    Chris, Chris, Chris, I cannot believe this video is not getting more love. This is a superb hatch. Smartly design and engineered. I been waiting on you to review this car and you received the coolest one. White with the DCT and with a pair of proper pumas, man you are ringing in 2021 right. I enjoyed the video and now I am keeping an eye out for a CPO near me. 🖖

    You’ve got a great formula and for review formatting and video production quality. How much time does it take on average to build a video of this quality?

  • @AutoAcademics

    @AutoAcademics

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thank you, John Cardin. It is quite a bit of work. On average, we spend about 6-8 hours recording each car, 2-3 hours researching and writing script, then about 6-8 hours editing. After that is thumbnails and social media which can take another 1-2 hours. It's spread out throughout the week, but takes quite a bit of time, which is why we appreciate people like you who watch regularly. Makes it all worth it! Thanks for watching!

    I drive manual just fine and quite honestly originally went looking for a N with a manual transmission. I had a 13 NAV with the DCT and I wasn’t impressed, however the newer wet clutch just might be the best transmission I have had the pleasure of piloting. The thing shifts soooooo fast! Don’t knock it till you drive it.

    @@AutoAcademics I agree. I wanted a manual car because I hadn't owned one in quite some time. I wanted that engaging driving experience again. I got bad knees. After test driving some cars, I really didn't like the idea of having knee pain everyday because of all the traffic. Drove a couple of DCT options and the Veloster was the most engaging and intuitive driving experience I have ever had. I feel so connected to the car. It's like my brain is directly wired into it. Sadly I just found out that the recall issue was never taken care of on it and I have to wait another 15 days until I can get it in to get fixed. Not going to drive it until taken care of.

    Hyundai said, the Volester N DCT 0-60 time is 5.6 seconds. The actual 0-60 time is 4.9 seconds. Hyundai underrated speed time on the Veloster like they did on the Sonata.

    We wouldn't be surprised about the underrating, J T. Not sure it's 4.9, though. The turbo does lag a bit, then you get wheel spin once it spools up, robbing precious time. Still a great car, though. Thanks for watching!
