@3:28.... this is an exposed tube of the Reebok ERS (Energy Return System). I had a pair of the original basketball pumps and pulled apart the ERS after my shoes were finished... they are literally just plastic coloured tubes 😂

That first pair is fire...I'm an 80s baby too so I was like 9 when they were the hottest sneaker out there in 1990 when those twilight zones with the neon yellow came out. $170 back THEN...that's alot for today

Me too haha. Furys are great overall but 2019 re release had some quality issues. I covered it in another video but basically lots of glue stains, issues with the insole, etc. This was the first time me having QC issues on reeboks.

I never owned reeboks as a kid but I always wanted them lol. I am glad they are re releasing a lot of the shoes I wanted growing up!

I have a pair of Blacktop Battleground that you featured here. They are awesome. I remember back in the day you were the top dog in the playground if you had a pair of Reebok Pumps because they were so expensive no kid could ever afford them and no parent would buy their kid a pair of $200 shoes that they will outgrow in 6 months. Back then owning these shoes was a massive flex and made everyone jealous. It's the modern day equivalent to owning a Samsung Fold. Everyone who had a pair made exaggerated claims like it makes them jump higher and run faster because due to the added air it made them lighter (The shit kids believe, I know!), since we never had a pair we couldn't call them out on it. I always lusted after and desired these shoes since I was a kid back then and that desire never stopped. 30 years later and I eventually got a pair and Lord almighty was the wait worth it. I wear them as often as I can and people just stop and stare at them, you get noticed by everyone and they complement you on them all the time. Even when I'm with my friends random people smile and say "Nice Reeboks" or "Are those Reebok pumps? Nice!!!" as they walk past, all to the envy of my friends. Even standing in the checkout lines of shops you get people staring at them, You can see what they are thinking by the expression on their faces. Teenagers especially look at people's shoes to assess the person's wealth, they just nudge eachother and point down to them. I just look at them and smile. You don't get that reaction with Jordans or any other shoe for that matter. The comfort on them is great but when people see them it's priceless. My next pair are going to be OG Bringbacks. That'll take my retro threads to a whole new level. I can't wait.

Flipping love Pumps. Was really hoping for Reebok to retro the OG pump for the 30th Anniversary last year. Hopefully we get them this year. Currently i own those Battlegrounds in the black colorway and two Omni Zone Pumps. Twilight Zone Pumps look so rad.

They're not that bad really to be honest. I'll tell you something though. When you're wearing them you do get noticed and people do comment and compliment you on them. They remember all the advertising back in the day and they haven't seen anyone wearing a pair in 30 years so when they see a pair it makes them smile. It's just something nice for them to see in their normal day that they never see, for me it's not about any of that. For me it's the shoes I've waited 30 years to wear so it's even more special for me to wear them whenever I can. As a kid back then I nor my parents could ever afford these so my childhood had a vacant spot that was never filled until now. That's why I love them.

as a kid, the jordan 12 was the one thing i wanted. obsidians specifically, but any color wouldve been fine. second place was the reebok question.

They look really sick and have that pre-vintaged feel to the shoes. One bad thing i would say is the toe box gets creased up really really easily. Hope you are able to locate a pair for a reasonable price fam!

i had black blue reebok pump basketball high tops orange basketball on black toung. My friends had tennis one yellow tennis ball pump low top one had the cross trainer one too back in the 90s they were cool.

i had the blacktop back in the day and got roasted for them hard😂wish i could have them back today.

I had the Dee browns and a couple pair of Shaq attacks. I think the only pair I have left is the Kamikaze II Pump Twilight Zones. Speaking of which I need to wear those like ASAP.

This kid in my class in 1990 had the twilights and a cross trainer, the pump was black, the shoe was black and blue, I can't see a picture of those cross trainers on google anywhere. Do u know those??

The Reebok pump hi came out in 89. The omni zone 2(omni lite) came out in 91.👍

I got the 2017 Dee Browns and the Pump doesn't work :(

Everything featured in this video is either size 8.5 or 9 but I do have some reeboks (like Kamikaze 1s) in size 10. I still wear those as well. My intention for sneakers is never to really preserve or collect them to look at but I do have... a bit too many shoes. I have been collecting since 2001... and I have problems getting rid of them 😂😂. Thank you for watching!
