for that price before taxes I got a 375hp Dodge Charger a couple years ago...that goes 295g/CO2 per km and had better equipment lol. Anyway I feel that this is the way to make bank, clients will tend to lease instead of buying so they don't have to deal with the full cost, and after 3 yrs the car manufacturers gets his car back, pretty much untouched and with low miles. Only then the car will be "sold" for a reasonable price.

@@jh5kl to the original comments credit. 40.000 euros for a 150psis ridiculous. keep in mind the Golf R starts at around 40.000 euros. Depending on your country of origin, the 150ps Golf starts at different prices. In Cyprus, this model starts at 21.900 euros. In Italy, i believe from 25.000 and above and Croatia 35.000. Its not 40.000 at all EU countries. Lastly, there are many cheaper cars for the same money, so it all depends on the imdividual. But a 150ps for 40.000?? Laughable

All you guys talking about price, I would say it has something to do with that 1st edition in the title. Golf 7.5 R-Line/Highline was 22k€. I would say it is a limited edition of let's say 1000 cars before the actual mass production. There's probably enough impatient VAG fans out there that they would have no problem selling these.

That retail 39k euros is ridiculous, I don't think anyone really pays that for it, would be really silly to do that. My 2019 VW Golf Allroad I've bought last month brand new, was $28k when retail (MSRP) was $36k and it has the panoramic sunroof, BiXenon headlights, parking sensors, DSG, 4motion etc.

In Brazil up 210,000 reais. VwBR very crazy

Diese Kommentare werden langsam langweilig! Genau die gleichen kamen 2012 damals als der Golf 7 am Start war auch. Es dauert immer ein wenig bis die Leute sich an das neue Design gewönnen.

Der Bärtige Gerdau Hä?? 😂 Vielleicht lässt man sich auch einfach mal auf das neue Design ein und urteilt nicht bevor man das Fahrzeug überhaupt in Real gesehen hat!? Zu jedem neuen Golf Modell das gleiche. Anfangs wird das neue Modell von jedem Hans Wurst kritisiert und nach einer Weile wird das Design immer mehr akzeptiert! Typisch ewig gestrige 🤷🏼‍♂️ Bloß nichts neues zulassen...

VW took itself right out of the market with this one. It's covered in glossy black plastic and there are literally no physical buttons. That will be detrimental in terms of perceived quality. And it costs €40.000!!!!!!!! What?!

Espero que não apareçam brasileiros para esculhambar o produto, como fizeram com o cambio DSG do Golf MK7, falando bobagens sobre um tal barulho e sobre o freio elétrico. Isso levou a VW a lançar o carro com cambio convencional e freio mecânico. Eu que tenho o prazer de ser proprietário de um TSI Higline 2015, posso dizer que o carro satisfaz em todos os sentidos, desde sua presença, acabamento, conforto e performance. Penso que depois de duplo fracasso na produção do maravilhoso Golf no Brasil, a VW deve trazê-lo importado da Alemanha, como carro de nicho. O mercado brasileiro não tem perfil para tornar o Golf popular, como é na Europa, mas tem uma legião de fãs dispostos a comprá-lo.
