Nice rigg man, really quiet motor I'm considering Yamaha for my next motor. I've got a 2005 Merc two stroke that I bought new on a 14ft Zodiac inflatable. Nice scenery , looks like you are in Alaska. Safe boating.

Listen..!! This F20 Yamaha as more than 362 cc like was the previous ones till 2020. it's now got 462 cc and the displacement is worth to see , because now you can maximise your propeller to the max with a big pitch. and you have the same motor as the F25 witch is also 462 cc. Amazing stuff again as you can convert your F20 to a F25 by changing the computer Box and the spacer

Here in San Diego this motor is on back order for several months with no available delivery date. I ordered one over a month ago and they say (MAYBE) December. Its lucky you bought already.

I have same motor in short shaft without electric start. I love it. I can lift it on or off the boat which I dont think I can do with anyone elses 4 stroke 25.

I agree, any heavier it would be a big problem. Lightest in its class by 30lbs! Thanks for watching and enjoy that Motor

@@paullam007 I ordered a outboard Dolly on Amazon.. word of advice if you get one, pay a little more for the heavy duty one.

With my boat I can be in just over a foot of water and be okay,, the rocks you are referring to were at least 10 feet below.. But I absolutely appreciate your concern 😁

Its a 16' 1979 Valco It was extremely aged when I got it, as a general contractor I used my skills to give it a facelift, new paint, built the platform with the storage hatch, along with interior LED lighting. I appreciate the comment!

For this motor I use a Yamaha oil and filter. I figured being that it's a Yamaha motor it would be the best was to go.

Ive heard good things about Tohatsu.

I have same motor...my boat is much heavier and I'm getting 25mph...I guarantee looking at your wake behind your boat you are doing at least 28+....try your gps app to see what it really is

Anybody don't need more to have a great fishing time, after buy a big boat with a big engine, the conclusion is "Trough out the money, and buy a dead weight" , the only thing I change is the brand, I prefer American motors like Mercury, but I don't know if made small engines I think so. Nice place, nice truck. Congratulations

Every Mercury motor 30hp or less is manufactured by Tohatsu in Japan. You are correct that larger motors are made by Mercury in China or Wisconsin. Mercury is owned by Brunswick, which is a U.S. company.

I have used a GPS to get an exact speed, but my best guess is it tops out around 27 mph

It's a 1972 Valco that I fixed up myself, painted it and added the carpet, standing platform and storage hatch. It was a great boat but upgraded to a new boat last year.
