Outstanding performance, the ultimate driving dynamics, expressive design - the new CLA 45 S 4matic+. He seamlessly continue the success story of their predecessors, while setting numerous new standards. Available in two output and torque variants, the completely newly developed 2.0-litre engine is the world's most powerful turbocharged four-cylinder engine in manufactured for series production. Even the basic model with 285 kW (387 hp) is more powerful than its predecessor. The S-variant with 310 kW (421 hp) jostles with considerably higher vehicle classes. Perfect sequences in all driving situations, and fast gearshifts measured in milliseconds, are guaranteed by the new AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT-8G dual-clutch transmission with eight gears. The active, fully-variable AMG Performance 4matic+ all-wheel drive distributes the power to the rear axle wheel-selectively by AMG TORQUE CONTROL - for top traction and the spectacular Drift mode. This is made possible by a new rear axle differential featuring two multidisc clutches - one for each rear wheel.
The new Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4matic+ is even more distinctive than its predecessor. The exterior conveys sheer driving pleasure even at standstill. For the first time, the compact class now also features the AMG-specific radiator grille with a wider lower contour and twelve vertical louvres - as a clear indicator of AMG Performance family membership. At the same time, the pronounced "shark nose", the slim, deeply contoured headlamps and the flat, aerodynamically favourable bonnet with powerdomes visually lower the front section to create the impression of extremely dynamic forward thrust.
AMG Aerodynamic package for optimised aerodynamic balance, included a modified front splitter and additional flics on the front apron, an additional diffuser blade, side spoiler lips on the rear apron and larger spoiler lip in high-gloss black. These features increase the downforce, and therefore handling stability at the physical limits.
The S-models are equipped with 19-inch light alloy wheels in a 5-twin-spoke design - with a width of nine inches for the CLA 45 S 4matic+. The attractive aluminium rims are aerodynamically optimised and painted in tantalum grey with a high-sheen finish, and shod with tyres in size 255/35 R 19. red-painted 6-piston brake callipers with black AMG lettering. Black chromed exhaust tailpipes.
The new compact sportscars absolve the sprint from zero to 100 km/h in record time: the CLA 45 es 4matic+ requires only 4 seconds, while the basic CLA 45 4 matic+ model absolves this discipline in 4.1 seconds.

Because you have to remap the Engine. A new Exhaust makes it louder but this misfires by gear changing and by coasting comes from extra injection of Gasolin

old for the sound and for the limousine back style and the coupé line. Just the best car !!!
The old one has a way better exhaust sounds.
The new CLA is way better but it needs a new, more aggressive sport exhuast.

2 Facts: The old one is louder and have the better exhaust sound The new one is faster than the old one. Personally i would chose definitly the old one.

Watching the current value/depreciation of a CLA 45 2017 amg, if it is reversed eliminating mileage and use, it would be almost 1.4 times more valuable than a high end 2023 CLA 45s AMG.
the new sounds like a vacuum cleaner!

THE OLD ONE IS MORE CHEAPER TO FIX AND EASY TO WORK ON ! THE NEW ONE ISWAY MORE DIFFICULT BECAUSE OF THE 4MATIC + AND THE TURBO NOW IS IN THE BACK OF THE ENGINE LETS SEE HOW ITS GOING TO NOT OVERHEAT THE INTERIOR MORE OR NOT GET STRIGHT AIR TO COOL IT DOWN THE GRILL IS NICE BUT THE OLD REAR IS MUCH COOLER ALSO 70k HERE IN THE US CAN MAKE YOU BUY A 2019 E43 AND C63 I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THE PRICE IS CRAZY MAYBE THE INTERIOR BECAUSE THE OLD CLA INTERIOR IS NOT THE BEST OR MAYBE I DO LIKE IT CAUSE LIGHTS ARE NOT ALL OVER YOUR EYES AND TECH IS LOT PRESENTED GIVE ME YOUR THOUGHTS

actually the old it's prettier than the new..
look and engine the new cla 45s but sound the old c117 cla45 :) thats why i drive byself a c117 cla 45 amg 2016 as daily car :)

@@OA-nc2fc performance, handling, brakes, etc are very good and I’d definitely take it over any of its direct competitors from other brands. If you’re looking for even more performance theres also the a45/s
basically if you care only about exhaust sound, get the old one, for everything else get the new one

Anyone who says old is crazy. The performance on the new one is 10x better. With a down pipe the exhaust will be fixed. Not to mention it’s far better looking

The older CLA was awkward looking. Newer one clearly wins in the looks department and it looks more aggressive. Don't even get me started with new exhaust systems and their underwhelming "sporty" sounds on the MB AMG's.

As an owner of a white 2014 and based on the constant compliments and stares I receive, I'd say the public opinion is overwhelmingly in favor of the body styling of the old (and I'm guessing the new too)

Add an exhaust to the new one and it’s golden. Older body style just never settled with me. Looks cheap. Just one persons opinion 🤷🏽. Wow late bout to pull the trigger on a 21 doge to the moon
