@@fike301 wrong. You get a tundra for about 12k to 15k less even on the top trim levels of other trucks. And reliability is based off consumers and owners of the vehicle. The fact of the matter is you will be able to get hundreds of thousands of more miles with far less maintenance than competitors. Especially since those competitors have hundred of more recalls on their recall list then toyota as far as the tundra ever has

I have a 2016 Tundra platinum and people say the interior is old, outdated in comparison to the competition, but at least my tundra will always have amazing reliability and I actually like the fact that the inside is simple and it doesn't have a tone of technology because when that breaks (and it will break) it will be super expensive! Just imagine your volume touch screen button stops working, you will be paying thousands of dollars to change the entire infotainment system such as the Ram. Instead, I rather have a knob and buttons on my infotainment. Old and outdated sure, but why change something that it isn't broken.

Why is it that all reviewers never mention the best part of the Tundra.... Its not about 10 speed transmissions, gas mileage and cheesy electronic features. The big point is that this truck can easily go past 200,000 miles for almost any owner, and you wont ever see that with an american brand. Next time spend more time on the reliability of the truck.....the most valuable spec on the Tundra, and why they sell.

The 430 rear end is probably more responsible for the poor mileage than the 6 speed transmission. It is great for towing. Would you rather have a truck that will last virtually forever with minimal breakdowns or spend more time playing with bells and whistles as well as in the shop? Are there any eco boost f150s out there with a million miles on there original engine and transmission?

@@idontcaresapo8233 I get a lot of people asking or my opinion on what the best truck is. I don't have an answer, everyone has different needs, wants, likes, and experience. All of them can last forever, all of them can have lots of problems. Buy what you like, know, need and ultimately enjoy the most. Generally if you take care of it, fix problems as soon as they appear and do proper maintenance then any truck will last a very long time. Also my opinion can only be based on how each vehicle performs when new, I haven't owned each of them for 5-10 years, but rather spent a week in brand new ones.

I think you did a great review-thanks. I have forty years of truck experience like many here. My last three have been F350's. Actually I am considering a 1794 now. Why? It is a steal. Local dealer is taking $7K off without any negotiation. Seriously though I am so tired of the dated BS. as well as the Apple bs. play and all of that nonsense. Same for soft touch. Stay at home if you want luxury. The joke is your truck is most likely more luxurious than your home digs...lol. When you get Honda and Toyota making trucks the cheapskates that moved up from 4 banger econo boxes moan and groan about mpg's. Its a dang truck for god sake. Then you get the bozos who lift it with huge tires and they moan and complain. I'm also tired of the Toyota reliability............ We worked our American iron to death and in the morning the workers ran out to claim the new trucks for the day. New to them was any truck with less than 200K miles on them. We junked the trucks usually because of several accidents. All were highly abused. If you see the way people treat their trucks it is a wonder than get any mpg's or life out of them... Rant over....... thanks! PS. If you want a soccer mom truck get a F150 and pay as much for it as a F250-350................

Intrior is a little out dated but this 1794 interior is horrible in my opinion. I’d rather have the black interior in cloth/leather. It seems that some of the trim don’t match the leather very well in the 1794. Also gas mileage who gives a shit hahaha your getting 4.30 gears In a 4x4 truck. Ford, Chevy, and ram don’t offer that. Unless you get the ram 2500 6.4 hemi that come with 4.10 gears. We all get trucks that suit owner needs. And if you’re going to complain about the truck not being luxury enough, this truck sucks up a lot of gas, and this and that then the tundra isn’t for you.

Toyota fanboy here! I don’t buy a truck for tech... I buy it for how it performs and how it functions and how little it has to be in the shop. So if you’re a Fanboy of any of the other 3, then you would have no clue what I’m talking about... and please keep it that way. And by the way, I’ll be sure to beep and wave as I go by while you’re waiting on the wrecker!!! One more point... you stated that there are way nicer options available at the same price. If you’re looking for “nice looking” maybe it’s time you step into a luxury car... cause after all, tech is where is it’s at! 😂
