All I can say Miles is that Jeep has a real winner in the Grand Cherokee L. Imagine if this vehicle had gone on sale a year ago, the competition would be in trouble by now! Like I mentioned before, now that the 5.7L V8 has cylinder deactivation, I'd give the 3.6L 24V Dual overhead cam V6 top consideration. Thank you for your awesome Night Drives, always a winner!

@@allthingsinteresting6546yeah it does look nicer than some Audis, who’s interiors have definitely fallen off in terms of quality in the last 10 years or so. Jeep has made some big strides in terms of becoming a more upmarket brand.

While Jeep is solely an SUV/Truck brand, they’ve pulled some tricks out of Maserati brand, really just in terms of interior quality, say want you want about Maserati’s but you cannot deny that they’re interiors are absolutely gorgeous. You won’t find one cheap material in a Maserati, Jeep has done the same on some of their high end vehicles. Like this range topping Summit trim, you get great interior quality.

Don’t let it fool you. The material quality and reliability is still not there. You have to get in one and start touching on the plastic surfaces to feel it. There is a reason why these suvs are going for way below msrp and dealer lots are full of them

I recently got a Jeep also but had to settle for a Gladiator. However, I bolted-down a small loveseat in the bed so at least I can get my "3-row seating" feature. Not sure why Jeep didn't think of that themselves and make it a ($$$$ of course) factory option. ;-) -- Jed Clampett Yes, at night the dashes on these new Jeeps kind of look like a small private airplane's dash with all those gauges/lighted buttons.

how do you get the navigation to pop up on the instrument cluster? Have a 2021 Overland and was trying to set that up on the dash.

The buttons on the steering wheel cycle through different information displayed on the gauge cluster.

why it's so slow, in brochure this v6 hit 60 in 7.3

Does the v6 feels slow? I really want a v8 but they are rare to find around my area at a reasonable price with out high dealer mark ups 😔. So im thinking of the v6 but i wonder how it feels.

hi Miles, i have a 2020 GC overland v6 4x4, I do regret getting the offroad 2 package for the 18" wheels and e LSD. is the new gen worth the upgrade specifically the 2 row?

@@DDuncan77 kinda weak. i get about 350-450 on a full tank. 2020 GC overland V6 4x4. kinda wish it was like 450+ on the new ones since its apparently 250 lbs lighter

I didn’t feel the Powertrain was rough at all. The Pentastar V6 has been refined over many years and works well here

The Pentastar V6 is a good engine, it's been out for a long time and it's been constantly updated and refined to the point were it's decently powerful, pretty fuel efficient and as far as NA V6s go it's quite smooth, and since it's an NA V6 it's gonna be reliable, unlike many other vehicles in this class now have turbo 4 cylinders. Jeep easily could have put the 2.0T that they have in the Wrangler and Alfa Romeos in the GC, but they stuck with the reliable V6 to avoid the possibility of long term turbocharging issues. If you want more power you can still get the 5.7L HEMI in the L version, as well as a PHEV GC.

Is the ambient lighting for all models?

That was actually my biggest complaint - the door closure sounded terrible in person. Otherwise, it was a great SUV

It's among the quieter non-luxury 3-rows, but luxury models still have additional sound insulation, dual-pane glass, or glass laminates that make them quieter
