I've ridden a Ninja H2 before but after releasing the Kawasaki Ninja H2 they decided they'd put that monster of a motorcycle into a touring platform which is what we are riding today, Kawasaki's Ninja H2 SX SE+ . Let's see how the performance translates in a different platform.

Yeah that is crazy that Suomi police have the H2 SX , you would need a bike like my KTM 690 Enduro to get away from them, because these bike will catch you on the highway no problem at all, but if you can escape in an offroad envoirement you will get away from them :)

Have a 2018 H2 SX SE, first owner. This model year does not have the electronic suspension adjustment of the SE +. Bike is stable at high speed without a steering damper. It handles wind well, head and cross, including the front blast zone when passing a semi. On the 2018 you have low, medium, high for power and 1, 2, 3 for traction control. I have toured cross country on this bike several times. Everything you need in my opinion. And having cruise control is quite nice. Packed 2 weeks of gear, still had about 150 miles per fuel up, even when riding hard. As we all know, it is about smiles per gallon. Definitely recommend an ECU flash to pull out the throttle jitters. On technical twisties you will feel the weight when flicking the bike, but if you are use to sport touring machines, not an issue. Around 564ish pounds wet. Definitely want to turn engine braking off, it is aggressive. Heated grips are on when green, level is being adjusted when flashing yellow, there are 3 power levels. I just skimmed the manual when I bought the bike. I did not find the menu confusing in my opinion. End of the day you will enjoy the bike.

Everything this guy says also applies to the 2019 I can tell you from experience. Especially the part about the ECU flash. Remove the rev limiter, limiter in specific gears and throttle valve limiter. It will unleash the beast + greatly improve your overall driving experience. Basically the stock configuration is crap.

I'm glad I bought that extended warranty, because I had to replace my ECU, and O-ring from the engine, and that was about $1,500, which my extended warranty covered all of that.

I mean Chase how many riders literally learn all their controls on their bike while riding their bike I didn't do that on my bike and I sure other Riders don't do that either, I've always felt what you talk about controls the only ones you should be talking about is how intuitive the turn signals the lights from standard to high beam Etc and if they have like different engine mode, because anything more than that people are going to look at their owners manual and not fiddle with it while they're riding.

It's nice to see some videos on KZread of my favorite motorcycle. I'm super excited to eventually have enough money to afford one of these bikes. The SXSE plus H2 motorcycle would be super cool to have, as it has many bells and whistles that would make it a pretty amazing touring sport bike. It can also go fast enough at top speed for drag racing, if desired. While it may not be the most preferred motorcycle for racing, it's still a sports bike and can reach a pretty fast top speed. I think I saw someone on KZread at one point tune it to go a top speed of 201 mph, so it definitely has some impressive speed. All in all, this will be a bike to enjoy.😁

The bike is top heavy but not heavy overall compared to a touring bike. Z1000 with a fairing and touring seat. Basic Ninja with electronics...and the super charger flattens the torque curve as in a straight line across mostly not a bending one from low to high...called a linear curve. Turbo F150 does the same thing.

@@1DS9 there still is a big difference between the two. The wife would take one look at the SX seat and wind protection and go “no effing way I’m touring multiple hours on that”. The Connie with its big fairing, power windscreen, and flatter seat keep things comfortable out back for her. My Connie also has 2 inch bar risers on the stock handlebars which stock are already much higher than the SX’s clipons. I’m not sure why a little less weight and simple cruise control system was a big ask?

You know, I think there’s too much horsepower too, people keep thinking when they get on a. Kawasaki H2 bike they’ll just be dead. Then when they get on it, they talk about how manageable and good they feel. See Whitney on Yaminoob’s channel, she said she was terrified about climbing on the ZH2 for the first time, when rode it she said it was one of the best experiences she ever had.

Just been looking into these. Apparently Kawasaki massively limits the power output of this engine in this bike. I am seeing people getting them tuned and the nannies taken off and they are 230 to 240 at the wheel. Supposedly this is a conservative tune. So that means these things are capably of 260 or 270 hp at the crank. I really want one of these now.

  • @GPz84

Engine puts out 310bhp. You do a bit of tuning on this thing and you have a monster. There was a guy here on KZread and his was putting out 250 at the crank after a bit of work. But with increased HP, lower fuel economy.

Nice! I have the 2018 Ninja H2 SX SE, and it's such a fricken amazing bike! I call it my "SXSE" (sexy) bike. Love the bike! There's power/ torque/ speed even in 6th gear. I have to be keep an eye on the speedometer, otherwise it'll get you into triple digit speed. The menu isn't that difficult to learn. Gotta read the manual, and it becomes second nature afterwards.

5:01 I believe that thing measures the “G” forces. How many “G’s” are forcing you backwards while on the throttle. And forward while on the brakes. These bikes are get to smart. I’m worried that all the tech might take the whole, rider and machine bond, away. I’m starting to miss the days where your bike never asked you if you were absolutely sure that you wanted to pull this wheelie or not. Or never stopped you from burning out or opening the throttle wide open. The only thing all this new tech does is make more younger riders over confident. It places training wheels on the bike and never come off. And that makes them unpredictable if they hop on any bike without. Where as someone who started off with bikes that where only limited by the riders abilities. I can see the up side to these bikes as well. If you aren’t expected. The tech on these bikes help a shiz ton on cost. If your newer to riding and your goal is to ride a super bike. You can buy one of these bikes and turn on all the restrictions. So it won’t allow you to flip the bike if you grab all the throttle and dump the clutch. It won’t even let you wheelie if that happened. It cuts the power by damn near half. And now they have radar cruise control!!! So you can buy one bike and be able to grow into it, so to speak. So you won’t have to buy a 250 or 600cc bike. And then later have to buy a bigger bike because you’ve outgrown the smaller bike.

Last year that the SX could be flashed for it's full 220+ horsepower. 2022-current has a different ECU and has still not been cracked. So FYI if you're considering buying an H2 SX and piping and flashing it into a 220+ horsepower monster do NOT buy a 2022-2024 because you will be stuck on stock power for an unforeseeable amount of time.

The main problem with most of the fancy stuff like lean, throttle and boost meters is pretty useless. When you open this bike up aint no way you looking down to look at your boost level. After 8000rpm this bike glue your eyes on the road. Aint got no time to look at these things much.

6:27 I do not agree at all. Many people also bought the much cheaper H2 SX standard version in black 2018 when they had that option. You still had the bags, some safety electronics, cruise control and that awesome supercharged engine but nothing other than that and the price was quite a lot cheaper. If you did not want your bike in green, which many people do not want on their bike, and if you did not want the bike to almost ride itself with too much electronics, that H2 SX standard was perfect for the cheaper price. I see that bike a lot on the used market and sometimes outside so I do not think it sold that bad, I think Kawasaki stopped selling it because they are greedy and want to sell the more expensive H2 SX SE because they want to sell as expensive bikes as possible =( 7:04 I do not think it is too far forward at all for a sport touring bike, I feel it is exactly how a SPORT touring bike should be , slightly canted forward, semi aggressive. So you still feel and ride sporty but in a comfortable way, it is the best riding position on a SPORT touring bike there is. Much rather travel like that than having all of the weight on your a$s and getting all the windblasts sitting straight up like you do on "sport" touring bikes like the S1000XR and Tracer 900 and so on =(
