2020 Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory Vs BMW S1000 RR M Sport Vs Honda Fireblade CBR1000RR-R SP - Shootout!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Welcome to Ultimate Sports Bike 2020 - the most thorough sports bike test on this planet (probably). We started off with nine of the very sports bikes, and after a gruelling test on road, track, and against the data, we've whittled down our selection to the final three.
So without further ado, enjoy the Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory, BMW S 1000 RR M Sport and Honda Fireblade CBR1000RR-R SP battle it out, against the stopwatch...

    I have ridden the S1000RR, own a 2019 Factory 1100 and bought the first RR-R SP to be delivered in the United States. I think the new Honda is really quite good! Been on track with it twice in the last 3 weeks and doing expert-level club racing competitive lap times on a STOCK bike with STOCK tires! Great job Honda!

    Interesting they crashed the S1000RR as 44 Teeth did the same. That bike has a very steep head angle, I wonder if it doesn't have enough trail for aggressive track use with stock setup...

    @@BrianEvansracer This is what I was going to ask. I’ve also seen them crash on track in the same manner. Is it a front end feel or front end geometry issue?

  • @siraff4461

    @siraff4461

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@jaykay1168 I think its geometry personally. They are a bit numb but they're not terrible. The problem comes when you're turning in and it feels like you have more available then it goes past a point and tries to tuck. Its as if the geometry is set up for a certain lean angle and anything over that starts pushing weight to the back so you just lose front end grip - which gets worse as it then tries to lie over. I've seen a couple of close calls which seem to be corrected by giving them some power but if you stay off throttle or trailing they don't want to come back.

    Not at all those are traces that they bottom it out. What is not disclosed here is if they did setup sag correctly for them. Looking at the BMW it seems not because setting up the sag you would not come out bottoming out that much as per the marks. But overall I agree that the ohlins in the other two give that extra bit of feedback. I ran the Aprilia and the BMW back to back on track and felt the BMW not so far from the Aprilia but it was on the slightly vague side of feel for the front.
