bikes are good nowadays. Even with suzuki being behind on development. 95% of the moto population can’t use a 450 or even a 250 to it’s full capability. I think it’s everyone has their preference and to them that’s what’s best.

No 2021. But from what I have heard the previous year model does actually fit. Although i have not tried it myself to verify.
