Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Toyota hybrid, Honda has very hard seats and I see AWD is very basic. But in my country I would not consider any of those, as NONE has any active safety features, Only subary and Kia offers that, that is why and due to better AWD I chose Subaru, actually I have a Forester and a Crosstrek

I think you are the ONLY reviewer that actually dives into the driving-assist features... there are so many different versions of "Lane Keep" (Lane Centering, Lane Assist, Lane-watch, Lane-whatever) so covering nuances on how the systems behave is really helpful. Thanks!

Our 2019 CR-V is our fourth one. We live in N. Central MT and get 100" of snow annually. We install BLIZZAK tires for the Winter and it's amazing how much snow the CR-V can easily negotiate. Solid, reliable vehicles.

Someone I know traded her 2016 CR-V for a 2021 RAV4 Hybrid... and after driving the RAV4 for less than 250 miles, she traded it for a 2021 CR-V Hybrid. The RAV4 kept slipping on her steep paved driveway and she was terrified that she might go right off the road. She bought the best tires available for the RAV4, and it didn't help. She took a 2021 CRV Hybrid for a test drive up and down the driveway multiple times, and it never slipped once. She loves the CRV and feels way safer in it now.

These Honda tests should be done with the VSA turned off. I got my 2017 almost buried in fine sand at the beach with VSA on. Backed up the car a little bit, turned off VSA and the CR-V easily powered through a sand beam that had many cars stuck. And my 2017 is not even an AWD. VSA matters that much. Otherwise, the engine and torque band will never open up. You will also want to turn off the ECO mode. It lets the turbo kick in to provide full power to the engine instead of just being used to achieve fuel efficiency. I routinely blast up hills like the ones shown with my 8 inches of ground clearance - obviously avoiding the largest ruts - but with no problem. Manufacturers put different settings on a vehicle for a reason and set properly they will accomplish more than shown in this video.

Keep up what you're doing, Ryan. As for what I would get in the compact crossover category, it would still be a Subaru Forester (because I actually use the off-road capability like you do in your tests), but just like the rest of modern cars with with a CVT, I would have to get a transmission cooler as well as OBD2 reader just to make sure the transmission doesn't overheat. Upgraded brake pads too, because going down a very long incline on gravel as your brake pads overheat is not a fun time.

I have a 2019 RAV4 XSE. A wonderful car. I travelled so far, 40,200 miles in it. It's not a hybrid, but it gets 32 mpg average, and is excellent all around. No problems. But I have not tried it in the mountain off-road conditions though, and we have had only limited amount of snow here in Northern New Mexico, and there is some road noise as the tires hits pot holes and drives on rough dirt roads and badly paved roads which there are a lot of in Northern New Mexico. Now I am thinking of getting the 2022 RAV4 Limited Hybrid, but I was also thinking of the 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring. The CR-V is prettier in the interior, and has a classic outside look. But the RAV4 has a pretty, basic and rugged look from the inside, with a faster looking rugged exterior. I've heard good things about the 2022 Honda CR-V Touring Hybrid. I think both are good cars. But the 2022 Honda CR-V Touring Hybrid is a little slower, getting 38 mpg average, compared to the RAV4 Hybrid, which gets 40 mpg average. I think, overall, I would prefer the 2022 Toyota RAV4 Limited Hybrid, because it seems like a slightly better overall car. But each are good overall. Concerning this video going up the rocky mountain path, these cars were not made for that. I think it would be better to buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited which will handle this path better. I use to own a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (an SUV) which I drove in off-road conditions (making my road through sandy country with small cactus, making my road through sage brush country with small cactus, driving through muddy dirt country with small cactus) and the Jeep Grand Cherokee handled well. It was a beautiful car for its day. I had it for 22 years and travelled over 500,000 miles in it. I bought it for $39,000 in 1999, and I sold it in 2021 for $1,500 after 22 years of use. But today, a new Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited is much more expensive than the Toyota RAV4 Limited or the Honda CR-V Touring, and I think overall, the quality and reliability is not with the current Jeep Grand Cherokees anymore. Today, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited is not a good buy, but the Toyota RAV4 Limited Hybrid and the Honda CR-V Touring Hybrid are. Quality and reliability is with Lexus, Mazda, Toyota and Honda cars today, but not with America cars (Ford, Chevrolet, GMC), BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or Range-Rovers.

i do not know about the CRV but in a RAV4 Hybrid everything except the heating is electric. How long? well this depends on the charge in the hybrid battery. My RAV4 with 3/4 charge does about 20 -25 minutes and then turns on the gas engine for about 2-3 minutes für another 20 minutes of silent cooling. Well, actually it is when the temp ist very high rather loud but this would be the case for all ac when heavily used

For the standard CR-C Honda has said the system distributes power in a 50/50 split from stop until it gets rolling, so is it an issue of being in Sport mode, different hybrid torque distribution, Honda lying or a poor test? Also, the Honda’s system can either deliver power from the electric system or the engine at one time, but it cannot do both, like you mentioned around 12:00.

Driving Sports TV Honda has said that the new system delivers up to 50% more torque to the rear than the previous version. Given that the previous version provided up to 40% of torque to the rear, it stands to reason this one provides up to 60% to the rear. I also don’t think you understand what “parallel” and “series” hybrid drives are. The CR-V works in both: it works as a parallel system because it can run off of the electric drive or the ICE drive (but never both), as the ICE engine is disconnected from the drive system via a clutch most of the time. The ICE engine works to charge the battery at those times. In that sense, it works as a series system - an engine powering an electric motor that powers the drive. When the car reaches highway speeds, it switches to the ICE engine only (final and only gear) as in a parallel system. That’s more efficient at steady highway speeds than a series hybrid. So you see, it does work in those two fashions, but the electric and ICE engines never power the drive at the same time, unlike in Toyotas and most other cars. That’s how this avoids a transmission: electric drives don’t need them and ICE only powers at a certain speed, with a direct drive gear.

George L, the regular AWD system in the gasoline CR-V is approximately 60/40 split max. This was a significant point discussion on the CR-V forums until I found out the actual releases from Honda. The previous system was a max 25% to the rear wheels. When Honda says they increased it 50% they're hoping people read that as rear TQ is max 50%, but reality is that 50% of 25% is 12.5%, so they increased max rear TQ to 37.5%. I rounded it to 40%, that's the math. That explains why Ryan got max TQ on the display, but little to no wheel spin on the gravel acceleration test.

I personally have 4 Subarus in operation in my family, the newest a 2019 Forester. While it's a fantastic car, Subaru reliability is always a drawback to the Subies.
