Leaders in Latin America used to be trained at the "School of the Americas", now known as the "Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation". Iron man Iron man well, not everything is what it seems. When Bukele started his political career as mayor of Nuevo Cuscatlan. He supported the idea of marxism and the role of the government in the economy, nevertheless, when he left the political party Fmln, he started to change his rhetoric, and now it turns out he believes in the market. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I voted for him, but he’s a populist. I hope he supports the market because at the end of the day he’s gonna do a combination of the two: government and market.

@@edand987 respeto tu comentario, pero no viene al caso, sabes que Venezuela era una potencia de con gran cantidad de recursos y Chavez podía comprar a cualquier persona o país con petróleo y pudo reelegirse. En Centroamérica nunca hemos sido capaces de ser países desarrollados, porque los políticos siempre tuvieron mentalidades mezquinas y solo velaron por sus intereses ,eso aplica a los de derechoa e izquierda. Nayib no es de derecha ni de izquierda, por que esta comprobado que ambas mentalidades fracasaron, él solo quiere trabajar para que mi país salga del hoyo que lo tienen los corruptos. El último presidente de derecha se robó 350 millones de dólares y la justicia sólo le puso 10 años de cárcel, pero el estado no podrá recuperar el dinero, su antecesor que también era de derecha, se robó otros cientos de millones y en el proceso murió aunque su cuerpo nadie lo vio , todos creemos que fue fingido y que vive en algún lugar con otra identidad. El primer presidente de izquierda que tuvimos se llevó 380 millones de dólares y ahora huye como rata protegido por Daniel Ortega y su sucesor un ex comandante guerrillero al momento no se sabe con exactitud lo que se robó pero todos esos que antes robaban gallinas ahora son prominentes empresarios. Ahora dígame, acaso no tenemos derecho a soñar con tener un país digno donde podamos trabajar para no emigrar, acaso no podemos soñar con tener seguridad y una vida digna y muchas cosas más. A caso los hermanos Centroaméricanos no tienen derecho a soñar que podemos ser grandes, si eso es pecado de un dictador, yo con gusto lo apoyaré siempre. Saludos! !

¿cada quien aportando su granito de arena? sabia usted que las empresas mas grandes del salvador no pagan nada en impuestos y que los presidentes en todas las administraciones desde los 80 han estado facilitando este fraude? Acaso Bukele ha dicho en algun momento que va a hacer algo para que los empresarios pongan su granito de arena y que los va hacer que paguen impuestos? Si lo ha dicho voy a necesitar una cita bibliografica o infografica porque yo no lo he escuchado decir que los empresarios van a empezar a pagar impuestos, ¿vamos a exigirle entonces que haga algo al respecto sobre esto? ¿vamos a exigirle que denuncie esa corrupción? ¿todos tenemos que poner nuestro granito de arena verdad tanto los ricos como los pobres? ¿o va a ser lo mismo de siempre donde solo los pobres ponen su granito de arena y a los de la elite nunca se les exige nada y se les permite hagan lo que les de la gana y exploten a los pobres?

As someone who left El Salvador more than 35 years ago, is exactly what Nayib said regarding why people migrate. Who in their right mind will leave their family, their culture, their food, their friends, their jobs, the tropical weather, to come and live in countries with -10-40 degrees celcius, if they just had an opportunity back home? No one will. The majority of us left because of the civil war, poverty, lack of opportunity, and no hope for the poor. And the so called governments for the past 50 years all they've done is steal our country's resources and money. Therefore, I personally am very happy that Nayib is my elected president, and all I wish and want for my country is peace, and opportunity for my people.

Esto no debe ser algo que empieze y termine con Bukele, sino todos tenemos que hacer de nuestra parte para aportar al país, y de esa manera el país siga siendo prospero hasta 10 o 20 años después.

@@freds8212 muy de acuerdo. Todos debemos aportar en lo que podemos, ya sea con nuestra experiencia laborar, conocimiento que hemos adquirido viviendo fuera de nuestro pais por decadas. Este cambio no es solo responsabilidad de Nayib es de todo los Salvadoreños, que deseamos un verdadero cambio positivo para nuestro pais.

@@freds8212 Si es posible hay que regresar lo mas pronto posible por decisión propia y aportar con los impuestos. Muchos en El Salvador solo trabajan por el dia a dia y no piensan en invertirlo porque los que mandan remesas no los supervisan. Así todo se hace más rapido.

I think he is because one he is compassionate and attached deeply to the country but also he sees the common sense in doing so. He nor the government can do all the work that needs to be done to make it all happen. Its the people and the pride of the people that will come out and add inspiration to doing a days work. Building a better building. Laying better pipes. Studying a little bit harder.Whatever labor you put forth. Knowing all the right things you do contribute and come back to you in creating a safe healthy happy land of people that simply feel pride in who they are. And of course the President will benefit because its his country too and a home he will be proud of because you the people made it this way.

This is the most intelligent president that I know in my life I'm Very proud to you Nayib Bukele. God bless you today, tomorrow and always .

This man reminds me of the great Rwandan President kagame. I am Salvadoran by birth and US nationalized and can’t wait to see what he brings.

He made me feel so proud when he stated he would do what's best for El Salvador not what's best for the U.S. or China. This shows he has a clear understanding of his position as OUR president. Not there to look out to see which government puts more money in his pockets but instead to look after the best interest of his country and his people!...I'm so very proud of you President Bukele and although I'm part of the 3 million citizens who are expatriated I want you to know we support you and deeply care for the well being and success of our country!
