    Hey bro great video I love it! Now question I notice a difference between the base model (silver) and M package s1000rr cold start with full system. The base sounds normal with idle. The M packages sound like it hesitating. Now is it because of the mapping between thos two bikes?

  • @supersportsanthony

    @supersportsanthony

    4 жыл бұрын

    Thanks man I appreciate it! The mapping between the bikes are identical. At best the differences you're hearing is the bikes adapting to the new exhausts and back pressure differences. The shorty exhausts always seem to take a little longer to adapt, maybe as they are the most drastic change from a stock exhaust. Thanks for watching!

    Awesome video, I just bought the carbon fiber akrapovic slip on exhaust with a servo connector. I have rear pegs will I need to buy the bracket or will it connect to my back peg? Second question when I’m ready to upgrade the full system is any tuning needed or will my bike correct the ratio it’s self?

    You will need to get your ECM flashed and possibly dynoed as well to get the fuel tables correct. Might be able to get by with just a flash if you send it to the right person.

    Hey man these bikes come with a 3year manufacturer warranty and I've not had any problems with mine but my buddy did have a hair line crack only on his rear wheel and your not going to believe what BMW did when he took it in to get checked. We didn't even unload the bike off my trailer. The manager sent out the lead technician to take pictures and while the tech did that he pulled up the history on the bike so the tech could fill out the warranty paper work to order a brand new wheel. It took a little over a week to come in but the original rim was airtight, just surface blemish and we rode 3 of those days waiting for the new one. There's been no problems since then and you can't find a bike with a warranty that compares IMO. They back there products 100%. I really don't see any Named brand company not taking care of there customers but I can only speak on what I've personally seen and dealt with. You might even be able to switch to the forged M rims if that's what you want. The worst that could happen is they say no. Hope you find a bike man.

    @@MRR-qv3bw hi thanks for the reply! So I eventually did still buy the bike! BMW indeed replaced the back wheel. So we are all good now! However BMW did give us a bit of a hard time telling that it is not a structural defect. But after a bit of pushing they had to replace the wheel. So happy days!

    Are customers voiding their guarantee when opting for the full exhaust? I come from Denmark, and if i replace the exhaust with a full system, i loss all guarantee. Is this an importer decision or? And btw, cool vids an no fussing around :)

  • @supersportsanthony

    Hey Christian, thanks for watching! Here in the US, in order for something to void the warranty, we would have to prove that was what caused the failure of a component. So to answer your questions, no it doesn’t. However if I added a turbo, or some new pistons and the engine blew, the warranty would not cover the repair!

  • @supersportsanthony

    @supersportsanthony

    Exhaust sound is always a matter of opinion, what sounds good to me may not sound good to you, the shorty is very loud which I don't mind, but I feel the long is easier to live with and also offers an exceptional sound.

  • @supersportsanthony

    Target idle speed will be consistent with what the DME wants, a full exhaust won't harm idle speed. The DME will adjust fuel ratios to get to its target idle speed, regardless of exhaust setup.

    Short of altering the actual makeup of the engine, like with a different fuel setup or a turbo, the DME will be able to adapt to most modifications.
