I love rowing through the gears as much as the next guy, but the new auto gearboxes are on a different level. Especially when you add a little boost.

I haven't driven a 10 speed SS yet, but the shifts look pretty damn snappy from what I've seen.

@@danielr3933 Good is a subjective term. I got the opportunity to drive a Plaid with a gearbox upgrade and yes it was quite fast and borderline violent on the 60ft, but it was missing one crucial part of a race car; the engine note. You’re going 1.0X 60ft and ~3 seconds 0-60 but the only noise you hear is Little pebbles and other road debris that the wad is picking up and flinging around with its sticky tire compound. Also maybe a Star Wars-esque whirring noise as the vehicle accelerates but that’s it. No popping and banging off the limiter with a mini fireworks show coming out of the pipes and that sweet engine orchestra of whatever style engine you prefer. Electric will never be able to compete with that.

Are you clutch dumping, or slipping the clutch and at what RPM? Nice run!

Floor it, then clutch dump at around 3.5k rpm. The launch control at 4.5k overpowers these tires. I feel I can get even lower on a set of Cup 2's.

The needle was at 60mph at 3.6 seconds. Something is off.

Anything done to it? I had a 2019 SS 6MT and could never get below 4.1. Probably wasn't launching it right, though. I traded it for a ZL1 and can not get better than a 3.8 lol. Spins so much,

Bone stock. I wasn't able to get below 4.1 until I stopped using launch control and learned the perfect rpm and clutch feathering for these particular tires. I'm hoping to trade up to a ZL1 1LE if I can find one.

@@Cartier. The wider rears on the 1LE definitely help, but not as much as choosing the rpm launch point with the 6MT. There is a super narrow sweet spot.

@@1LEthal could i ask what wheel you have? I’ve put a deposit on a collectors edition and want to have proper wheels before I drive it

i always have some problem with launch control, my best run is a steady 4.6. my rmp is set at 2000 and I see that you have the rmp set at 3500 will try the 3500 see if i can get a better time. What is your slip target? i have Nitto 555 D2 305 in the rear, they hook best well, 2023 Camaro 2SS A10

Hi had the same problem, 2023 2SS A10 5250 miles. i brought my car yesterday at the dealer and the problem was an software update. they fix it and now is working properly

Would you say this car is better buy than a ct4v blackwing? Trying to choose between this and that. Camaro is about 20k cheaper, so I'm starting to lean towards it. 😂

Having not driven a CT4V I couldn't say. Sharing the same platform, and the 1LE with superior handling, I personally don't think the extra 20k is worth it.

@@1LEthal my biggest worry with the camaro is the ground clearance. I think they are sub 5 inches. I know the ct4v is at 5 for my steep-ish driveway

@@SirReddit18 I ended up with a 2022 orange ct4v blackwing. I still actually scrape just a little in my driveway if I don't hit it at the right angle but only a little. Overall, it's been a fun car. Really fast and has a 6 speed.

Are you using NLS? I have a 22 2ss 1e manual running on 93 octane, bone stock!

Doesn't seem to make a difference in 0-60 runs. It definitely does in the twistys though.

The modes dont add power, you need more tq if you want quicker times.

@@taaybabyycod9039 Adjusts the suspension stiffness if it has magnetic ride control, opens the exhaust valves up, makes the steering heavier, makes the throttle more linear, and adjust the traction/stability control system to allow more play before kicking in.

Yes. same amount of power but the LT1 comes with 245 all-seasons. SS comes staggered with 275s in the back and they’re summer (sticky) tires. More grip = better acceleration. I own a V6 RS and it slips a lot even with the measly 335 hp. I can only imagine how slippy an LT1 must be, with the same tires. Probably can’t launch without spinning out…

LT1 faster than SS. It is lighter and consistently traps higher speeds in 1/8th and 1/4 mile

The LT1 is a little lighter with the same tire sizes as an SS so probably slightly faster. A 1LE will take them both off the line due to the 305's on the rear but may get reeled in on the top end because of the extra downforce. On a track, the 1LE dominates.

So you do 55mph on the first gear?

The 6MT has pretty tall gearing. Redline in 1st is around 55mph.

​@@1LEthalso pretty much if one does some valvetrain work and raise the limiter to 7k rpms 0-60 could be acheived in first gear😱

​@@Gchang54No need to carry past 6200 rpm as power is falling off. Only reason to go to redline is for top speed tests, max mph per gear, not great for 0-60 and 1/4 runs.
