Very commendable for people to cite vehicle concerns like maintenance, after-sales service, reliability, longevity, etc. :) Most of the time, in car reviews, we just focus on features, technology, looks, and engine power. Thank you to those who mentioned those concerns :) It will be nice for AutoDeal and other car reviewers to mention also the safety ratings of vehicles or if they have been tested or not (ex. ASEAN NCAP). Before anything else, our safety and the safety of our loved ones must also be considered in the purchase of vehicles. Incidentally, both the Geely Coolray and the MG ZS achieved 5-star safety ratings from the ASEAN NCAP :)

For the ZS you have to consider that the current design was still a 2017 model. It just shows how timeless the design is. And surely it can still compete with the new crossovers coming by. That’s how nice it is! And the facelift version is along the way and expected to already surpass 1m because of the goodies MG added to its already feature packed auto. And boy it is much more handsome. For the Coolray, ugh it’s just so nice and good. No awkward sillhouettes in all areas and every portion has attention to detail. Two problems are its engine is so thirsty and it has so much so much electronics which I think it can be overwhelming already and for sure will be replaceables come after 5 years. So Toyota Corolla Cross pa rin ba? Hahaha

Informative video! Which one would you recommend for new drivers/car owners? For reference, I've tried driving an Isuzu Alterra/Toyota Fortuner and didn't like how "heavy/bulky" it felt which is why I've decided to get either one of these 2 or a sedan (city/civic). I'm kinda leaning towards the coolray on this one but am worried that it might feel big when handling corners/driving on small roads in provinces. Thanks in advance! :)

@@cammac66 yes meron, Changan if you know that brand...pure chinese car manufacturer...with superb RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT group in UK...dont underestimate that brand...they are top 1 most reliable car in middle east....2nd is geely...chinese car today are more advance tech than japanese counterpart...iba na paningin ko ngayon sa chinese cars except lang sa changan,geely and chery medyo tiwala pa ko sa brand na yan kasi well known na yan sila sa ibang bansa..geely and chery ay kalat sa australia i already see that brand...e kung sa pinas ka lng talaga d mo kilala ang brand na yan...talagang bukang bibig natin ung japanese brand...pero kung tutuusin tinitipid ng japanese car maker ang pilipinas...kung d pumasok ang chinese car sa bansa natin nd mag lalabasan yang advance tech nila like toyota isuzu nissan it mitsubishi na in the 1st place nilalabas na nila yan sa ibang bansa...masyado outdated ang pilipinas...kaya tingnan mo pati ford nag labas ng territory pantapat sa coolray..hahahaha...kung tutuusin chinese made din ung territory..hahaha...pinoy talaga ..

there will be an upcoming model of Geely that is already launched in China. The Geely XingYue L or other name KX 11. I have seen it in Shanghai Auto show and once released in the Philippines will be a big blast that will blow every SUV owners. Check it out, it should be a nice info for viewers and/or find out if when will be coming out.

Do a BTW review of Kia Stonic please.

MG din ganun din yan China din pero mas tatagal manual transmission ng MG.

This isn't quite really a challenge for the Geely Coolray since first, the MG ZS since this Crossover Suv is lacking on safety features since it was manufactured in 2017. Second is the Tech, the MG ZS has obviously again, lacking the tech its using since it was built in the year 2017 unlike the Geely Coolray, it was built in the year 2019 we're the technology in that year is more high quality, so its not really a fight between these two in my opinion:>

Geely for features but i prefer manual so MG for me is better for long term use,but geely is better than MG here.

for the specs and price: i think you cant go wrong with either maintenance: idk yet.... any owners here of these cars? a feedback would be helpful i have asked someone with the 2019 MG, though, their MG is going 5 years now but no major issue yet...fuel-efficiency is good too. (daily-driven, lady-owned)

Coolray is way better and more future proof. They should pit it with the Territory and rhe upcoming Maxus D60 next. Tho I think the D60 is bigger and has 7 seats priced less than GCR

MG ZS my opinion. I will buy tomorrow! ))))

Geely coolray and Ford territory for a better comparison. I feel like it's a more fair fight. But probably wise to get a mitsubishi xpander cross rather. If in that kind of price range. Not to mention it is a 7 seater vehicle. Just saying. Anyways great video as always. Kudos to Caco then again.

Masyadong mahal ang expander cross at price 1.2m sa 105 hp 1.5 engine. Better na mag innova or isuzu max for better engine at 1.3m price. Kung trip mo luxury and good engine then go for geely okavango or cherry tigo 8.

Pero majority will pick mux and innova for 1.2m - 1.3m price kasi magagamit talaga ang 7 seats with great engine performance with great fuel consumption, really for value of money talaga over sa Xpander Cross na aesthetics lang. Kung aesthetics naman ang hanap, MG RX5 or Geely Okavango or Cherry Tigo 8 is a good choice with good engine at a same price difference yun nga lang, fuel consumption at reliability ang magiging concern.

Overall the ZS is just right and you also save 200k over the the top specd coolray.. I dont really and practically want to spend 200k more for a turbo engine when the avg speed of cars here in the metro is 10-20 kph due to the traffic.. plus, the ZS has a rock solid AISIN transmission and a Naturally Aspirated Engine which SHOULD make this car more reliable in the long run..

eh di bumili ka ng base variant ng coolray, kapantay lang ng mg, mas maganda pa ang makina.. even in metro manila, there's NLEX, SLEX and skyway. are you saying that we only consider to buy MG if we only average 20kph? but if we want to go faster, we should buy the coolray? thank you. nice advice, very subtle and sublime.

Natural aspirated engine was proven more reliable in the long run than a turbo charge engine. And power consistency wise, NA engines are better.

Hmmm, I guess what year is your Forester? Never driven a Forester before but I’ll just say Subaru is far ahead compared to Geely. In few years time tapos may mas napatunayan na ang Geely I guess it’ll be more logical to swap. Not to mention Forester is slightly bigger I think.

I guess kung bubuy ka pa lang ng car mas recommendable mag try ka ng new up and coming vehicles such as the Coolray pero if you have a car na tapos Subaru and if you’re happy with the performance then stick with it, patagalin mo muna sayo sir. I understand the dilemma tho, when it comes to style and looks ang tempting netong Coolray, haha!

This is like Xiaomi vs Huawei. It's really hard to beat the Coolray in tech and safety features, and also power. But, the price of MG ZS is enough to reel in customers.

I dont think so.. remember.. the avg speed here in Metro Manila is only about 10-20 kph due to the heavy traffic.. making the capable and thrifty engine of the ZS more than okay..
