It’s kinda variable, at various times this season the track and conditions have suited the RP, Renault or McLaren better. The Racing point was simply a better car this season. Haha tracing point, yeah I know. But it’s not really even close. Both their drivers have missed races due to illness. Stroll had been particularly unlucky in races. Yet Racing point are third in the standings. It’s been very close I agree between the three teams, but it’s probably been closer than it should have been.

The points table might look bad, but if you actually go back to each race and see all the times Bottas lost big points and several race wins through factors outside of his control, he would literally still be in title contention. @@Flucose Something Ron Dennis said many years ago about F1. If you want more than a few teams to be competitive, then leave the regulations alone for a while. The FIA seems to favor constantly changing the regulations to to make it more competitive, and the opposite happens, the teams with more money adapt faster to new regs.

Pretty impressive to see max in pole,Norris in 4th and Kvyat in 7th

If this was possible with a car that was slower than the merc last year, I wonder what he is capable of this year

Anyone else notice how after Gasly won in Italy, Kvyat has been out qualifying and beating him in races more half of the time, especially after San Marino it seems like Kvyat has been on fire, I think especially with that Q2 lap where he went faster than verstapen, I think alphatauri/Red Bull should keep him for next year cause I think now in his 6th season of F1 he’s found himself and is consistent now.

It's been a weird yet strangely amazing season mates! On to the next one

@@metro3313 As a fan of F1, I kind of just accepted that there may never be a 2012-esque season again. Perhaps until 2022, we're gonna have Hamilton as champion and there's nothing we can do about that so for me at least, I'd like to enjoy the little things: unexpected podiums, unexpected wins, unexpected tracks. And this season produced more of those than the last few so this season wasn't that bad tbh

Fun fact: Ocon outqualifies daniel for the first time in a dry qualifying this season.

There were only 2 wet qualis this year: Austria2 and Turkey. And the score is 1 v 1. Your "fun fact" gives the impression that Ocon outqualifies Ricciardo in wet races, which is not the case.

Same as Renault the year before they get Riccardio as a driver, they were competing for the 3rd constructor position, but since his debut they lost their fight for 3d and got beaten by Racing Point.

WOW!!! For sure I am a giant LH44 fan!!! But this quali session was amazing!!! As an F1 fan, this is what we all wanna see. Tomorrow's start and race should be epic!!!

Max P1, Lando P4, this is the best quali we had this year! Also Kvyat faster than Gasly again...

Sainz will 100% jump on Albon and finish along Norris. Making them 3rd in constructors.

What a close and exiting Quali, lets hope this is a taste of 2021. Also i love the form of Mclaren, and i hope they get even closer with lando and Riccardo and the merc engine next year
