Great vid~ I'm glad you mentioned the driving assist/lane centering & that it works well on the hwy. I do a lot of trips from Las Vegas to California & it's 400 miles of strait nothing~ it would be great to let the Jeep to most of the work.

That's amazing 👏. I've been wanting something more rugged and durable than my car but I don't need a truck (I don't haul or pull trailers). A Jeep Grand Cherokee seems like a good fit seeing as I don't go off road ever but I DO see deer and hogs crossing these country roads often. This night vision could save my life and keep me from damaging the vehicle 😃.

Regarding the speed limit signs on the nav: try it when you have a gps route activated. I don't know if that will work but I noticed that's when it shows up on my dad's car (not a jeep btw). he was asking himself the same thing "why doesnt the speed limit sign show up?" then we tinkered with it and found it only displays when a gps route is active. seems silly bc one would think the speed limit should be displayed regardless of using gps help or not. hope this helps

Can the night vision screen be brought up on the passenger side lcd so your passenger could watch for wildlife etc, while you stare ahead at the road?

Awesome…..just a heads up, when you park your Jeep on sunny days place a cover over the HUD glass to help reduce direct sunlight and UV which could after a while damage it.

Did I miss how to engage the night camera ? or is it automatic?

Will google maps through carplay show up on the gauge cluster screen or does that not sync up too?

Google/Apple will only show up on the central main radio/control screen.

How do you change the radio or the climate control when you're driving? You just glance down at it. You don't drive looking at it the whole time 😂

You can't use Apple or Android NAV apps?

You can use them on the main screen, however they don't play / work with the heads up navigation

Great FLIR quality. KZread Gen 1 Apache FLIR videos and you will see what crap FLIR is like. GEN 2 FLIR was being deployed around 2006 and that was improved.

Does this feature come on the overland only?

I don't think so, it just needs to have the Technology package. Possibly Overland is the lowest trim to get that package?

Yep. My first thought was driving with it to spot pigs along the sides of ranch roads

Yeah that is a bummer when you're paying $60k and you get like a $750 credit. I tried finding one out there that still had it but couldn't. I find the "normal" suspension that comes with it to be on the stiffer side.

Does the heads-up display alert you to any animals/people detections that the night vision detects? I fear that the night vision would become more of a distraction to take my eyes off of the road, if I'm constantly having to monitor it instead of just looking at it when something is detected.

@@thomasgoodwin5198 no alerting on the heads up display that I've seen.. that would be nice. I believe it gives an audible sound to alert you and will turn the center display to the night vision if something is noticed... Now, if the night vision is being displayed it doesn't alert unless something is in the vehicles path (red vs yellow object) Then again, there could be options somewhere in a menu to modify all that. I'll need to look.

This is a thermal imager, not a night vision ! I know .. both are used for night vision I mean the difference between military pvs 14 And any military thermal scope

It would be cool if this was optional on a Wrangler.

Why and when will you need night vision. It’s best to pay attention to the road

A few examples - 1) Driving down a residential street where someone could be someone walking/jogging/riding a bike on the road that might be hard to see 2) Out in the country this would alert you of deer or other animals that are next to or on the road. 3) How about even unlit parking lots in pour weather conditions that make it hard to see people It's simply a tool that can help assist & alert you.

@@greentruth89 Most people are going to pay for the heads up display, both of these features come together, if you've had a heads up display before you'd never go back, it's that simple, it's just a lot of cars that aren't expensive don't have it.

@@greentruth89 you’ve never been down a country road with no light poles, scary as shit as full beams don’t go that far.

I have a 2022 Grand Cherokee. The night vision is cool technology, but it’s horribly positioned. It’s impossible to use and keep your eyes on the road at the same time.
