You made the right choice I had a beautiful RG 2011 cvo that air pocket and the distance between me and the fairing was unbearable

I test road both and I despised the RG. I bought an UL and I love it. I loved the fixed fairing on my Voyager, but I hate the one on the RG.

I ride the Vulcan Voyager and love it but am seriously thinking of trading up to the UL.

So overall, what is the better bike? Harley or Kawasaki? I have always liked my Voyager. Have trouble getting over the HD price.

That's good you feel better about your purchase. We just traded our 2018 Ultra Limited for a 2020 Road Glide Limited. Unfortunately it's in the shop hopefully we will get it back soon. We had Rinehart slipons on the 2018 and was pretty happy with the sound.

The ultra limited is the iconic, quentisential harley-davidson. I do not like the shark-nose for the same reasons that you mentioned. Enjoy

I swore I needed the shark nose but hated the look glad I purchased the SG, the wind issue on the bars is not even noticeable it’s maybe a 5% difference I commute 227mi daily on it, I rather the speakers and screen be closer then a little more wind your on a motorcycle.

I had a 17 ultra limited which I loved. Test rode the ultra limited and roadglide limited, both 21s. I fell in love with the roadglide and just got it last week. Only thing I've done to it is heel shifter, highway pegs and fuelings vented dipstick.( so far) the android auto is really nice.

My first Harley, in 2013, was a 2001 RoadGlide. I thought I “upgraded” when I traded it in on my 2015 Ultra Limited in December of 2015. Nope. It’s a lot more cramped and I like the fixed fairing much better. I’ll trade up and out of it when I can. Ride safe.

I’ve always had Ultra Limited’s for the same reasons until I rode a 2020 Road Glide Limited. That ride made me switch. I like the fixed faring better and the extra space I get from the faring out front a little more. I feel like it also handles better on the interstate too.

Been riding all my life metrics you name them. My Ultra limited has become my keeper bike, well I'm in my 60's, its the comfort, the Iconic look and feel and my wife loves that rear seat, the tunes etc etc etc, nothing in the market compares to the Ultra. We do seriously long haul rides here in Australia. You need to ride one to understand the real benefits of the Ultra. The shark nose may be the flavour of the month at the moment but do you see HD doing a retro version of it in say 25 years? as for the 5-10% stability at high speeds, I kind of think that's for those who haven't ridden bikes for years ;o)

I personally think that the Ultra limited is the best looking bike. I share with you the buffeting issue. It has tormented me for the past 5 years since I bought my 2015 . I installed a couple of Long Ride Shields that helped a little.. I just ordered a 10.5 inch Kockwerks and am hoping that this will eliminate my buffeting which is bad at 55 MPH + .. Enjoy your Ultra.. it is beautiful and in my humble opinion is an Iconic HD bike much more than the Road Glide which is too modern and more like a Kawaski racing bike.. enjoy the wind and ride safe my friend..

Try the Memphis shades windshield. I put one on my 17 ultra . made all the difference for me and my passenger. Good luck getting one though as they are sold out!
