    Great video, to check oil you should not screw the dip stick in, just let it in and make sure level is between the marks (6. Insert the dipstick back into the dipstick hole, make the dipstick threads contact the hole surface without screwing it) as per manual

    Watching your videos convinced me to get a CFMOTO CFORCE 600 in March. Haven't ridden it much, but have plowed snow with it a few times. So far so good. I have a question for you that I cannot find an answer for anywhere. There is a clear drain tube that curves up between the oil filter housing and the oil dipstick. It connects to a drain nipple from underneath and forward of the oil filter housing. There is a small amount of oil in it at the bend. Is this normal and what is the purpose? Not sure you will know the answer, but thought i would ask. Thanks and keep the videos coming.

    Hey Blake, I appreciate the videos on Cforces! You have helped me decide on a new 2020 cforce 600 touring. Q: There's a clear tube with coolant in it right under the filter housing . It looks like it's coming out of the bottom of the housing then loops up in a bracket next to the oil dipstick then stops (like breather tube) . Do you have that on your 600, or do you know what it is? Thanks James

    After you filled the new oil, you measured a (too high) oil level by screwing the dipstick all the way in. That is the incorrect procedure. Only INSERT the dipstick DO Not screw in all the way. (BTW - some manufacturers require the dipsticks to be screwed in to check the level! Just not CF Moto) See from 2019 User Guide below (p100) MAINTENANCE & LUBRICATION Maintenance Procedures Engine oil Always check and change the engine oil at the intervals outlined in the Maintenance Schedule. Engine oil check 1. Place the ATV on a level surface. 2. Start the engine and let it idle for 20~30 seconds. Stop the engine. 3. Wait a short period for the oil to settle. 4. Remove access cover 1 by grasping the lower left portion and pulling firmly. 5. Unscrew the oil dipstick 2 out and wipe off with a clean cloth. 6. Insert the dipstick into the oil filler hole. Do not reinstall it. 7. Remove the dipstick again and check the oil level indication. Maintain the oil level between the upper and lower indicators. 8. Reinstall the dipstick into the oil filler hole, hand-tighten it, and reinstall the access cover. NOTE Access cover grommets may come loose. Ensure they are in place before reinstalling the cover.

    You can try using a flexible cutting mat to put under the filter housing to get the oil out away from the floor boards. You can get them really cheap at most anywhere that has kitchen stuff. They're less than $5 dollars at Walmart for a three pack.

To me it seems liek 20 hours is a little high when it comes to a breakin oil change.

    Jay if you cant get the grit out by getting the water hose to shoot water through to the pads and disc and roll the atv back and forth while doing that, then the best way and only correct way is to remove the wheels and even take the pads off and clean them from time to time. This is a problem that all offroad riders face no matter the brand of their atv or sxs.. I hope that helps bro

The only thing ive ever had to adjust the valves on was a old craftsman mower i put a ton of hours on growing up. So knock on wood, i havent had any issues so far and i have a ton of riding buddies who have also had many different machines and never got the valves adjusted. Ive asked shops before about that issue and they say they rarely ever have one that they check that they actually have to adjust the valves on it. So yes it is in your manual to have that done. Yes the manufacture recommends that it gets checked by your dealer. SO here is what im going to do.. Im going to talk to my shop next week and ask them what they recommended and see if they will let me video them checking the valves and show us how to adjust them. But even then, I am not going to touch mine until i notice it not running just right.

    Hello All, I just picked up my second CFMoto. This one is a 2020 600. I just found out that this unit I bought has DRL’ s (Daylight Running Lights) that cannot be turned off, they run all the time. I need to know a fix for this. I believe that the unit I purchased was most likely made for Canada as they require DRL’s. Please lead me to success as these DRL’s are driving me nuts!

    Yes they are LEDs that run all the time... May i ask why it is driving you nuts that they are on? Personally i think they look awesome and they dont pull any current due to being LED...

    Real Talk Powersports - I use it for work, we use them for pleasure and work. I am. Security Officer in housing projects and it’s hard to to make moves at night when everyone can track me. Furthermore, not being able to have complete control of my vehicles functions just gets me wrong. ** Also I would like to clarify, they’re not DRL’s as they do not run during the daylight, they automatically turn on when it gets dark. So there must be a photocell somewhere in the unit.

    Yea the CVT is designed to engage at a certain RPM above idle.

  • @ltjlant

    @ltjlant

    Think of it being a low rpm stall converter. Even though it’s a belt, it progressively accelerates. These transmissions are bullet proof. I believe CVT has the patent for it, thus the Chinese have to use it to stay competitive. I just love these wheeler frames. I bought a 2019 500s first and just bought the 2020 600. I followed the break-in instructions as recommended. The handling is unbelievable. I have made several traffic stops in the projects with these wheelers. We have been using Patrol Cars and trucks forever and when a prep evades us by going thru man gates, it really can discourage you and the days of me getting in foot chases are long gone. So, I have been thinking for a long time about getting a wheeler as many of my man have (If we want to use a wheeler, it’s at our own expense). I was going to buy the 800 V-Twin but it is too bulky for the environment and won’t fix thru the man gates, the 500s fits great and the 600 barely fits but I can make up time with the sweet acceleration. It not as fast as my sleds but you can ride a sled in the summer!!!

    What oil filter did you use ? Can you put these parts on the description.. you know instead of answering everyone's same questions .. just a heads up .since cfmoto is expanding .and your channel is going to be more views. .. .. please provide me with oil filter number. Thanks for all your doing man.. God bless . Ps. I just talked to the dealer guy . He said I once its broken in .I need to replace all the fluids . Like differential, transmission and engine? Is this true. .? I know engine for sure. But never heard about the other fluids being replaced after broken in.

    Yea thats what they suggest/recommend.. but I think its over kill and cost a lot of money.. for sure the engine oil and filter.. and once a year I'd change all the other fluids unless you do a ton of riding or a lot of mud riding.

    I am very satisfied as well. The ride is more gentle on the 600 than the 500s while the 600 is built stronger. Don’t get me wrong, the 500s is bad to the bone AWESOME! I really didn’t think that the 600 could top it and it did! Just make sure when you pick it up, a lot of the dealers won’t bolt the front splash guard in on 500s. Make sure they do it, my dealership advised me that CFMoto didn’t send the bolts so it was their fault. I told them what does 2 damn bolts cost. I’m forced to goto a dealer due to there not being another one close.
