Mobile Mechanic Pro Tip: Buy the small and large moving blanket from Harbor Freight. Adhesive glue tarps over each blanket and cut tarp to size. The wind will be less of an issue, and it will be more comfortable laying on it. Each one lasts quite awhile and is cheap. Works wonders here in Colorado Springs with snow, rain etc.

Thank you! Editing is the hardest part! It takes hours to make just a 20-30 min video. I’m currently using open shot to edit but open to hearing suggestions on what everyone else uses. It’s the fastest one I’ve used so far. Also interested in finding out what program everyone is using to make the cool thumbnails that stand out.
So far I've seen 2 episodes of your show man! Someday my buddy & I will do our mobile mechanic on call here in the Philippines. It's convenient for customers to service their car at the comfort of their own home. And we can save on overhead costs of owning a shop, too. Thanks for showing man!

Hopefully we can collaborate and share stories. Even tips and tricks. Thanks for this channel. People have no idea how challenging being a mobile mechanic is when your in direct sunlight and have no lift. Also you have to make all the calls, pay all the bills, do all the paperwork, and deal with broken bolts without shop tools. It’s a fun life!

That pulley ringing like ding ding it’s on ! As a retired mechanic/electromechanical tech I like watching other guys go after it and see the different styles. It’s funny but sometimes you have to go slow so the customer doesn’t feel ripped off. I’ve had them say well I could have done that? Yeh after properly diagnosing, the problem lol anybody can be a parts hanger. Keep us posted brother ✌️🇺🇸

Man that pulley kept ringing most of it got edit out 🤣 it’s awesome to get feedback from someone retired who worked in the industry and knows the struggle sometimes. I’ve had a couple customers say the same thing then I look over and ask ok where’s your tools and it’s always “ummmm I’d go buy some”. Most customers understand why the price is set where it is but there is that one customer that just wants to argue. I appreciate the comment and thank you for watching!

@@franks2524 power tools are a must have these days. All labor guides include them in the time of a job. Most repairs cannot be done in the time the guides call for with basic hand tools. Also, it is wrong to charge by the actual hours worked vs. the labor guides. This is where many shops rip their customers off. They will charge full shop hours for a brake job then when adding a rotor or caliper they will charge full shop hours for each individual job instead of adding the partial. But I will tell you, my power tools were the best investment I have ever made. When starting out I made the mistake (eager) of buying all of my tools from the snapon truck. They are quality but I could have save so much money to put into more specialty kits and diag equipment. Once you spend tens of thousands on tools you eventually learn what was actuall a good investment and what would have been smarter.

Yeah that's a good signage man! Very pro looking, so onlookers in the neighborhood will know that you're a pro mechanic, who is licensed & insured, too. Looks more legit! That was funny, you're trying to load it up in the back of your truck! Well, it's heavy enough that it didn't fly out when you got home. Maybe some organizing & cleaning up a bit in the back of your truck after each vehicle service. Do a video of it about how you organize your tools & stuff to get the job done. So we know what you carry with you anywhere you go for your auto mobile services.

Only place available for the water pump. Oreilly, Napa, and Autozone said they would have to call the supplier and see if they could even get one. Even if they could it would have been 1-2 weeks at the earliest. Dealership had it in stock and the dealer is 5 mins from the customers house. It was honestly the only way to get the customer back on the road in a reasonable amount of time.

@QualityMobileAutomotive

I definitely service a lot of vehicles and over the past 14 years in the automotive industry using all kinds of different products I personally on all my vehicles use valvoline maxlife (red bottle) or valvoline synthetic (grey bottle) for oil changes along with mobile 1 oil filters. Some customers would rather have a cheaper oil change and that’s ok as long as you change your oil and filter more frequently. I use PB Blaster like it’s going out of style on any stuck bolt (it works really good if you leave it overnight on a bolt that is really stuck). I use permatex products for rtv, dielectric grease, and brake grease. I use generic coolant from the auto parts stores. I haven’t had an issue yet as long as you have it correctly mixed and you use the correct color/type. Crc makes a good electrical contact cleaner. I use fast orange to clean my hands it works very well and you don’t need water to rinse although it works better if you do. I use NOCO battery terminal cleaner and protectants as they are awesome products and work very well. I use stp hi temp grease for anything that needs grease. I live in Hemet,CA and service the surrounding cities within a 40-50 mile radius. Any other questions feel free to ask and I will answer the best I can. I might make a short video showing my fluids/supplies I keep on the truck if you’re interested.

I am a DIY guy, do all of my own vehicle repairs and modifications and find it intriguing watching other mechanics fix / repair vehicles. Kind of compare notes/skill sets and methods. So, I know well the PB Blaster to combat corrosion/rust and that it works. Damn RUST BELT! Look forward to more of your videos. Liked and Subscribed.
