What!!!!!! that was easy! Can I install the "Venture" dash cam the same way?

Have you had any issues since installing this adapter? I recently purchased the same adapter for my 2021 Bronco (Not Sport), Big Bend edition. Almost immediately, I received a Brake System Error alert. Not sure if it is due to the adapter, or the recent windshield installation and calibration.

I have a Honda Pilot 2019 with Dongar adapter on my rear-view mirror with garage door and dimming button. I have two dash cams mini 2, one plug in my Dongar rear view mirror adaptor and the other one in the 12V socket in trunk. I had so much issue with battery dying... Since my battery was 2-3 years old… I changed my battery with an Optima Yellowtop 800CCA (400$). Few weeks after battery was always discharged… Always died and needed to boost my car. Finally brought it to Honda did a parasite test, when the unplug the dash cam mini's, parasite seemed to disappear. Installed another battery (Legend Premium AGM 600$) and I have unplugged my dash cam’s. Since no issue. Will have to figure out another way to supply cam with a 12V cut-off kit or something…

I don't have a pilot but don't both of these 12V sources cut-off with the ignition turned off? I don't know how the dealer did their parasite test but you can also test this for yourself with a multimeter applied at the cigarette lighter and mirror.

Does anyone know which is the fuse with a constant on (hot) under drivers steering wheel interior fuse box for parking mode of a dash cam ?

Curious, do you get full use of all options the camera offers powering it this way? Like the parking guard? My truck was stolen 2 weeks ago and im ordering a bronco, so I want to make sure I have security while it's parked!

The adapter does not provide power when the vehicle is off. Its not recommend to wire a dashcam to an OEM battery for 24/7 surveillance because a stock battery are not meant for deep discharge cycles and will fully drain from a dash cam within 2 days or so. Also, a forward facing cam wouldn't capture side break-ins anyway. Blackboxmycar and Blackvue sell an external battery packs designed for dash cam purposes though.

can you be connected to apple car play and on the dash cam wifi at the same time?

My car uses carplay via USB cable and I can still check my dash cam wirelessly but unfortunately I can't test that specific scenario for you. I know the dash cam supports both wifi and bluetooth so maybe it just depends on if your phone allows it.

is there a way to enable parking mode so it stays on after you turn off car.

Not in the Bronco using the mirror. It does not have power running to it when the vehicles off. You can always just run a wire from the fusebox though.

Do you have the link for the Dongar? Is it for the F150?

I put it in the description. The latest F150 and the Bronco are compatible with the same adapter.

I wish they made a dash cam for the Bronco. Unfortunately, all you can find are windshield cams. The only option for the dash is a GoPro, which isn’t a great choice.

Does this work for the Bronco Sport?
