Got my 2021 RST with the leather and sunroof as well. I went with the 5.3 because I didnt want to deal with the bigger engines premium fuel requirement. Went with the 8 speed after not liking the shifts of the ten speed on a trailboss I test drove. My biggest problem three years later? Finding spaces big enough to park in.

Over here in Houston for 30k + you get a plain Silverado custom no fog lights etc.. for 33+ you get a ram lone star with your choice of headlights

I bought one. The city mpg around here is more like 12. The leather seats had a nice touch but aren’t ventilated. I suppose the RAM has a smoother ride with the rear coils but the RST is pretty smooth for a truck. The front is not blackout it just happens to be because it is a black truck. It is body color.

With all the torque and horsepower that Ram and Ford has you would figure that Chevy would try to make there 5.3 match up with the competition

I see comments of folks saying they want the trail boss version. I'm just tired of seeing everyone having an LT model/badge displayed on their silverados. I like the LTZ models. But I definitely love the RST versions, just because there's not many of them on the road yet.

Was there supposed to be a ram somewhere in this video?

Good looking truck, but it doesn't look like you get much clearance with that front end.

Chevy should upgrade the Silverado interior to look like the new Tahoe. Ram outdid them mainly because Chevy failed to put more effort into interior design.

I like the look of the exterior and then I looked inside. Ended up with a 19 black ZR2. The Colorado has a nicer interior even though it’s not spectacular. Still needs to be upgraded but by far a more equipped truck for the money. $39k

S C I WOULD NOT BUY A 5.3, ESPECIALLY WITH THE 8 SPEED TRANS, THE 6.2 IS A MUCH BETTER ENGINE AND WILL GET THE SAME FUEL MILEAGE BECAUSE OF THE AFM SYSTEM.

Love the exterior but that interior is so outdated.. can’t wait to see what the 22 has in store

I’ve owned Rams , Tundras and F150. Tundra is the best built built truck, best ergonomics. Yes it’s old design and outdated but it’s still more reliable. Dodge Ram was the worst truck (13 ram 1500). It had the Lowest payload and for whatever reason the gas pedal and brake petal were really far apart. One pushed forward and the other pulled back so you had to constantly lift your leg to brake while in traffic. Terrible ergonomics

New one is junk, they don't even have the same level of craftsmanship as the older Silverado. So how can it even come close to the Ram, especially since Ram got better this yr and Chevy took a step back.

Im a ford guy but I've seen plenty of Rams run well over 200k. I just choose not to dick ride and I give respect where it's due. Even if Chevs did last the longest, I'd fucking shoot myself if I had to deal with those garbage seats and shitty ergonomics for over 200k. No thanks. Plus the standard 5.3 is a gutless pile of junk. Zero balls, feels slower than a Civic. Who in the right mind is gonna spend their hard earned money on a truck that downgraded from previous generations while other manufacturers actually improved?

@@vee6411 I beg to differ..I bought a used 2016 LT. with just 45k miles and it had poor body lines that were misaligned...interior rattles...paint corrosion....etc. I traded it in after just 3 months for the 2020 RST/Z71 and its awesome. You're typical of a bias against Chevy today. That doesn't mean they're garbage. Maybe you can't afford a good truck.

I have a ram 1500 5.7, it’s been a nice truck but there is just so many issues with the 5.7 in general.. noisy and failing lifters/cam, cracking exhaust manifolds and broken studs, and the awful air ride suspension troubles just out of warranty. FCA needs to just admit to, and offer a massive recall and just fix people’s suspension troubles. It seems to make it ok just to the point of warranty ending. They focused on the interior and tech, and it is nice, but just hope you don’t have the engine or air ride issues. My ZF 8 speed has a growl/vibration right before the shift point of 2-4 gears. Dealer can’t track it down so I’m just living with it as it’s not getting any better or worse. But still very troubling. Even though I like my ram I prob won’t get another.

So when do you talk about the Ram?

I took it in twice for a clunking noise every time I put it into gear. And another time I going down the road the rpms would go nuttz on me down a straight road not even putting my foot on the gas to make it do that. My last thing that just happened my truck leaks water. No cracks in back window or the break light.

@@damitbobby6677 The leak is probably the gasket seal around the brake light behind the cab. Mine did that it was fixed under recall.

FYI all 2020 have the 10speed. You should do some homework.

Ya they sure do make them fiat rams look nice but they must be putting them fiat electronics in them to cause it sucks

since this comes with a 6.2L the Silverado RST wins hands down. if they put the 6.4L in the Ram 1500 then the Ram wins it going away every time. Chrysler Fiat will never do that because it makes too much sense. GM does this yet doesn't update their product and makes them super ugly. When Ram gets some sense and adds the 6.4L then its a no brainer.

justtony21 I UNDERSTAND, IT WOULD BE A NICE SETUP IF GM OFFERED THE 6.2L IN THE RST TWO WHEEL DRIVE.

OLD video, BUT, there is no way you can compare a Big Horn RAM 4x4 to the Chevy 1500 RST as far as ride quality. That off-road package on the RST gives the bumpiest, harshest ride or any truck I've ever driven (thanks Rancho). Hard to compare a leaf spring suspension with a coil suspension. In terms of interior quality, RAM wins. Admittedly, the RST does have a nice exterior appearance.

I have the 2019 ram big horn night edition. Had Chevy .Ram outdid themselves . Go with the Ram .

Once I heard "16 miles to the gallon", I lost interest lol... this new exterior design isn't attractive at all. What the hell is Premium Cloth!?? Come on now, $54k for cloth!! They trippin!!

If you are concerned about gas mileage in a truck, get a prius. If you want a less expensive version of the RST, get the LT
