    Do you know who manufactures the window rain guards/deflectors? I purchased a 2021 Prius Prime Limited; I requested to have the rain guards installed but was told Toyota does not make them for my vehicle. The dealership offered the Weather Tech brand but said they were only available for the front windows. I went to another dealership in a different state but was told they only have the AVS brand. Unfortunately, the AVS branded covers do not provide edge to edge window coverage. The covers installed on your demo car fits according to my expectations. Thanks in advance for your response!

    At 21:30, Engine braking: I thought the wear on brake pads is greatly mitigated by the regenerative braking of hybrid/electric systems. If that's the case here too, engine braking, B on the shifter, would be automatic regen-braking while going downhill.

    Yes, b-mode uses both electrical motors for regeneration and braking.

    How long would you safely recommend keeping the gas in the tank? I would imagine myself driving almost exclusively on EV and worried about the fuel "going bad"? Will the computer let you know before that happens and will it force hybrid mode to prevent this automatically?

    Just bought a 2021. I was told if you don’t use a tank up in a year then the car will exclusively use the gas engine to use up the fuel

    Does it have dual climate controls? I saw the temperature adjustment on the driver’s side. Also, does an iPhone have to be plugged in in order to use Apple CarPlay? Or is it available via Bluetooth? Thank you for a great walk around. I’m strongly considering one of these.

    Does charging it raise your home electric costs a lot?

  • @2148aa

    @2148aa

    3 жыл бұрын

    4 miles per kilowatt. Let say a cost of $0.10 kilowatt- electric cost comes out at $0.025 a mile. I'm guessing everything cheap. So you drive 40 miles on electric you have used 10 kilowatts or $1.00 worth of electricity and plug it into your wall outlet charging 1500 watts per hour (1.5 kilowatt or $0.15 an hour). It will take 6.5 hours to charge the car for the 40 miles you drove. Real world figure 30% to 50% increase in cost. Figure it will take 10% more electricity to charge your car then your car says it has used. Yes even electricity shrinks.
