Thank you for another great and professional review. I am myself owner of v40 CC with old volvo's 5cylinder engine the sound of which I do enjoy and do miss in present only 4cylinder units. As to your Brit origin, I'm from Poland and for a while I was mistaken that Canadians speak so wonderfully in British English :)

Definitely a sexy wagon.

i feel like this would be a great long distance hwy cruiser. seems like it would be pretty comfortable cruising at triple digit speeds and it doesnt call to much attention and flys under the radar. how does it feel when driving fast??

I got mine recently used for 16K. XC60 is like 50% more expensive, offering less sport and fuel economy.

Max, I agree 100% with you on this review. And Max, I agree 100% that wagons are SUPER COOL. When the world flipped for SUV’s and CUV’s whether you’re a growing family or a empty nester and anything in between I stand behind and I just can’t say I am in love with any SUV model ever. I think 1 of the biggest reasons we love Wagons/Estates so much Max is we grew up in them and they were a part of our youth maybe? But I always thought you got much more car for the money with wagons and being less common then the other cars on the road. Just google a 1972 Plymouth Fury Wagon or same with any full sized GM wagon of that year. Check out a 1974 Colony Park Wagon. We had a 1968 Ford Country Sedan, and a 1962 Plymouth Wagon. These cars were used in a growing family of 7 and they did grocery duty, to my dads Side Business of wallpapering, to Handy Man with sheets of Paneling and Dry wall, to family Vacations all back for the beach. And we used the wagon for moving a family of 7 No movers hired. So I love wagons and I think it’s a shame we had to raise them all up and cover them with cladding.

Great review as always. Can’t get enough of your fair assessments. How does a Brit end up in this part of Canada? I like Volvo’s design language, but those four cylinders scare me from durability and maintenance perspective.
