I've been fishing my Compass for almost a year now and love it. Hobie definitely makes quality products, so even if it turns out not to be exactly what you want, you won't have any trouble getting your money back on it.

So far I love. I’ve used it a handful of times and planning on taking it out tomorrow if the weather allows 😁

I bought the Hobie Mirage Revolution 13 a few months ago. Same color as yours, I love it. Only wish I had more time to take it out. Got the 360 too but I take the Revolution out when I wanna go fast.

I got the 2019 camp compass. First peddle yak and it is a game changer!

Bought the compass for open ocean handles chop great very efficient and don’t sweat the water coming over the bow.

Can't go wrong with the Hobie Compass. Hobie just came out with a Mirage Lynx, that will be my next purchase.

I like the Lynx. Good design and the light weight is great. I love this compass. I’ve taken it out a few times and I’m hoping for good weather next weekend so I can take it out again! Lol

Without even watching the vid, I can say: yes, you made the right choice. I own an Outback and getting a Lynx delivered soon, but if I could only have one yak, that'd would be the Compass. Much lighter than the Outback and much more of a kayak than the Lynx. Good for both fresh and saltwater. Enjoy!

I'm actually selling my Outback to get a Compass. Same drive system, bout 50 lbs lighter. Yes plz.

@@briarfox637 50 lbs lighter? No. The difference between the Outback and the Compass for the fitted hull is about 8 kg. 39 kg for the Outback and 31 for the Compass.

@@tonyg3091 Its 50lbs between hull weight and fully rigged weight. That's what I calculated, my bad. Yes. Its closer between non-rigged hull weights.

That's a very capable kayak brotha. Good buy. Its easy to haul around compare to the outback because of its weight and you don't have to worry about choppy waters getting into the hull.

It can handle the ocean chop but you might want to consider a larger rudder like the boonedox aluminum rudder to prevent the weathercocking that is bound to happen. Also turbo fins definitely help and will save you some time coming back home (and maybe a nice booty workout in the process)

Regular 180 fins they move really fast. In my opinion they are great. Turbo fins you can probably go much faster.

Boys and their toys! Did you check out the Minn Kota powered Old Town kayaks? They have the auto pilot 120 that has the gps spot lock and tracking but it's $1000 more ($3800) than what you just paid. I see some kayak videos and lots of fun in your future with the hobie. Ha! Do you still have your Mako?

I checked out all the old town models and talked to a lot of people who do kayak fishing and I settled on the hobie compass. I sold the boat, I made a video about it. I’m now in the market for something a little more ocean worthy. I’m in no rush to buy though I haven’t even started looking yet. But in the meantime this kayak will do the job!

You should get a leash for that drive. I don't even think you can get another kick up drive. Are you going to get turbo fins? It's a solid kayak can't go wrong with a compass

You would waste energy,all your energy and probably not even go nearly as fast as a comfortable leaned back pedaling position. It would probably be pointless. Lean back, pedal, and relax

I loved he Gheenoe but I can only take it in flat water. The smallest waves can sink it. I’m going to get another boat too. Lol this kayak is just in the mean time. People keep asking me when am I getting another boat but I’m not rush I’ve been really busy with school and work it’s hard to even get free time to look at boats lol

I wouldn't buy a kayak with a hatch on the front. I thinkbthe well is much more useful and safer for rough water.

Sell the compass and spend an extra 1-2 grand for a hobie adventure island trimaran! Then you can sail around

Good idea. Even better is to sell the Compass, spend extra 200-300 grand and buy a proper catamaran with cabins, blackjack and whores. This way he could sail even more. P.S. Seriously dude, have you ever tried to cartop an Adventure Island?
