The fatal flaw of tech. I keep being told how everything will be so radically different, and we won't even recognize people in 20 years. Blah blah blah. There are so many fatal flaws, so many (like this one) changes that seem to be intentional thumbs in you eye, such a lack of reliability/stability. I mean, someone had to do this on purpose, or they never beta tested the change. Either way suggests to me that this show is run by clowns. Don't trust the snakeoil salesmen. Tech is not gaining in value as fast as it used to. Don't forget how to work with your hands.

I love the quality of these VoDs. Tastosis on point as usual.

Terran is not OP, Maru is! Clearly Maru is on a different level in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. You can see how Maru will try to safe every units, even the widow mine! And the reaper bomb was time so accurately in the last game. Maru is like a python. He’ll slowly squeeze every advantage and without you realising, maru just snowball the whole game. Oh my, He is so f**king good!

I do think Terran's ability to harass is on the strong side. The only window for Protoss to win is in the midgame with colossus/immortal timing push, but the early-game harassment is so strong it makes Protoss miss the timing due to economic losses. Mine drops are definitely on the strong side. Maru is an absolute beast at executing them though.

Love tasteless, his protoss bias is hilarious. @31:00 with Trap down 45 supply, "I'm worried for Maru, Trap has gotten himself into a strong position". Trap dies 90 seconds later.

It's cause Trap moved a lot of his adepts into the rocks choke point and got splashed down by mines and tanks. Would have been less of a loss if he kept directly ontop of infantry.

Exactly, the splash from the tanks would friendly kill the marines and cleaning tanks with adepts would be easy. Maru is just too good to make mistakes against.

1:03:31 Trap should've wait a bit longer before moving in, they got tank shots before shaded in.

Yeah, totally agree, could have been a pretty strong wipe on the marines if the adepts were full health, some were already in the red or even dead before they even landed on top of the tanks/marines

Little sad because I was hoping for Stats vs Trap finals. Not only would protoss finally win but since this win would be so long awaited, we could finally declare the one who won as the best protoss out there. Sure if Stats wins, he will be called that... but I would appriciate the direct confrontation instead. Moving on, as much as I hope for TY vs Maru finals, unless Stats drops the ball like he did in his first two matches against Inno, I don't think TY can win with the current balance patch against Stats.

Trap in the last game: I'm going to make the absolute worst units protoss have and ignore all the good units for the win.

trap should have used the phoenix build again. they punished maru so hard- killed medivacs, punished the mine drops mostly, kept maru in check, kept tabs on him all the time, etc.

Really disappointed in this result, I was hoping it would be Trap’s turn. Not to mention he was probably the best shot at a Protoss win. Don’t get me wrong, Stats is excellent, but he doesn’t feel quite as strong in the hierarchy of best Toss.

I know their teammates and all that but both of them look like they don't really "like" each other. When Maru beat byun during the previous series, Maru was showing sportsmanship and smiling and spending some time just talking. Here, it looked like he was just beating another opponent. I dunno.

Byun is actually like a big brother to Maru, and they are really close. Other than him, Maru has treated other guys the same way after the match.

Trap's build in game 4 doesn't make any sense to me, what's the point of going for this all in comp with a 3rd where you hit when they are much better equipped to face adepts. Relation between glaive adepts and stim bio is very snowbally, either you crush or get totally wrecked. And I feel it hits at the time it gets totally wrecked. Maybe something went wrong and it wasn't supposed to look like that.

I feel like trap handled them terribly though, he knows Maru and should know that he's going to do a lot of drops. Would it kill him to make a Cannon or two in his mineral lines? Even when he built Phoenix to counter the drops, they were constantly out of position.

Trap is a really good player, one of the best actually. Not sure if anybody notices, but his style is unpredictable and catches others by surprise. I hate to say this, but his biggest weakness is the fact that Protoss is just not as feasible as Zerg or Terran.

Protoss has 2 of the most devastating AOE ability in Psi-Storm and Disruptor shot, which can kill 20-30 worth of Terran supply in a flash. And yet they are still not feasible to you?

This is one of those truths that will always be ignored or rejected. Terran nowadays is disgustingly babysat by half a dozen buffed-up, static-defense units that, should the terran decide to spam, will easily cripple the opponent's economy long enough for their other OP, static-defense units to finish everything. Cyclone get the lock-on whose range is so ridiculously long, Tasteless even made jokes about it in the match. And they are fast like you wouldn't believe it. Coupled with their lock-on, it's simply auto-kiting for terrans (so difficult!!!!!). They have the siege tanks with their static-defense siege mode. They have the widow mines (which by the way Maru used to cheese all his three wins) and their absolutely bull**** AOE attack (I mean, why not hit just a single unit ? Does every single thing have to be OP in this race?). They have the liberator's zone attack that one-shots everything. They have the BC's fire-as-you-fly feature which means you don't even need to micro those enormous units. And why do they not consume energy for all those OP Yamato and teleports, by the way? Seriously? Just a 70s-ish cool down? On the other hand, what do the protoss get as a counter to all these? They get a couple of pretty-looking, glass cannons that need a crazy amount of micro just to start paying off. And they are ridiculously expensive. They have the colossi's AOE, sure, but seriously, it can't even one-shot an un-upgraded marine! And they take damage from air units for pity's sake! And for what? Because they are supposedly able to climb on cliffs!!! Wow, such a useful lifesaving ability for such a huge weakness. And they can't even target air units, because of course! One might argue that protoss get the disruptor to counter siege tanks. Yeah, unless, oh wait a second, even the disruptor's projectile needs to be microed! Imagine you could dodge a siege tank's shot in return. Also, 25-ish seconds cool down for a shot that is going to miss 85 % of the time? Basically, for every so-called advantage they give the protoss, they give back some REAL drawbacks in return, drawbacks that require the player to rely on crazy micro to make the units worth. These are just a couple of reasons why I despise terran match-ups with other races, because while the terrans can dictate the flow of combat by just spamming OP units and pretending mirco by just clicking on some op skill buttons, the other two races need to counter this by REAL micro, that is, actually maneuvering their units to pay off. Terran simply uses units to counter you, while you will have to use actual tactics to do the same. It's so imbalanced that, if you win as a terran, so what? The game WANTS you to win with all these buffs. And if you lose as a terran even with all these privileges, you have only yourself to blame.

Trap has beaten players like Reynolds before; he’s not some pushover to lose 3-1 like that if it were on even terms. And you didn’t have to attack me verbally just to make a point, so refrain from ad hominem remarks.
