Hello from Ukraine. I see that you are testing different welding boards and recommend buying a purple board with 5 Mosfets instead of this board. I would agree with you, but there is just a problem. When the Chinese sold it with the original CS228 or CS209 mosfets, I agree, it is the best. But now they sell it with mosfets whose markings are either erased, the markings are broken, or they are simply fake. And as soon as you connect a powerful battery to it to cook 0.2mm tape, the mosfets immediately burn. This is terrible... It has now been greatly reduced in price. Therefore, I think that if you choose today between this and the purple board, I would choose this one. Because there is an operational amplifier that doubles up and duplicates 15v for the logic of the controller. And in the purple board, for it to work correctly, you need to connect an additional 12v power supply from the power supply in parallel to the battery. So that at the time of welding the controller has a constant 12v for logic and it can normally close and open the mosfets. In general, the Chinese ruined the purple board. But there is also good news. Now there are very, very, very good boards on the market and not expensive. The Chinese have released 2 new boards, which are now the best. They cost $20+, but trust me, they're worth it. I could send you a link to them if you are still interested in testing new boards for spot welding.

I like your videos I just ordered one from Amazon but you say the purple one is better. This one seems better more powerful just seeing the probe wires shake when you weld.

I subscribed a few videos ago as I have been binge-watching since I found you LOL... The question I have is - I really like the spot welding leads you use, but did you make those and do you have a video showing how you made them?. Since you are very successful at spot welding with these leads, I would like to be able to reproduce your successful welds with leads like the ones you are using, because the leads that come with spot welders I have used are way too small. I also have made a purchase already from your links to the 99g board you had in another video and also have purchased from your link (in that video) the additional mosfets to upgrade that welder... What could the max battery amperage be? I am not sure if it's 900A or 1800A?I ask because if you go closer to the upper amperage-edge without damaging the board you would have more flexibility in using different/thicker material etc.

If not I recommend you the purple spot welding kzread.info/dash/bejne/mqii0MeBhdinoco.html. click link please however if you have it so keep it then used up to 600A burst rate. battery amperage it depend on discharge rate of the battery for example your battery spec is 12V 6000mah 100C. 6×100C = 600A ideal for kick/jump start and for spot welding for nickel plate.

good review, will you add copper and aluminium heatsink cooler on mosfet?

this controller better to reinforce the traces so that the resistance increase expected current also, However adding heatsink not necessarily becasuse the mosfet did not overheat during testing not like the BIFRC needed heatsink.

can it weld a 0,2 pure copper and 0,2 nickel strip together like you did in your latest battery build? i guess yes because it can weld the 0,3 strip at gear 2 out of 6? so there should be enough power left? can you please please test it and give me short yes or no as an answer?

unfortunately not the purple spot welder can perform 0.2mm copper and nickel welding at once.

I just got one of these, and managed to fry it on the second go. First I attached a 12v pb battery, and that didn't seem to have enough juice, so I got my auto battery charger. Smoke happened just being hooked up, I turned it down, and upon the first attempt, it fried C4 glowing red, and D1 maybe cracked, and maybe the IC to the right of L1. Any ideas? Anywhere people discuss potential fixes? Thanks.

If the IC burn or cracked it's hard to fix unless you have the program. if you only mosfet damage easy to replace. anyway I have a recomendation for you it is also cheap and better of all cheap spot welding I produce video part 1 & 2 and also comparison and I found out that this chap spot welding is the best in the market today kindly please click link below kzread.info/dash/bejne/moiFybqTctDLmrQ.html

@@pitikaron I would think replacing a diode or a cap would be simple, if I knew the values. Once burned, are hard to read. The IC, if that's what it is, is more problematic. I suspect I overwhelmed the circuits that supply for the logic with my input supply. Perhaps too much above 12v.

According to the spec this spot welder can only go through until 60ah lead acid battery. If your 600CC is 60ah so it is suitable.

I have been watching some reviews on that spot welder DHJ-02B, but it seems that nobody really knows the setting of "C" (1-9C, 9.1-20C...). Guesswork? Yes, thanks to the really poor user manual. So, at least for me it is Try-and-Error.

The sel ction of C rate and Ah you should match up to your battery for example if your battery is lead acid 20ah just simply choose 20Ah and the corresponding C rate, if your battery is RC car battery the if the ah is 5000mah or 5ah choose 5ah and the corresponding C rate.

if you're 250 ah battery exceed 900A pulse discharge dont used it as a source of power to your spot welding. anyway I recommend you this latest spot welding and cheap more postive review in Ali-express. kzread.info/dash/bejne/moiFybqTctDLmrQ.html Ive done part 1 and 2 review plus comparison and I found out it is better of all cheap spot welding in the market today even expensive spot welding can not compet.

I used 8000mah 12V 130C lipo battery 8×130 = 1000A pulse discharge however the amp limit to the purple spot welding is 2000A pulse discharge. capacity battery it is not really important but you must not exceed the current limit Which is 2000A pulse discharge. sorry I did not have chances to try large capacity battery like what you said 250ah.
